I had a GREAT experience at 260 for its Reformation sale and I'm super excited to return when Ref comes back. I saw on 260's Instagram stories just how popular this sale was with a line forming down the block, so I went on a couple of hours early on Friday. Once they opened the doors, I was able to snag a few items in my size that caught my interest and tried them on in the dressing. Things to know about 260's dressing room: -6 item limit -each room has no curtain or door, so you need to be comfortable with other people potentially watching you change -there's a communal area of the dressing room you can use if you want to try your items sooner without waiting in line As far as the Reformation sample sale goes, I bought three items (a long dress, a mini-skirt and a long-sleeved blouse) for $172! A steal for this brand. I didn't see any designated parking for 260 so I parked in the lot across the street at Rite Aid. read more

Holy Balls Beverly Hills! This is one heck of a place, just off Rodeo Drive with rotating brands each week with killer deals. When I was visiting from Alaska, the brand was Doc Martens. I walked out of the store with 4 pairs of boots and 1 pair of sandals for 225 bucks, taxes included! What a score! My baggage wasn't happy and I had to buy a second bag for all of them on my return flight. (Luckily Alaskans get 2 free bags on Alaska Airlines if we are Alaskans!) The crowds may be crazy, but do yourself a favor and brave them......you'll be glad you did! PS, killer customer service, even with crazy crowds. read more

Beware of Anine Bing sample sale. I have purchased many items from the 260 sample sale. I purchased a pair of Anine Bing leather pants. After ONE wear the leather is ripping away from the seams and the pockets. I wrote to customer service and they said they cannot help me. I have gone to two tailors and one shoe repair, no one can fix. It would be one thing if I could see the problem when I purchased it, but it was 100% fine in the store. They had to know this was a defective product. read more

However, I went back for a special sale recently, and I am surprised, the service from most of the staff, I received has improved a lot. We have some issues with this establishment that I think should be addressed not because it made me cringe but... it's also a huge violation of privacy and a couple other things. The fitting rooms for women are not secure or safe. They make us change all together in essentially one big room. The staff is very unkind in managing this room. I have seen little girls here for the sample sale they have happening at the time being exposed through the one curtain managed by staff who don't care about the discretion of others. If I was a brand thinking about working with this space I would preview the sale (pre-sale if you will) to check the safety and function of this building with few live customers in the building. To ensure I invest the right supplies to create a good space for my brand. That is.... Unless this place makes a change and holds themselves accountable. read more

Ugh, I almost feel like I'm outing one of my favorite secrets in Los Angeles by writing a review about 260 Sample Sale... But, its for a good cause. Sample Sale kind of says it all, right? I mean if you've ever been to one, you should have a jist of the layout. Think: - revolving inventory - varying designers - dressing rooms which require absolutely no humility, i.e. you are sharing a room with a bunch of half clad women so prepare to see some skin I love this location because the people who work it are really friendly. I've been impressed with the brands they get in as well. I attended a Sandro and Maje sale, two of my favorite brands. The items provided were actually in stock the week prior when I was shopping at a well known department store. They get current, in store items which I find impressive. Each piece I purchased was authentic and in flawless condition but again, with any sample sale, the burden of checking your merchandise is on you the purchaser. Another thing I loved about this particular location is the varying sizes they have! it's actually surprisingly organized. They put all the similar pieces together and have multiple sizes of pieces which is awesome as many other sample sales have 1 piece in 1 size. I'd highly recommend hoping on their mailing list. They rotate designers on a near weekly basis and send out blasts. There's no fee to enter and you can drop in only when they're featuring a brand you dig. Imported from NYC, 260 has brought its sample sale shopping platform to LA. Hooray! The sample sales I've checked out, including two Marc Jacobs sales and a Rag & Bone sale in the first location plus the recent Oscar De La Renta sale in the new location, have been well-organized, easy to shop, and far calmer than most other sample sales. AMBIENCE: While the original Beverly Hills space had enclosed dressing rooms which provided excellent privacy but also sometimes created 10-20+ minute wait times, the new space around the corner is even more spacious and clean and has a separate dressing room with semi-open stalls. Not sure how strictly the staff limits dressing room capacity, but at least there's the possibility of moving people through quickly during high traffic times. PRODUCT: Sample sale inventory varies in quantity, quality, pricing, and breadth of assortment from sale to sale, but I found the Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, and Oscar sales to be well-stocked across multiple categories. The Marc Jacobs sales included women's RTW, denim, handbags, wallets, samples, and surprisingly large assortments of men's RTW, and the Oscar sale had tons of ball gowns, wedding dresses, cocktail dresses, tops, skirts, pants, fur, shoes, bags, clutches, jewelry, belts, designer samples, and kids apparel. Some of the Oscar gowns felt like fairy tale dreams come to life! Rag & Bone offered denim, tops, jackets, bottoms, and shoes. Prices were 60-80% off retail, and depending on the sale, 260 often offers additional 25-50% discounts toward the last day or two of the sale. $40 for a Marc Jacobs wallet? $125 for an Oscar shift dress? Sure! SERVICE: The sales have been neatly-organized by category (dresses, tops, shoes, jewelry and accessories, handbags, men's apparel, etc), even in the middle or end of sales when things often become messily disarrayed. I've shopped sales here many times over the years and the last few times I've been in the employees have been soooo weird. The last sale I went to they didn't list prices on any of the garments so you had to ask the employee to scan every product to find out the price. I had to ask the employees questions multiple times to get any kind of answer or response. It felt as though they didn't want to speak to me. I noticed this for other customers as well. When I questioned the pricing on an item (it was meant to be 70% off retail) the employee gave me incorrect information then when I pressed him on his bad math he starred and said "I dunno". Literally not one person here was coherent or had even like minimal level customer service skills. I don't think I properly expressed how bizarre and uncomfortable this whole shopping experience was, but trust me when I say the 1 star is justified. I'd say skip this place and just shop online. Awful customer service regarding online orders. Ordered two items from their online store on Jan 11, "the delivery window is 10-14 business days" said on their website. Contacted them on Jan 16 to ask when the package will be shipped they said it takes 3 weeks. Waited 3 weeks and then contacted them again Feb 5 they fulfilled my order right away (so if I didn't contact they would just forget about it?). Received my order finally on Feb 14 and it's missing an item. Absolutely horrible experience, feels like they're waiting until the customer complains about the order to start packaging it and ship it out. The one item I received is in good condition hence the 3 stars. No idea where the second item is. read more

I've had positive experiences with 260 Sample Sale. They had a good selection of items, a good variety of sizes and fitting rooms as well. All of the staff was friendly and helpful and they kept things moving along. They also do a good job capping the number of folks in the store so things aren't too crowded or hectic. Long overdue rave review and big Thank You to all the staff at 260. I've had the pleasure of running a-muck there buying from their many sample sales since mid last year. And I have to say that these guys kick-tail, while always maintaining professionalism and kindness, in spite of how horrible some of my fellow shoppers behave. So many times I've witnessed other shoppers treat the clothing, shoes, and bags poorly...and then turn right around and complain about the quality. . The quality of the clothing IS top notch, some of the customers...not so much. And the people who work there exhibit nothing but patience and a fantastic attitude no matter what. They were the ONLY store that I felt safe & comfortable shopping in during the last year. The tall Rock Star (I think his name is Daren?? ), that runs the door & line of mostly pushy, anxious people, is always professional when explaining the safety rules as well as the guidelines of the sale that day. I've had nothing but fantastic experiences shopping there because of the staff, the clearly listed prices, exceptionally clean and organized environment, and GREAT deals I highly recommend going, and signing up for their weekly emails. 2/19/2020 Came here to check out the ban.do warehouse sale. Found 2 items that I liked and bought them at steep discount. Felt their online sale is probably better selection than at the store itself. Found $2 metered parking for 1 hour. 2/26/2020 Came again to check out the Ulla Johnson sale. Prices are hefty, but walked out with 1 dress that costs $$$. 260 is totally a hit or miss place. This weekend they had Rag and Bone sale and got some great deals. Although the last couple times Ive came here it was totally not worth buying anything. I've noticed it's best to wait until the last couple days of the sale as they usually will do additional sale discounts, but things sale out very quickly with the lower prices. For example I got a pair of Rag and Bone slides for $17 and a pair of Rag and Bone sneakers for $30 today. They always have great brands though and I actually enjoy the thrill of finding good deals here. read more

I have been coming here for years and years. And sometime the deals are great and sometimes not at all. But i must say, I am so fed up with the entitled behavior of each and every one of the employees And I mean each and everyone . From the woman handling the fitting room, to the cashier that looks at you like an an alien that made her look up from her phone. I spoke to several of the staff members asking for help and prices, and they they make you feel like you have no right to breathe the same air they did. Like your a fly they are trying to shoot away. In fact today one of them of clearly high as a kite. To the management of this place, as a business owner myself, i very much understand how difficult it is finding good help. But it is imperative, pls train your staff with the proper etiquette of Customer Service, their behavior towards your customers is gotten far too out of line. read more

I've been shopping at 260 sample sale since I lived in NYC back in 2012. I have to say that even when I moved to Los Angeles, this place has failed to disappoint. There's always amazing brands. The Los Angeles location is quite calm compared to the NYC location on 5th ave. The one is 5th ave is definitely a rat race, but it's quite fun and I enjoy the thrill. The one in Los Angeles is quite calmer with very nice and accommodating associates. Lori and Gina are two cashiers who work there regularly and have always been amazing at helping me with what I need. Please go to them when you have any questions in pricing. They're both very courteous. I know some people may disagree with me, but this sample sale vendor is very organized. If you've ever been to the BCBG sale in Vernon, cooper building, or the Reformation sale at the Platform, then you know it's amazing they keep everything organized and sized. I'm used to rummaging through boxes so this is a pleasant experience. I think a lot of people are used to a Class A department store experience when shopping in Beverly Hills, however this is a sample sale and the service you're getting here goes beyond what a sample sale needs to be. I responded, asking for the contact at Tom Dixon I would follow up with, and I have yet to receive a response. I spent $360 on un-usable light fixtures, and now I'm not getting a response from 260. I'm forced to conclude this business is a scam operation, not to mention this practice violates consumer protection laws. I'll be contacting BBB next. A cool $360 may mean nothing to Tom Dixon or 260, but for a private citizen, it's a lot-- a stack of busted plastic in the place of the light fixtures that were falsely advertised on their website. read more

I really, really, want to like this place. They shop is pretty and in a great location with free parking; and they have brands that I love at (in theory) prices that I love too. But I've been to three sales here and I was unimpressed each time. I went to Marc Jacobs, Zadig et Voltaire, and Equinox and the prices were not that good, only slightly better than if you bought them on sale but the merchandise is much older than what would be carried in a store. The line has been really slow every time (I waited almost an hour to get into the Equinox one when I arrived around 5PM). And the employees don't seem that interested in helping, it seems more like they want to churn people through. Then you have to wait forever for a changing room or forever - 1 for a communal changing room, then another forever to get to a cashier. On the plus side, the store is spacious and well organized. There's enough room to browse comfortably and it's easy to find your size. I will keep coming because I have found a few things each time that I love at a good discount so it's worth it to put up with the things that suck about this experience. read more

Stay away from these people! They couldn't care less if you buy a wrong size and want to swap for a different one. You can't try anything on so if you make a size mistake and want a different one, they flat out turn you down. The discount isn't worth the hassle. Also I've ordered online Pinko $500 worth of clothes and I never received them. It's has been 4 month and they just emailed me saying that They can't refund me money because it shows " delivered". I really like the idea of this store. Once a week they have a sample sale featuring a popular brand.They feature designer brands like Mont Blanc, Tahari, Oscar de La Renta, and Rebecca Minkoff, to name a few, at discounted prices for a limited time. Store is organized by clothing size. Beverly Hills needed a store like this! I attended the RTR sample sale. Yes, I like the idea of this store, but I'm not a fan,and here's why: 1. They have another location in New York and I felt like Los Angeles got shipped the leftovers. All the purses that I checked out had issues. All the clothing I tried on were misfits or had defects and I didn't particularly like the styles of the ones that seemed fine. 2. The store is not small but it sure felt that way. The racks were really stuffed (I went on the first day of the sale). It was pretty hard to sort through the clothing to find pieces that I liked. Add the other shoppers also sorting through the racks to make everything feel more crammed. After a while, I just gave up. 3. The dressing rooms are communal, which is fine, but they also only gave us a very limited amount of time to try on clothing and were very serious about kicking us out once the time was up. I get it that they want everyone to have a chance to get into the dressing room but, at the same time, it made for a negative experience for those already inside (no one finished trying on their clothes) and once I left, I didn't feel like standing in line to reenter. 4. I've had better experiences and more luck at other sample sale companies. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't give this place another chance. It's nice to not have to go Downtown for a bargain. I do LOVE me a good discount. On a positive note, I did spot a very well-known celebrity here, the employees were nice, friendly, and helpful, and although I and another friend didn't get anything, one of our friends got a great deal on a sweater (about 80% off)! read more

Have you ever tried to shop having a baby on your lap? It's impossible! Also it's just a discrimination that you don't allow mothers with babies in strollers to shop.
