BAD CASTUMER SERVICE I bought a pair of shoes for $900, and they came apart after being worn only twice. They refused to provide a new replacement pair and instead offered a repair with a three-week waiting time. After just two days, I had to go in person to ask for updates because there was no communication or phone call to inform me despite the fact that they had originally guaranteed a new pair of shoes. Terrible manager, terrible communication, and a complete lack of customer care. I do not recommend this store and I will never buy from them again read more

All people have different experiences at every store, but for me, the Salvatore FERRAGAMO team is the kindest of them all. Logan was extremely friendly. They always greet all clients fairly whenever I am at the store, regardless of race. They let customers walk by themselves and told me they would return to us in a few minutes to ensure we got helped. I was never being followed; honestly, they let me browse and check on me about 10 minutes later. I think that's better rather than being followed all around; they give me space to shop while still sure to check on me whether I need assistance or not. read more

We bought some shoes from one of their stores probably this store and after wearing them no more than 10 times, the sole underneath the shoes are just breaking and coming off in pieces. We took them back there to ask if they can repair it. We were willing to pay for the repair and he said that this is part of wear and tear and that they don't repair it. Fir some shoes that are about $600-$700 saying that they cannot even handle 8-10 times of wearing them, it is insane. This was our first and last time buying anything from this brand, as they are not even backing up their product and this shows really that the quality is very poor. read more

I love this brand and everything that it represents but the store in Beverly Hills is a whole Nother experience and disappointment. I purchased a belt and two pairs of shoes. The shoes I was not able to try on because they didn't have the right size so the salesman James ordered them from Hawaii to be delivered to my home. When they arrived which was about four days later they did not fit so I needed to return them which I was very willing to drive into Beverly Hills to return them. I spoke to four different people on the phone and they were telling me I was not authorized to return them but yet I needed to drive down there to discuss this with them. When I arrived with the two boxes it took about 35 minutes to return them and the gentleman who is my original salesman snubbed me as well as was somewhat disrespectful to me and his disappointment that I was returning two pairs of shoes that I never got to Tryon. I am pretty appalled at the attitude that these people have. It's uncalled for to say the least. I was told he has been working there for over 20 years. I can't even imagine! read more

GOTTA LOVE RACIAL PROFILING! We went into the Ferragamo store to return an item and to get a belt sized. The moment we walked in we were being handled. We weren't allowed to look around even while returning the item or getting the belt sized were we even asked if we were interested in any other items. While waiting I just stood there watching. After EVERY black person that walked in the door the person standing by the door would right away start talking into his head piece. But when white person walked in the door they were just greeted. i bought a belt 2 sizes too large at the outlets for $70 (half price), and they told me to go to the boutique store to get 2 more holes punched in. when I got to this store, they snootily gave me a lecture on how bad it would look if they punched the holes and told me to go to a shoe smith so they can do it for $40. Well, that would defeat the purpose of buying the belt at a discount in the first place. I insisted on them just punching 2 more holes on the belt. Well, they did it for me, but I think they purposely made it look really ugly to prove their point. It's like they didn't even try to align the new ones to the original ones....... wow.... great customer service.... I know I bought the belt at a discount, but still, I didn't expect them to ruin my Ferragamo belt. read more

My sole experience with this store is having called recently to inquire about a special order pair of men's shoes for a friend who wants a pair of Ferragamo shoes to wear with his Ferragamo belt. Rather than choosing something in the store, I recalled a former friend having a SA at this store order a style of shoe (I am unfamiliar with the name of the shoe) that came from Italy. It wasn't sold in the US unless via special order. Granted, that was about a decade or so ago, but I reached out to the store, gave them the person's name who they would order the shoes for and asked if anyone there knew him and the shoes he in question. I was told a senior SA would call me back, but I'm still waiting. I sure hope they're not on commission, because had I known I wouldn't receive a response, I would have had my friend meet me at Neiman. I love this location! The store is spacious and has many display rooms. James is the best - he always helps me to find the perfect, stylish, and timeless flats. I love getting his styling advice. James and his crew are efficient, approachable, and professional. They always provide prompt service. If they say a pair of shoes will arrive in 2 days, you can bet that will happen. When that pair of shoes arrived, you will definitely get a call or a text immediately. In some stores, the customers have to wait until the employees come back from lunch, but at this Ferragamo store, the staff tailor to the customers' schedules where they would pause lunch and provide the help first. Am I getting old? I always thought of Ferragamo as an old lady brand. You know, like quality leather in musty designs, silk scarves in rich lady prints, expensive high-collared clothing made for the wardrobe of one Lucille Bluth. But when Matt B. and I hit Rodeo to shop for anniversary gifts, I spotted mine from the street in a window display. Well done, Salvatore. I was looking specifically for a versatile black clutch. I'd been looking for months and nothing else had really caught my fancy. I stopped in and looked at the Ferragamo and spent the next couple hours browsing with Matt for his present and other candidates for mine. Before closing time, we came back and bought it. It's a beautiful black leather clutch, structured and sleek with a look not unlike that of a very nice book cover. I'm thrilled with it, even if this means my tastes are a bit older than they used to be. The store was well organized, clean and pretty. I still think a lot of the wares skew rich older aunt, but I'm happy with my purchase. We were helped by a great sales associate named Jimmy. He was really friendly and helpful, showing us not only the clutch but a selection of men's wallets for Matt, which we didn't end up buying at Ferragamo. Matt and I don't shop on Rodeo very often, but when we do it's nice to have some welcoming service. We aren't old or decked out enough to be taken for serious shoppers, so it would be easy to dismiss us. If we ever do decide to buy something at Ferragamo again, I'll make sure to give Jimmy a call. Maybe next anniversary I'll get a hankering for a cashmere turtleneck to hide those unsightly throat wrinkles. read more

I'm actually furious with the staff, particularly with a "gentleman" named James. He acts all friendly and was like, "Good to see you again" when in reality, I had never set foot in the store before. The Ferragamos I was wearing were from the store on Fifth Ave - in NY, sir, not LA. I bought a belt for my dad - a double Gancini reversible - James was talking to multiple clients at once so the service was super slow but he was friendly so I hadn't said much. He got the belt resized - cut - so that it'd fit the size I requested, boxed it up nicely, and we parted ways. I talked to my mom just now and found out that he had boxed the wrong belt. Well, my parents don't live here and the belt isn't here - it's been weeks since I bought it so I'm sure I can't return it anyway, not to mention the belt was supposed to be cut to fit - so I am FURIOUS that he boxed the wrong belt. How does that work!? How distracted do you have to be to cut the wrong belt!? Livid. read more

For men, this Ferragamo store has to live up to a lot of expectations being located on Rodeo, and right next to other major brands like Brioni, Tods, D&G. I've shopped here for about 2 years, but mainly for shoes, usually getting a couple pairs every 6 months, but only because the Tods next door was always out of my size in a particular style. I've grown to like these shoes a lot, and am impressed with the comfort levels that have improved over time. They still don't have the 'sneaker' feel of Tods, but are good suited to keep me happy in walking cities like NYC. They are actually priced slightly cheaper than Tods, which make me more inclined to spend here. The clothes are ok. I've seen George Hamilton here a few times, which automatically logs this place as an "old man's" store, but have recently begun to notice that some designs have a more youthful bent. I just got a pair of jeans and couple dress shirts to sample them out last month, and while I'm happy with the jeans, think the shirts are probably better suited to smaller guys that will likely never see the inside of a gym more than 10 days a year. For bigger guys, I suggest going to D&G across the street, where I do most of my shopping. Service here is funny, and probably not unexpected. As soon as a celeb shows up, they lose their minds, and you see the ass-puckering lips start to swell. When only normal people show up, they tend to gravitate to the more "up to par" clientele that look "good enough" to be in their store. It really is almost like a scene out of 'Pretty Woman' if you don't "look the part" in the store. Not sure I'll be back here for anything more than shoes..... at least not until I turn 50. read more

I once went here to exchange my shoes because they hurt my feet. I was rather upset that I had to go out of my way to engage in this menial event. As I was walking toward this store huffing and puffing, I saw the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen in my ENTIRE LIFE! I nearly fell over as I attempted to regain my balance. It was an unforgettable experience. My sister and I have frequented this store for years. I've bought everything from shoes to accessories for my daughter. It even sells clothing, but I've never bought clothes from this store. The service is blameless. Customer service is definitely stressed at this store. I do have to say, however, that I'm somewhat disappointed in its shoes recently. Its quality doesn't seem to justify the price point anymore. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and more practical. I will never make another purchase. I paid hundreds for a belt. Wore it once and the pen came from the buckle. Took is for repair and after a month it was returned. When I called to pick it up, I was placed on hold for an extended period of time, then the call disconnected. I asked if it could be mailed to me and I was advised that there was a repair and shipping charge and I would have to call back in an hour to arrange. This is my go to luxury brand when it comes to shoes, wallets and mens bags. I was always fond of this italian brand for its simplicity & amazing leather. The store on Rodeo is nothing different. Sales associates are always welcoming and helpful, mind you, I always dress down (sweats or basketball shorts) when I go to these boutiques and still get treated well (then again, I never really am dressed up lol). I showed the rep a picture of the shoes I was looking for then she left, which I assumed was to find them for me - but as I was browsing the store's other items ... I saw the same rep talking with her friends instead of working. Talking with her friends was more important than helping a paying customer at a high-end store I guess. No customer greeting, no eye contacts, even though we stood right in front of them. they just walk around and keep staring at their shoes. no one ever came to see if we are taken care of until I asked one of the staffs for help. no offense but most the staffs here don't know how to spell customer service. The sales lady was very helpful and attentive, offering her recommendation that the shoes typically run true to size and the patent leather does not stretch. I stopped by again over the weekend with my fiance to looks for a pair of men's shoes. We were there for about 10 minutes and not once did a sales associate offer their help. We were looking to try on a few pairs of shoes and possibly make a purchase, but several people walked by without even a glance. Believe it or not. It was in LA that Salvatore Ferragamo found his success. Ferragamo and his brothers emigrated to the US and moved to first Boston then Hollywood. His made to measure shoes became prized items among celebrities in early 20th century, leading to a long period of designing footwear for the cinema. He also studied at USC. It was later in his life that he returned to Italy to make fashion shoes for the wealthiest and most powerful women of the world, including Peron. Of course, now in this store, you find not just shoes, but also women's and men's wear. I like this store the best out of all other Rodeo Drive shops because the staff is attentive and savvy. They are a bunch very friendly people. Although I like their clothes, I buy mostly my shoes here because they are classy and easy to pair with pants or skirts. For guys' gifts, I like their ties. Their mens' shoes are mostly not fit for guys, especially Asians, who have wide feet because they run narrow and can't be stretched. For the Spring 2010 collection, the women's wear sticks to the more covered-up, sophisticated path like the last season. Africa was the reference point. That led to jodhpurs cut very generously at the hips. I also like the pale coats in crocodile, python, and laser-cut leather. read more
