Very rude and no type of customer service only a guy from women's shoe department attend us and asked if we need help .

They have a tiny Bra section and nobody was even in the section helping so I was all alone the dressing rooms were licked so I had to search the store to find someone to open it! I went in to buy a standard store brand suit that their website says is available for pickup in the store. The salesman started off by bringing out three suit jackets, none of which were what they advertise on their website. He eventually said they do not carry it in stores, and the ones he showed me were returns. The salesman would not order it for me or sell me what I wanted. Never going there again. read more

I had one hour to find clothes for my husband and the husband of my adorable newlywed friend, Jennie. My driver (read husband) dropped us off because you can't expect me to park in those ridiculously small spaces the parking lot offers. We are in a hurry. Miss Jennie needs to sneak some new clothes in her husband's suitcase so he will realize he can't live without her on his guy's trip. The Ted Baker salesman, who proudly wore his fishing tackle on his lapel, was very helpful. He just can't leave his department. We still needed to see shirts, shorts, hats and ridiculously colorful, possibly embarrassing swimming suits. We were on a mission. I loudly asked for the manager because I needed attention and time was of the essence. Enter the charming and handsome manager Billy. Immediately Billy was part of the program. He went to the back secret area and presented different shorts in the sizes I needed. He returned in 60 seconds. Billy was a rock star. He helped ring me up (we worked with the best salesperson at the Ted Baker counter) and, are you ready for this--Billy wrapped all my clothes for my husband's birthday! Himself! Billy is my 5 star Bloomingdales success and I recommend him to all the ladies and men looking for service above and beyond. One hour and many zeros later on the credit card, we found our driver and zoomed away holding heavy bags and big smiles PS I just returned and Billy took great care of me again! He is the best! PPS. Bad business practice. I wanted to buy a $700 Movado watch and an Asian Korean woman NOT doing a good job in helping me refused to remove the stupid plastic film off the face of the watch. She only wanted to show me a small edge of the face. How am I suppose to see the entire watch if you refuse to remove the plastic film? It's a plastic film on the face that can be removed and be placed back on! A customer service failure on your part, Bloomingdale's. I use to buy from you but I'll have to change that now. That was a bad customer service representative. She just looked at me like she didn't know what I was asking. This Bloomingdales doesn't have a great variety of shoes for men. I feel like this is a location mainly dedicated towards the female customer. The customer service is decent. The parking on the weekend is horrible so I highly advise parking at Americana and just making a short walk to the store as this will save you time and frustration. If you can't find what you need and your frustrated just walk across the street to bevmo because they will always have what you need! read more

This time, I bought something and was ready to check out but when I came to the register and placed my items down, this man up and left the register, without saying a word....A WORD. Had the manager called over to tell her how unprofessional their staff has been and this employee in particular. He tried justifying himself by saying he did say he would be right back...A LIE..the manager then said their must have been a mis communication... uh NO.... then she said they had been busy that day.... This new Bloomingdales at the Glendale Galleria is very high end. I have never been a Bloomingdales before like this one. The presentation is very glitzy, futuristic, and almost feels like something that comes from out of this galaxy. It has a futuristic funky vibe, I almost feel like I am at Space mountain at Disneyland. The displays are high and bright, and the silver decorations make you feel like you are in a space ship and orbiting the galaxy. I know it sounds like a crazy analogy, but that's how this Bloomingdales feels. On the positive side though, they do have really high end brands, more so than your typical Bloomindales. Its also a little more open and not as crowded as some other Bloomingdales in so cal. They also have a fairly decent section in menswear. They do have an awesome fragrance counter. If you are a cologne junkie like me or you are a woman and you love skin care and cosmetics, then this place is definitely worth checking out. The Bathrooms are also very clean and they don't seem to get too crowded. This place is definitely worth checking out, but be forewarned, you may feel like you are on that TV show "The Jetsons" with its space age vibe.. read more

If I could give this place -1000000 stars I would. These are the rudest, most condescending group of salespeople I have ever come across... I came to return my Stuart Weitzman shoes that were worn once for a couple of hrs and purchased a few weeks ago and the soles at the bottom were torn. The man at the counter refused to give me my money back but then said he could give me another pair in store. He then could not find another pair but tried to sell me the same shoe in a different size and color. Are you stupid? So then I asked if he could order them online and he said yes. Then he runs to his manager and apparently he tells him he cannot do that. After arguing with the salesman for 10 min I ask to speak with the manager. The manager is a complete asshole. He's asian - didn't catch his name. He didn't even say "hello" he simply said "we can't return your shoes. They are worn...........we can just send your shoes to our best guy in Beverly Hills that will repair them no charge." I asked him where AGAIN does it say in the return policy that they can't exchange my shoes. He fiddled with his computer for a good 15 min before finding some little page that says "we do not accept worn items".....really? IF THIS WAS NORDSTROMS THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN! I then told the guy to fix my shoes but said that Nordstroms would never treat me like this. They would eagerly take back the shoes and want my business. I will never shop there again.....they pride themselves on being a step up from Nordstroms yet their customer service is worse than JcPenny's...... DO NOT SHOP AT BLOOMINGDALES. RIP OFF. Unbelievably difficult (impossible actually) to get someone on the floor to ask questions of - or even PAY your bill. Even more difficult is trying to get someone on the telephone to ask a question I have about returns. Since this information is not on the receipt (why?) I had to call. So - get this - someone IN INDIA answers your call to transfer you to a store two miles away. So wrong. But no one answers the phone - IN ANY DEPARTMENT. Not the store operator, not the specific department, not the executive customer service dept. It should not take 14 minutes on the phone and STILL not get an answer. I don't care how nice the interior design of the store is. I am not going back. read more

Bought some expensive Michael Kors pants for my husband four months ago. Two washes and they're all faded out in the front. For God's sake even Target pants last at least a year! Tried to return them, the receipt says up to 365 days return, but NO! They're not 'saleable' so Bloomingdale's won't take them back. Well, they're DEFECTIVE of course they're not saleable. They're not WEARABLE either. Considering the money we've spent here you'd think they'd see their way to a return but no, it's 'not policy'. So they just lost our business for good. I go shopping every week. Glendale in general has a great selection and usually subpar employees. My mom went to the Kiehl's section to buy some facial sunblock. She asked a few questions and the lady "working" was so unhelpful. She clearly did not want to be there. Without explaining, her answers were basically "buy whatever you want." And then my mom picked the one she wanted. And then the lady unapologetically said there's no more. Why are you showing us things you don't have in stock! I was so annoyed at how rude she was to my mother. But my mom is more patient and said that's just the way she is. Next my mom picked out a (good commission) jacket. And this lady walking by said she'd help us if we're ready. And made us go to the farther register because that was where she was "ready." But instead of checking us out, she took out all the cash and started counting all the bills she had. She had to make sure the register was fully stocked. Even though we were going to buy with our credit card. I don't know why she wanted us to watch her count money. It was so annoying that she brought us across Bloomingdales to do that. When my mom had enough, she said she'll come back after looking around some more. And the lady said oh no don't go. I'm almost done! We came back. She got her undeserving commission. Thirdly, my mom wanted to buy a shirt and was waiting by another register to check out. And two girls there were talking to each other. And my mom asked if she can check out. They yelled at her asking WHO ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Who are you looking for? What do you need?! They're so dumb and so rude. My mom was so confused. Uhh. I just want to buy this. And when the girl realized what my mom needed from her, she was like OH. and took her shirt and scanned it as if she was doing my mom a favor. Obviously, this was the worst experience I've had at this location. But this was the worst day. It was especially infuriating because people were being rude to the both of us. Overall, I think my experiences here are 50/50. 50% okay when they can answer my questions decently or when no one talks to me. 50% bad. I really want Bloomindale's to evaluate their employees. The store looks like a XXI Forever - but with higher prices. I don't like this new, crazy quilt, interior design-heavy Bloomingdale's layout; if you have been to the one at Santa Monica Place, this new Glendale store has the same design. It's confusing and rather garish, heavy on showcasing labels. Frankly, I'd rather take the more useful layout found at the Century City Bloomingdale's. On a side note: Branded Gucci and Louis Vuitton sections within a department store does not mean your mall has Gucci and Louis Vuitton boutiques, Glendale Galleria. Just saying. Super friendly employees! I was searching for a Gucci ring. I was at the Bloomingdales in south coast plaza and the lady was super rude. So I called Bloomingdales in Glendale and spoke to mariane. She quickly searched to see if they had the Gucci ring and size I wanted. She put it on hold for me. When I arrived she was busy with another consumer so instead of having me wait Bella took over and assisted me. The ring I had placed on hold didn't fit so Bella helped me out with other sizes. First of all, I hate the exposed ceilings...no matter how hard it's put to look nice, they never be. It makes me feel like I'm in a warehouse. It's ugly. Inside is small. Shoes area is awful..I saw lots of shoes from summer 13. They just collected all the leftover from all the bloomingdale's in CA and put them as if they just came out. This bloomingdale's just opened up and it's November. How come do they display wedge sandals in the middle of the section!?? No Prada...I thought they would carry some stuff according to the website even though there's no store. The only good thing is probably the cosmetics section. Mida (sunglasses department) had excellent customer service. She showed me several different brands and observed how they looked on me. She recommended a few new brands which I loved. I generally have a hard time finding glasses because I only think one style looks good on me but she made me feel confident about my options. She was very patient and kind as I wanted to try on so many different kinds. She listened to what kind of style I wanted and was able to find a pair of glasses that I loved. I have never experienced this level of customer service at such a high level. She is so pleasant to speak with and is very knowledgeable about brands and what models are available. I would definitely go back to see her when it's time to get sunglasses again (and have asked my mom to go back with me so she can buy some too!). I do not have a Bloomingdales card but I definitely want to get one now! read more

It's very nice and bright, but that's about it. This store is a lot smaller than other stores I've been to which means very limited selection of merchandise. No-one approached me in the shoe department when I was really hoping to buy myself a belated bday present. I walked over to the Giuseppe Zanotti table and there were only TWO shoes just sitting there! The other designs were just scattered amongst other displays. Very disorganized. I'm just more annoyed at the lack of customer service in the shoe department. I am only giving this place an extra star because a girl from another department offered to run around the store to pick up a couple pieces for me when I told her I was looking for a leather jacket. Customer Service skills were lacking on my visit. I purchased about $200 in foundation....Lancome, NARS and Clinque also a Lancome eyeliner. When I made my purchase the Lancome came with GWP with a certain amount. Well I did not like the Lancome or NARS foundations but I wanted to keep the eyeliner and Clinque. I was told..not informed that she could not accept the return because it had to be in a condition to sell to another customer....first that is kinda gross but okay. I remember when this Bloomingdale's used to be a Mervyn's back in the day when the Galleria had carpeted floors and the Sanrio store was right outside its doors. They have really renovated this mall and it looks beautiful. The Bloomingdale's was empty the day I went, but that doesn't mean that the store itself is lacking in any way. Let's start by an Louis Vuitton purse that i received for my birthday in October. I opened the purse and of coarse I loved it! But, wait it's not the right size it's the MM and not the GM. No big deal and I asked for the receipt and I never opened the receipt and stored it in my closet. Purse has been in my closet in the protective bag and box. I finally got around to exchanging the purse today right before Chinese New Year and rep said the return policy is 14 days. I am not returning it! Just simply exchanging for a more expensive item. This review is only for the Mac counter at Bloomingdales. I find that I'm always in Bloomingdales getting my Mac makeup fix. Although there are two other Mac locations this is the only one I actually enjoy going to. I can't stand going to the one across the street at Nordstrom, the girls are pushy and hover over you, it's so frustrating. These girls here at Bloomingdales are not pushy and they're so helpful. Ive made huge purchases over the phone and theyre always so patient and willing to help me shop when I'm in store. Marissa in particular is one of the most amazing Mac girls I've had a chance to meet. She nice and always contacts me to update me with the collection that will be launching or just to say hi and welcome me in to shop around. I usually have a great experience at Bloomingdales. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of stopping here a few days ago to purchase a dress for an occasion. The Ted Baker department was empty, no employees in the neighboring departments either to assist me. I felt like I was on an abandoned island and needed to cry out for help. I'm in the market for some new work clothes, so today I stopped by Bloomingdales. I know my neck and sleeve sizes but not my chest measurement. I went over to the men's area and asked if someone could take my measurements. The first guy I asked pointed me to a sales associate who was standing off to the side -- who looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights. He got a tape measure out of a drawer and awkwardly approached me. "I don't really know how to do this," he said. And then he stood there in front of me, holding up the tape measure with an uncertain look on his face. "You don't?" I asked. He shrugged and said "It doesn't matter. You have to try things on, anyway." I left and went over to Nordstrom's, where I got my measurements taken and received world-class service. read more

Had to stop in since it was next door to Pirch the AWESOME home improvement store. I decided to keep the groove going and of course I needed a pair of shoes and then I realized I also needed a purse, watch and other LADY things because I have one more day to celebrate my BIRTHDAY. I found all the things I needed plus a few I wanted, everthing was so fly I had to have it. However I am not to blame because the sales staff were so friendly and helpful, Lol and they agreed I did need all the items I purchased once I told them how hard I work and do not get a chance to shop as often as a hard working girl should , Lol This store has all the latest fashions and excellent Customer Service. That's the reason I had to shop because I love good Customer Service and they had a lot of summer items on sale making room for the Fall Fashions. Anyway I did very good and saved my hubby a lot of money. So he should be very proud of me.
