Read how the owner responds to any criticism. It's very revealing. When you experience faulty or non functional equipment (the massage chair) as part of your salon experience, (one of your favorite parts of the experience) and you relate that in your review, it's very invalidating to have the owner basically say, "Yeah but that's not what we provide. We provide a pedicure and you got a good pedicure so you should be happy." Oh and it actually IS one of the core services I'm looking at when choosing a pedicure place. I won't get one where they don't have massage chairs. And one of the reasons I actually sat down in your place after the lukewarm blasé welcome from the ball cap wearing teenage girl with no smile or friendly attitude (seriously I wonder if someone is making her be here against her will) was because it looked so clean and the chairs looked new and I thought it would be a really good massage chair. When I was in my broken chair, my sister called me, and I told her about the chair problem, and the first thing outta her mouth was, "Oh girl that's the best part!!" I replied, I know right?! And I thought they'll probably move me to another chair, but I got off the phone and nobody said anything about moving to another chair or even asking me if I wanted to. Maybe the owner doesn't feel like it's a big part of the experience, but I do and I'm the customer. I feel the correct response to my review would have been something along the lines of, " I am so sorry your experience wasn't perfect here, We want to make sure you leave completely satisfied and it sounds like that didn't happen. Please give us another try and we will make sure you have a functioning chair and are completely happy with your pedicure! I apologize no one asked you if you would like to move to another chair while you were here and your chair wasn't working I'll make sure we do better next time! That's something that would have made me come back to this salon. But maybe that wasn't what she was looking for. ‍ I find it's never a good look to be adversarial with your customer.

I went in for a Mani and Pedi and my nails I paid $70 which I was happy to do but once the mani tech Katie came is she was rude. Kept Pulling my hand and getting upset that I couldn't understand her. To top it off my changed nails changed color from pink to orange after not even 1 day. .Same thing happened to my niece. She went in to get them fixed and she was charged an additional $12 for polish change. She is only 10 years old. Wow! Greedy.: Never coming back to this place

LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been coming here for years, both for pedicures and to get my nails done. I love the environment and have been so pleased with the improvements that Kim continues to make it even better. Getting your nails done is always a treat, but even more so when you are able to enjoy a glass of wine, mimosa, or sparkling water while doing so. Chloe is my go to person for nails (she's amazing!!) and even pedicure designs when I want something complicated or detailed.

I used to come to this nail salon all the time when I lived in Petaluma, and my last review was a five-star because I consistently had great experiences and quality work. I recently visited again and while I will say the remodel is really beautiful--the space looks modern, clean, and much nicer than before--I'm disappointed to say the quality of service doesn't seem to match the upgraded aesthetic. I had recommended this salon to a few friends who still live in the area, so I felt like my word was on the line. One of my friends was generous enough to pay for all three of our services, which came out to over $200 for manicures with chrome. Unfortunately, all three of us experienced the same issue: the chrome started chipping and flaking in less than a week. These were meant to be my vacation nails and carry me into the new year. I wasn't doing any heavy labor, washing dishes, or anything that would normally cause wear. Because of how quickly they chipped, I honestly don't even want to start the year with these nails--they just look bad and unfinished. The same thing happened to my friend's nails as well, which made the situation even more disappointing. I truly liked this place and used to trust the work enough to recommend it confidently, which is why this experience was embarrassing for me. While the salon looks better than ever, I hope the quality and attention to detail return to what they used to be, because that's what originally made this place stand out.

My first time at this salon. They've got lots of colors and many manicurists. I got an adorable spring, gel manicure from Lyn. I can't stop looking at them. I showed her a design I liked and she recreated it - with a chrome twist. Ps. I need them short for work.

I really wanted this to become my new go-to salon. My first experience there was great. But when I went back to get a fresh gel mani I came away so disappointed. My nails were filed extremely unevenly and the design was not remotely close to the example picture I showed. I wish I had been told that this design was not something that they could do and I would have just got plain blue nails. I do want to point out that I was politely greeted and shown to a chair immediately when I arrived, offered a drink several times, and my simple, one color pedicure was fine. There are positives to this place and both women who I interacted with were very kind. But I'm just very unhappy with the quality of the manicure I received for the price I paid ($115 total) and unfortunately won't be returning.

Editing review because another nail fell off. I used to go here all the time but quality seems to have gone downhill a bit. After they fixed it the second time and added builder gel and a new nail, they looked pretty misshapen and thick. I went back for them to fix again. They look much better finally but are now much shorter than I originally wanted. Hopefully no more fall off. I got gel x short almond with 2 coats funny bunny and 1 coat bubble bath. They always do a really incredible job here! One nail fell off after a couple days (not typical for them) and they fixed it for me no problem! Typically a set like this will last 4 weeks.

I just switched over to Bloomingnails a few months ago because I moved, and I can't rave more about them for nails. Everyone is super friendly too, especially the owner Kimm. She always makes me feel welcome! I love how they have an online scheduling system, it's definitely more convenient than calling to make an appointment. They are really good about keeping appt times and will serve you drinks while waiting or during your service. I've gotten gel for my fingernails and gel pedicures with several different girls, and all of them have done a great job. I love how I can go and not worry if they will do a good job or not. Everyone there knows what they are doing and they do it efficiently and nicely! I've brought a few friends here to try, and a couple of them have switched over to Bloomingnails because of their prompt and great service!

I have been a client of this nail salon since the first day it opened for business under the previous ownership. Since it switched ownership, I continue to be a loyal customer. For one thing, Bloomingnail's is much better than the old one. Kimm and her team maintain a very clean and positive atmosphere at the salon. I love the fresh cut flowers throughout the place, the new pedicure chairs, and the overall decor. I usually ask for Hiep and Hannah to do my nails, but anyone from Bloomingnail's will do a good job! If you haven't been to Bloomingnail's, I highly recommend giving it a try! read more

ALSO, the gel chipped on 2 nails the same night/the very next day. Not worth it. They hurt/cut you and don't say shit. DONT COME HERE. read more

This was my absolute go-to salon when I had acrylics and it's still my go-to for regular mani-pedis now that I'm all natural now, too. Everyone who works here is very skilled. They're great at acrylics, dips, gel, you name it, and if you want a really fun or colorful design, they can do that as well. My hands and feet always look and feel great and their mani-pedis really last. The owner, Kim, is delightful and everyone is both professional and very nice. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!!! I've never had a better experience at a nail salon. Not only are my nails ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, but the whole experience was lovely. Tracy is a master at design! Also a huge thank you to Kim for being so sweet. Right when I walked in I felt sooo welcomed and was even offered a glass of champagne! I really liked this place & like the quality of the work & their polish selection my issue is that they can't seem to honor an appointment time. I walked out today in frustration as I'd make an appointment & showed up on time if not a couple minutes early. My appointment was at 10:30 & they told me I'd have to way 10 minutes I asked if it would be more than 10 minutes, she responded no & then I came back & she still wasn't ready 20 minutes after my appointment time. My daughter recommended so I gave them a try. My first gel manicure began chipping a day and a half after my service. Also, they charge sales tax on their services which they should not be doing. Services are not taxed. I let them know but they didn't care. That adds about 10% to each service. I gave them a second try and same thing, my gel manicure and pedicure began chipping within a couple of days. The whole point of getting gel and paying more is to have it last longer. They continue to charge sales tax. I won't be going back. read more

BEWARE this shop tries to charge more than the prices posted. Spa menu was right on the reception counter and I was charged a greater fee than posted. When questioned the receptionist said the pricing on the counter was the old menu and the correct pricing was in her computer and couldn't be changed. She would tell the owner for 'next time'! Asked to speak to manager who was not in site so I had to request she call them. I was finally refunded the difference by a very reluctant receptionist. They don't even deserve the one star for the sneeky business practices! read more

Woah took me way too long to find this place. The whole appointment I was impressed and kept getting better! The scrub, accuracy, attention to detail- very impressive! Friendly, professional, precise. I did the gel mani/pedi and it was so relaxing and amazing! The stones the shoulder rub. Alllllll of it! I did chin and lip wax and was perfect! i went in for a full set and did gel pedicure two days ago. my friend went there before and got a full set with nail art and it looked okay so i gave it a chance. i was extremely disappointed with my acrylics they were thick, bumpy, and the french tips were horrible. the woman that did my feet was amazing she was gentle and asked me questions about how i wanted them. the woman that did my nails didn't ask for much after i showed her a reference picture i wanted them shorter and she left them, they were shaped uneven, and placed crooked the other woman that did my nail art left my nails uneven i asked her to fix some of them and she did but made it worst. i payed $135 for everything. i went home and filed and shaped my own nails will never come back. read more

I went in for my 4 o'clock appointment. The receptionist told me I must've called the Tiburon address, but I have the email confirmation on my phone. I did not call Tiburon. I called Petaluma. I made an appointment. She sat me in chair number two with ice cold running water while she was on the phone the whole time in a court case so I had to sit there and listen to this court nonsense she put my foot up on the cushion, went into the back and just continued her court conversation. I got up and left at 4:15 when she had done nothing but take off nail polish on one foot. Then she walked away, went to the back and proceeded with her court hearing. I was a regular, but I'll never be back again. That was a terrible experience and I don't think you should treat your clients like that. read more

I called for a pedicure and Ruby was a delight to talk to! She got me in the same day and made sure my appointment was exactly what I wanted. Upon arrival I was seated immediately and was offered a variety of drinks. Water was nice and toasty for my pedicure which was lovely given the cold weather. My pedicure was done by Lynn and I will be requesting her from now on! She was so nice and did such a great job! She laughed with us and had a nice conversation which left us laughing. I brought my 9 y/o her to get her polish changed. I really liked that they didn't charge to remove gel polish. She had a picture of what she wanted and they did a great job even on her tiny fingernails. They had a great selection of colors. I went with a simple glittery pink. She also put a layer of nail strengthener on when I told her my nails split and that's why I keep them so short and she gave me some tips on how to grow them longer.
