She took about 20 mins maybe 25mins with my 3month old hair growth . This was my first time doing a chocolate wax in my 10yrs of only Brazilian waxing, I felt the same except the temperature of the wax was much cooler than others, which my sensitive skin reeeeeally appreciated, and you can smell the cocoa which is nice I didn't have to purchase the Groupon I saw online, they allowed and prefer payment in store (cash or debit or wireless). Also, full price is still very affordable and they have reward/loyalty card program. 1st visit the end of July had lashes done and I was pleased with the service. Returned on 8/9 for a refill (different technician) and while I experienced some mild burning I had an otherwise uneventful visit. Returned today for a refill (yet another tech by the name of "Neel") and after being questioned "Where my lashes were done?" "Who did my lashes?" How long ago they were done?" The tech ("Neel") continued to accuse me of having services rendered at another establishment. I paid the previous visit with my debit card, I showed proof that the services were completed there, on the date stated. At that point I was met with "You have to see that tech because we all do lashes differently" (although she previously stated they have techs visit from different shops so it's really no way to know when your requested tech would be working. I requested to have the lashes removed so that I can cease future business with this establishment. With lash bars on every block avoid this establishment and opt for a place that trains all techs the same so whoever renders services you will be assured of consistency. (Addendum: after I left my visit I found my punch card and although Neel didn't believe that I had been previously serviced there before she was actually the first technician that applied my lashes. Business contacted Yelp to have review removed instead of making any attempt to rectify the situation.) Please read the response from the business owner (whom I've never met) and decide for yourself if this is an establishment that you'd like to do business with and proceed with caution. read more

Consistent quality and friendly service has made me a regular here. I come in for threading and tinting once every 3-4 weeks. The place is small but cozy. I've had multiple people do my brows (Kamala, Neel, Sunny) and they are all fantastic. I've recommended this place to my friends and will be back again. I saw some reviews mention their brows are not exactly what they wanted after tinting... while that may happen, the sharp edges fade quickly after 1-2 washes of your face so don't worry if you see harsh lines or are worried it's not natural looking. I have been going for 10 yrs. I work locally and would go every two weeks. I went recently and a new girl was working. She was very aggressive with remove wax of my face and ripped my skin off. Im left with a scar now. She apologized and returned my money but then blamed me for multiple things like- i should have told her its too hot and i shouldnt have been moving and its because i use a retinoid- which I never have. Thats not how you respond to customers who have been so loyal. She basically said go do what you want we already apologized. Came in for a wax appointment, I was welcomed by a Nina whom was very cold and unbothered. I waited and then further explained that I have a sensitivity to normal wax and could only use chocolate wax which they carry and is common to use for sensitive skin. She refused to use the wax informing that honey wax was the only wax she would use. There was no care and once I asked for her name she did not want to give it to me. Would not recommend this place. I found this place through Groupon. This was my first time at this location and I can say that it was extremely clean. I did a walk in and I believe you can set up an appointment if you prefer. There were to ladies there and I wish I asked the name of the women who services me. She was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable. This was my first time getting chocolate wax and it wasn't as painful. She talked to me through the whole process so I wasn't focused on the pain. I definitely do plan on returning here for future wax. I do recommend this place to anyone that works or live in the area. FYI - there is a Groupon fee If you purchase a coupon. I had my eye brows threaded and tinted for $18 including tip for my first time because they were offering a promotion for free threading with tinting. Well shaped brows and beautifully darkened tint after. I had a little bit of the color from the tint on my skin after the tinting which might be normal but it came off after a shower and some light scrubbing. Clean space and nice ladies that work there. The curtain in the wax room are FILTHY DIRTY AND SPOTS OF BLOOD. I'd heard great things about the UES location so when I heard that they had a new spot near my store I knew I had to check it out. Kamala did an amazing job on my brows and lashes. I did a brow threading and brow and lash tint. She was able to thread my brows right away and did a great job keeping them neat, but full. Just as a I requested. She perfectly matched the brow color to my hair color. For my lashes she recommend I try the "Blue Black". I'd never heard of that before and it totally makes my eyes POP! I've been going makeup free since I came in. Their prices are unbeatable. I've paid almost double elsewhere in the West Village/Chelsea for inferior results. I bought a Groupon for a lash lift after seeing all the great reviews this place had. The lady who did my lashes was very nice but I am not at all happy with how my lashes turned out. I've gotten lash lifts before so I know very well what the before and after is supposed to look like. However at the end of my treatment, my "after" looked just like my before. My lashes did not look any curlier and I could have achieved a better curl using a drugstore brand eyelash curler. The tinting solution burned my eyes so bad that she had to end the timer early and I thought there is no possible way this could be safe for my eyes. It's a small salon, but the service was pretty good. My lashes look great. It was my first time getting a lash lift and tint. The worker would always check up and ask if I'm okay. While the worker was wiping off my tint, she sorta wiped some of the product into my eye which burned for a bit. Aside from that, I see no issue going there to get a lash lift +tint.
