I went there and arrived and the restaurant was almost empty. I think I just had missed the lunch crowd. My food was good but the service was not. I ordered the seafood enchiladas that everyone raved about and they were good. I was disappointed to only get one though. The rice and beans were pretty good too. I didn't care for the chips at all. The margaritas are good. I went during happy hour, and they have about 5 different margs for just $5, which is a great deal. House marg is tasty, so is the spicy marg. I wasn't hungry during my visit, but I was interested in looking at the menu for future reference. While I would like to dine there, it's just too pricey for me. My favorite, go-to dish is cheese enchiladas. Blue Agave charges $13.79 for theirs. We're talking tortillas, cheese, salsa, rice, and beans. Maybe it's just me, but I find that outrageous. So unfortunately, I won't be eating there. But go for the happy hour menu: cheap margs and some pretty decent deals for small bites. read more

This restaurant opened recently so I tried it for lunch. The food was truly awful. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and greasy. The asparagus was overcooked and limp. The teriyaki salmon was tasteless and coated with a sauce that was flavorless. I will not recommend or go back for a second try. read more

My friends and I were actually on our way to grab sushi when this place caught our eye. "It's new, it looks fun. Food is always good, yeah?" So we decided to give it a shot. Lord have mercy. The food was incredible! We got the sushirita and the black and red (perhaps white) nachos. Friend loved those most, but I'm a sashimi fan so the tuna was more my vibe. That being said, the nachos were PHENOMENAL. Shrimp and lobster and corn and other stuff. But they were good sized pieces of lobster. She had the asada and I got got the seared scallops. The steak was PERFECT. It came with an enchilada, which I didn't love because I don't like them. The seared scallops were the highlight of my month. Seared perfectly. And the lobster bisque sauce they were served in was fantastic, I would drink it with a straw. Another member of our group tried the lobster mac and cheese. And they angels sang. What is more perfect comfort food than lobster and mac and cheese? Absolutely nothing. The fourth entree was the surf and turf, just as it sounds it was steak (perfect) and scallops (epitome of perfection). The margaritas were also on point. We split two desserts between us all, but I only remember the chocolate mousse. Because it's unforgettable. My only "eh" is the goat cheese mashed potatoes. I have an irrational, but passionate, hatred of goat cheese. However, I had a bite and didn't freak out. I didn't take any more bites, but "tolerable" for me in regards to goat cheese is a big deal. The service was excellent. The staff is kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. Everyone had great attitudes and were able to accurately recommend food. They're guacamole and salsa are fresh and I freaking love the blue corn enchiladas. There are a ton of options and the waiter was very helpful. I would definitely ready there again. read more

I had the stuffed rellenos and my husband had the shrimp tacos-- both were fantastic. Also indulged in the both the coconut brownie and fried cornbread desserts and enjoyed both. Came here with my wife for dinner. It drew our attention because of these star rating and the fact that it had and seafood and Mexican food. The menu immediately got our attention because they had black and white nachos. Black and white nachos have shrimp and lobster with corn and cheese. it was actually the best dish there. I had the top shelf enchiladas which one on top shelf my wife had salmon Teriyaki which in our opinion was too fishy. The top shelf enchilada have mostly shrimp and not a good ratio of lobster. It was also not rolled tight enough to hold together. We had a couple of drinks which made it cool but I would not return. Great ambiance though. read more

This was one of the greatest meals out I've had in my life, seriously. Started with the lobster and shrimp nachos which were perfect. Every nacho had the exact same amount of shrimp and toppings on them. The margarita flight was great to sample a few, we liked them all but the Presidente stood out. My wife had the tacos el fuego (not sure why they don't just call these fajitas, that's what they are). I had the lobster and shrimp enchiladas with a chipotle cream sauce. Both were so great. It's weird to think rice could stand out but I could not get enough of their cilantro rice, it was sticky like sushi rice. We were full but I'm a sucker for bread pudding and I noticed that they had Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding for $5. Like I'm not going to get a bread pudding flavored like my favorite cereal. It was the best bread pudding I've ever had. My only regret was not getting the name of our waitress as she was really attentive and super smart about menu details. read more

We had a weekday lunch here. Food and service were great but the portions were small for the hot food items. My husband had both the scallops (Only 3 scallops and some mashed potato) and chicken tacos (2 tacos with some rice and black beans) so ~$28 for his lunch dishes alone is a bit pricey for lunch. My coconut shrimp salad was filling enough for me. All the dishes tasted great just short on quantity. The scallops would benefit from some added items like veggies/tacos/pasta to make them more of a meal. read more

We had our team Christmas dinner here tonight before seeing a show, and I usually think of restaurants on 16th St Mall as tourist traps, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This place was incredible! The service was fast, our server was really helpful with the menu and pointing out their awesome happy hour($3 well drinks! YES). The food (I ordered blue agave fish tacos) was full of flavor and texture and served in large portions. I could have just eaten a bowl of their marinated tomatoes and been happy! I had the black and white nachos, which have, by far been the best nachos (or at least the top 2), that I ever had. This was great! We were looking for salmon for dinner and they had several different dishes. Our table ordered the teriyaki salmon and the blue corn enchiladas. Both were delicious. Also the atmosphere was laid back and casual. There was music playing in the background and most of the tables were full, but it wasn't loud. We were able to carry on a conversation at a normal tone. If I'm ever back in Denver, I'll then I'll definitely be back to eat here. read more

Excellent margaritas. We sat on the patio, had excellent margaritas (can't remember the names but they were top shelf). They were pricey but great. My husband had the black and white nachos, I had the vegetable enchiladas and our daughter had chicken finger tacos from the kids menu. Everything was really, really great. I went to Blue Agave for Happy Hour on Tuesday--which is an all day deal. Need I say more? But I do have more to say; the coconut shrimp tacos were incredible--sweet and savory with a kick. Honestly, so good. Great guac, too! Margs are always a win, but if you want a game changer, go for the sangria/margarita swirl. Kelly at the bar will make you smile--great service and makes you feel like you're in a hometown joint. read more
