First of all, if you like Mexican food, Margaritas, and live music, this restaurant is a Must in Downtown Denver! My family and I visited Denver for the first time, and we stayed downtown following a convention I attended. My wife is vegan and both of our children are over 21. This wonderful restaurant is right on 16th street, has a nice front patio for seating, and the interior bright, colorful, and with high ceilings felt spacious. The seating was varied with traditional height tables, tall tables, bar seating, and even some comfortable couch style seating. Our server was attentive and friendly, and made great recommendations. We even met Esteban, the owner, and had a nice conversation about the amazing food a the wonderfully creative and delicious margaritas while listening to a talented and entertaining band that played a mix of traditional Mexican music and classics. The lead guitarist was extraordinary on both electric and classic Mexican, acoustic guitars. The food and libations were impressive. First, my wife is vegan and it's often a challenge to find a restaurant that makes both good vegan and non-vegan food, 3 Margaritas nailed it. For starters we got chips (warm and crispy) with good salsa and ordered the very flavorful guacamole. I asked if they had a spicier salsa and was brought their habanero salsa, also home made and very spicy (SO GOOD). My daughter ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, which hit the spot. I tried a creative margarita and ordered the Tamacumber w/ Pueblo Viejo tequila, fresh lime, house made orange syrup, natural tamarind & cucumber over ice and rimmed with some tamarind/chili/lime salt. Perfect! The starter margaritas were refreshing and my Tamacumber was surprising flavorful, tangy, and delicious. For entrees, my wife and I ordered fajitas. She got the Veggie fajitas w/ black beans (even thought the refried beans were vegan) and it was packed with tons of well seasoned vegetables cooked to perfection. I ordered shrimp with refried beans (worth a visit just for the beans btw!) and was equally pleased with the amount of yummy shrimp, tri-colored peppers, and onions. Fajitas were accompanied by the beans, rice, more guacamole, a pico de gallo topping that included shredded cabbage as a welcomed crunchy element for the dish, and warm tortillas. My oldest daughter ordered the black bean soup, also a vegan option. It was flavorful, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, lime and more for flavor and crunch. It was served with tortilla chip strips as a topping. She loved it! My youngest daughter ordered the shrimp ceviche. The presentation was beautiful in a large bowl with a wide rim covered with sliced cucumber, oranges, and tomatoes. The large serving of ceviche itself was filled with of citrusy, well seasoned shrimp, cucumbers, onion, cilantro, tomato, carrots (a surprise, but added a great additional texture and flavor to the dish), and plenty of citrus. She said it was her favorite ceviche she's eaten. After dinner we stayed around to watch the band and have an after dinner drink. We went with the owner recommendations shown in the picture. I had the Carbón Negro, made with Mia Kasta Mezcál, anchor chili liquor, muddled blue & blackberries, rimmed w/ toasted salt. I don't usually like mezcal, but I can't wait to order this drink again! My daughter had the Mile High Guava margarita with Pueblo Viejo tequila, natural guava, orange syrup & fresh squeezed lime juice. It was another exceptional drink. We also shared another Tamacumber. This was a spectacular dining experience from start to finish. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough if you're looking for great Mexican food, creative and delicious margaritas, great local live music, or a welcoming overall dining experience. We will be back again before we leave.

What great service! We were seated right away on a very busy night. A young guy brought us chips and salsa pretty soon after and our server came and took our drink orders soon after that. He was moving so quickly and brought them over right away and took our dinner orders. I ordered the Del Mar enchiladas and my friend ordere beef chimichanga. The salsa had a kick but it was very good and the chips were nice and crispy. Our server refilled our drinks before our meals came. Great job! Our meals were hot in temperature and quite tasty. Mine was filled with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat. The sauce was sooo good. Definitely will be back again!

Thirsty . . . try one of these!

3 Margaritas - Denver, CO After a long day of work, we were looking for a place to grab a quick bite, have a couple of cold beers, and catch the NCAA Championship game. Staying in downtown Denver, there were plenty of options within walking distance, and we landed on 3 Margaritas. We arrived a bit late for a full dinner, so we kept it simple with appetizers and drinks. First off, every TV in the place was tuned to the Nuggets game--which makes sense given we're in Denver--but when we asked to switch one over to the championship game, the staff was quick to accommodate. Always appreciate that As for the food... it was just okay. The nachos were the highlight--loaded, flavorful, and definitely the best thing we had. On the flip side, the queso was a miss and not something I'd order again. The atmosphere had some energy, but the music was a bit loud, making it harder to fully relax and enjoy the game. Not terrible, but noticeable. That said, the menu looked pretty solid, and I'd be open to giving it another shot under different circumstances when we're not coming in late after a long day. Bottom line: A decent stop if you're in the area and craving Mexican food, but based on this visit alone, nothing stood out enough to make it a must-return spot. 3 stars--good, but room to improve.

On a recent trip to Denver, I dined here with friends for dinner. Great ambience and service! The tacoas are delicious and the pina colada was amazing!! Perfect location, near hotels and the convention center. Check it out !

Delicious food and excellent service and the atmosphere was great . It was a hot day, but enjoying an ice-cold beer, delicious chips, and a fantastic salsa made me love the place--perfect for a family Sunday with my sweetheart.

Enchiladas Culiacan, gigantic frozen margarita, complimentary chips and salsa.

We went to 3 Margaritas to watch a few World Cup games. The gigantic margarita was that - gigantic. Drinks and complimentary chips and salsa were perfection. The enchiladas were alright. Wish there was a bit more flavor or spice on each in addition to on the rice and beans. The atmosphere was electric once the Mexico game started and for that, 3 Margaritas gets 4 stars. Service was quick and kind. Recommend this as a first stop on a night on 16th street.

Stopped by 3 Margaritas and tried the Seafood Enchiladas -- absolutely delicious! The shrimp and crab were fresh and flavorful, the sauce creamy and rich without being heavy. The rice was perfect -- light, fluffy, and full of flavor. I was dining solo, but the staff made me feel totally welcome -- friendly, attentive, and genuine from start to finish. Great food, great service, great vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Stopped in for a snack and they have ceviche on the menu. Being from Texas, I was a little worried, but it was very good. Not traditional, but very good. They added carrots to it, threw me off for a bit, but added a nice crunchy texture. Service was just OK - sat at the bar and you typically expect better service there than at a table. Loud atmosphere, tVs behind the bar were small and hard to watch football on. Would definitely go back if I Denver and wanted Mexican food.

I liked the margaritas and ceviche. Chips and salas were good too. Service was friendly. Lots of seating inside and outside.
Cecile N.

Food, service and ambiance were good. I ate ceviche and had a large margaritas. Service was friendly and professional.

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

My friends and I tried a number of the signature cocktails and had a few hot toddys that were super good. I'm personally a big gin and soda fan and loved ther housemade tonic that was in their classic G&T. Did not try any of the food but the dawgs were definitely would be tempting if I was hungry. Loved the decor and the plants all up in the space. The space is a bit more dimly lit and I think of a reasonable volume for a date. Would love to come back and spend some more time here.

That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

Laid back vibe and welcoming staff. Nothing pretentious at all. The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Always stayed on top of my drinks. The thing I like most about Death & Co is the way the categorize their drinks: Light and playful, bright and confident, elegant and timeless, boozy and honest, and rich and comforting. I had the aqua profunda (cognac, St. George basil eau di vie, lillet rose, strawberry, lime, and absinthe). I also had the eight limb daiquiri (rum, Canada aguardiente, Thai tea cordial, lime leaf, and Maraschino). The Blood Oath (mezcal, Vecchio del capo, Calabrian chili amaro, St. Germain Elderflower, lavender, honey, lemon). All were complex and delicious. You could pick out every flavor, yet everything melded together so well. They also have some basic bar food and snacks, but somewhat elevated. I had the D&C Burger and it was juicy, rich, and had some great accompanying fries. I usually try to give a more in depth idea of cocktails available, but Death & Co has such a diverse menu with so many amazing craft cocktails that I can't offer that this time . . . you'll have to go in and see it for yourself!
