    Nice new Tex Mex spot in Avery ranch, located in the old Z'Tejas location. Love the decor - the wall mural is stunning and the bar area is colorful and lively. Service was great - our server was energetic and friendly. My friend and I ordered the vegetarian quesadillas to share along with a large guac. This was a hearty and filling meal for two people. The food was fresh and nailed the classic Tex Mex flavors. It was my birthday so they brought out a plate of delicious churros on the house for dessert! The churros were hot and delicious, and served with sweet dipping sauces (one chocolate, one caramel/goat cheese). Yum! It was tequila Tuesday when we visited so we enjoyed their house margaritas with premium tequila for only $10. Great deal!

    We visited Blue Agave on a Saturday afternoon and it did not disappoint. Everything from being seated to paying the ticket was a pleasure! Everyone had a smile on their faces and a welcoming attitude. We had the chips and salsa. Chips were like I prefer... Thin and crispy! You get a smooth salsa... One tomatillo and one roja. A little kick but delicious. My husband ordered the beef fajita tacos and the beef on his tacos were tender and flavorful. I ordered a chimichanga filled with carnitas. The carnitas were fall apart tender and juicy! We also ordered the queso with chorizo, guac and Pico. Personally I prefer white queso but it was tasty. I don't drink often and I can't finish a regular sized margarita but the bartender was nice enough to make me a mini frozen margarita. The flavor was great and it was refreshing! Will definitely be back!

    Delicious Tex-Mex food with several vegetarian options on the menu. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a modern vibe. There's a private space available for reservation with larger groups. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Service was impressively quick. The cocktail menu is pretty expansive too. I might stop by for happy hour next time.

Now, where the 3 comes in : their customer service is ATROCIOUS. We had an original coordinator, they got let go, so we got Cynthia. She is a piece of work. So rude. Not helpful. She didn't even let us know that the original person got let go OR introduce herself. It always took a lot more time than it should've to hear back from anyone about anything. In the time I booked it, to the wedding day, they had two rounds of entire staff changes, turnover, what have you. I'm a nurse, so I understand being short-staffed and always having a revolving door, so I didn't really take that "excuse" very well. Decorations…read moreand Set Up @ 2:30 pm Dinner @5pm Cake @6pm Clean up and Take Down @ 6:30 pm-7:15 pm All guests and hosts left the venue at @7:30 pm *Start to finish including setting up, take down, and clean up 5 hours* Contract Event Time: 3pm - 10pm (Rent Venue for 7 hours) Scheduled a tour and fell in love with the location, inside barn, plenty of space, AC inside the barn and completely closed so doesn't matter what the weather is the day of your event. In order to reserve the date, time, and venue rental a $600 deposit was required. The remaining balance/payment was due 5 days before our scheduled event date which was $1737.50. Complete cost we paid $2337.50. Renting the Venue - Barn, Audio System, Tables and Chairs, Tablecloths, full kitchen, 2 restrooms inside, swimming pool, outside bar area, outside smoking area, catering service, dinner clear plastic plates, clear plastic cake plates, clear plastic cups, napkins, clear plastic forks/knifes/spoons, and three clear plastic 5x7x2 to-go container. My friends and family helped take down the decorations, sweep the floors, turn off the music, turn off the lights, and pull the trash cans to the front to be taken outside. We had fewer than 40 people attend the event. A few issues I had during the event. The food was not warm at all. (close to room temperature) The drink station was to be unlimited refills, but once the plastic serving jug was empty it never was refilled. The sweet tea had a sour taste. Lemonade was very sweet. The amount of leftover food there was, and that I paid extra for catering, but was only allowed to pack up 3 small clear plastic to-go containers. I find was not reasonable. The rice wasn't fully cooked, and was not flavored/seasoned. We expected SPANISH rice, and that isn't what we were served. Thank you for allowing us to book our event at The Texas Hall Venue, but if I may be honest, I wouldn't recommend friends and family to use this venue, and I know my husband and I won't be booking any future events because of the experience.

They are flexible and adaptable and work to make everyone feel welcomed and special. This is a modest but wonderful venue.

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE…read more These people almost completely ruined our wedding with a completely nonchalant attitude. This is especially so with Autumn Marks. We had originally placed a deposit for both an outdoor wedding and reception in January 2016 for our wedding in August, and were told that we would be supplied with access to their built in PA system, as well as her assistance day of. We then discovered in March that this venue did not have our caterer on their preferred caterers list, so we requested that we pull out from the reception and just have the ceremony there. That's when the unprofessional nightmare started. She completely disappeared and for two weeks I attempted to call and email Autumn until my wife finally got in contact with her. She told us that we would be refunded the amount of everything but the cost of the ceremony, and a new contract would NOT be needed. She then put us on another hold that lasted a week so she could speak with the owner about our refund. My wife and I then had to go to the venue itself to try to speak to anybody. They were able to supply a refund, but it was only half of the agreed amount. I immediately called Autumn, who reached out to the owner. The owner then came out not knowing we were the people receiving the refund and rudely commented on how we were taking his money as he signed a new check. He then handed it to the accountant who handed it directly to us making him realize who we were. In most cases, this would embarrass someone, but not for this pompous so and so. This angered him and he walked right past us and slammed the door. Fast forward to the two nights before the wedding, in which we were told we could hold a rehearsal. We get to the venue, and the building is completely empty. We stood outside for an hour as I was frantically calling Autumn. She finally called me back and informed me of the following: - Since we pulled out of the reception, we would not have access to their PA system - She would also not be assisting us day of, but would be available to assist for an extra $400 - All that our money was going towards were the space for one hour and their "help" in setting up the chairs In shock, I asked her where was this information reflected, as we did not sign a new contract. She dodged the issue and pretty much said "Good luck on your own." This was quite a bomb to drop two days before the wedding, but the hits didn't stop there. The next day- the day before our wedding- I called to confirm what Autumn had said, and came to find out she had double booked our event. Our wedding was at 2 PM, and she had put us down at 5 PM while a golf tournament lunch was being held at our time. I was then told that the outdoor venue should be available at 2 PM, but from the beginning we were told an indoor venue would be available in case of rain, and since it had been raining all week, we were concerned. My wife and I immediately headed back to the venue, in which the head of services and the owner met us to tell us that: - "You don't know it's going to rain tomorrow" - "You can rent tents for your guests on your own dollar" - "You can use our sister venue" We were never told of a sister venue until that very moment- the day before our wedding- and found that it was much more equipped for a wedding. We then had to reach out to all 100 of our guests and inform them of the venue change- the day before our wedding. Do not do business here.

This is a terrific venue for any type of celebration. We had our daughters Sweet 16. It had everything we were looking for: great location, reasonably priced, beautiful view, room & restrooms are in pristine condition, management & staff are accommodating & attentive. Autumn Marks, who is the Tournament/Wedding & Events Sales Director for Avery Ranch Golf Club was a pleasure to work with. She was in constant contact with me and was very helpful from the months leading to the celebration till the very end. Autumn was kind enough as to give me more than a couple of tours of the property & provided great suggestions for decoration ideas, table/chair arrangements & dance floor placements that would work best for whatever table setup we chose. Day of our daughters Sweet 16 celebration everything was great. As mentioned before...management & staff were very accommodating & attentive all night. I did want to send a huge amount of gratitude to Luke Marks for going above and beyond to help accommodate the "technical" problem our DJ was having. While our DJ seemed to be clueless for 2 straight hours on how to exactly repair the sound problem he was having, Luke was making ever attempt possible to help figure out any & every possible way to have this problem situated. Only small problem with the dinner we chose wasn't prepared the way it was prepared when we sampled it. But the guests seemed to enjoy the dinner & that's was fine by me. I love this venue...it is absolutely beautiful & I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks again Autumn & Luke
