I'm happy to increase my stars for this restaurant. My partner wanted to check them out, so we we popped in for lunch. The service was top notch! The beef and cheese crunchy tacos were very good. The beef was seasoned very nicely and they provided a generous amount of cheese as requested. The taco salad with grilled chicken was OK. The chicken was seasoned and cut nice and thin. It was very enjoyable. That said, the salad was generic. It clearly came out of a bag and was wet. Also, it was served on a plate instead of a taco bowl as advertised. Finally, the Leander margarita was still as fabulous as it was at my last visit.

This is our go to dinner spot! No matter how packed the parking lot is, being seated at a table is always immediate. The staff has been running this restaurant forever & are complete pros. We don't need menus & the servers know our names, order, & substitutions. Jardin's is our home away from home. Thank you for always being a strong staple in our diet!

Oh Jardin Del Rey. My once go to spot has disappointed me and the family. My Mexican Martini was not up to par, very watered down. The food has lost its authenticity. The chips are still served warm. The staff is amazing. Prices have increased, but the quality has decreased. Atmosphere has remained the same. I really tried to give it one more try since my last two visits were sub par. Leander has grown and too many other choices.

Outside, you can almost drive right by it, covered with trees. Love This Place

Our 4th time visiting Jardin and it was fabulous. The ambiance was perfect, felt like I was in somebody's home, waiter was very attentive on refilling our chips and salsa and he was very friendly. Perfect tejano music playing over the speakers just adding to the vibes, it's that kind of music that you hear and it makes you crave Mexican food. Perfection. The chips were freshly fried and crisp and the salsa was just perfect, a little sweet, a little spicy, just right to keep you coming back for more. The tostada con queso, and fajita nachos were just classic and the fajita beef, enchilada, taco and beans and rice, just what the doctor ordered. There is no way I wouldn't give this place a 5 star review and come back every single time I am in the area, regardless of what other restaurants are in the area. A+ all around guys! Great work!!! Keep it up, I know you will!

Not sure why the bad reviews but I honestly loved this place. I love real Tex-mex, and this is it. This isn't your fancy Mexican food. Love the queso, i like the milder salsa, loved the chips. My dinner came out hot and crispy. Server was super attentive and always had drinks filled and fast delivery of food. Very nice guy too. Feels like you are visiting someone at their house, cozy little place. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. I would say it needs to be cleaned (ac vents) a little but over all love this place. Will be back!

When we lived in Leander 10+ years ago, this was our favorite Mexican restaurant. We were in town visiting friends and decided to check it out to see if the food tastes the same. We're so glad we did because it did not disappoint. The outside and interior don't look like much but the food is what matters. My hubby even recognized a server still working there after all these years. We received our complimentary chips and salsa and ordered queso + house margaritas to go along. Salsa had a good kick to it (as I remembered) and the queso was smooth & creamy. House margaritas were potent. Lol. I ordered my go-to sour cream chicken enchiladas with rice and refried beans and hubby ordered carne asada. The food came out fast and was seasoned to perfection. We sat there for a while caught up in nostalgia. So glad this place is still around and pumping out great food. We'll definitely make plans to return whenever we're in the Austin area.

Oh my goodness...one more update...I ordered 40 breakfast tacos for a party, and they were PERFECT. Exactly what I ordered, labeled in separate bags. AND they threw in chips and salsa, salt & pepper, napkins...and even offered me coffee while waiting to pick up!!! (Although it was ready right on time)... It's just so refreshing to have good service these days...and amazing food! I'm grateful.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Observations: 1. Service was "meh". The waiter was not knowledgeable about the cooking method of the Al pastor meat. We were told that it was cooked "en trompo" (on a vertical spit). And it clearly was not. Also, no trace of pineapple or pineapple flavor present. No one followed up to see if our meal was ok, or if we needed more drinks. 2. Seasoning/quality. I think it's really hard to mess up ground beef tacos. They looked beautiful on the plate, but there was little to no seasoning, and the meat was dry & tasteless. Very disappointing. 3. Salsa. Definitely for those who want a mild/no spicy temp on their salsa. We were told they have good margaritas, but I can't comment on that since I didn't imbibe. 4. Prices were a bit high. Overall just it's sub par. Many better options in the city. Access in and out from the road is difficult.

Also nice settings of comfy chairs along the wall The bad part is the tv was soo loud you could hardly make a conversation. I do understand that is was the World Cup and a game on but it's more about seeing the game than be able listen to it from across the street. Also the cocktails were pretty pricey compared to the area. The ugly part was that there was for the volume of people only ONE bartender and NO waitress/waiter at all. What seems an ongoing issue according to other reviews. We had to stand in line like a checkout in a grocery store to order our drinks and later again to pay our bill. The line was fairly long and with only one bartender it was ridiculous. And looking at our bill we saw they charged a fee for using a credit card. For this time and age where plastic is king that should not happen especially with these cocktail prices. The bar could be such a nice place if they would had a second bartender for that night and if they would hire waiters/ waitresses to make it a more friendly atmosphere. I might give it another try to see if there is an improvement but pay with cash to avoid the fee.

I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. I have consumed the good, the bad, and the distinctly "tastes like floor cleaner and bad decisions." So when I say a well margarita blew me away, please understand the weight of that statement. Usually, a well marg is something you order when you've decided quality is optional and saving five bucks is mandatory. Not here. Enter Manny. Manny isn't just bartending; he's running a high-level liquid chemistry lab behind that bar. This house recipe of his defies every known law of budget tequila. Whatever magic ratio he's using, it completely skips the usual sour-mix heartburn and goes straight to refreshing, perfectly balanced perfection. Smooth, freshly squeezed taste, and just enough kick to make you realize you're definitely calling an Uber. If you come here, sit at the bar and ask for Manny's house margarita. Hands down the best well drink in the city. Just leave a solid tip, because the man is out here doing public service work.

It's definitely a neighborhood bar, but with a slightly elevated vibe that makes you feel like you stumbled into the nice version of a local hangout, not the sticky‑floor kind. I ordered three rounds of Hendrick's and tonic, and my partner went with four rounds of Tito's and Sprite. When the bill came out to $140, I had to take a quiet moment with myself. Yes, Hendrick's is top shelf, but even with that in mind... whew. That total felt a little ambitious for a neighborhood bar in Cedar Park. I'm all for a good cocktail, but I also know what these pours cost elsewhere, and this pricing didn't quite match the setting. That said, the service was excellent. Our bartender was attentive, quick, and had that perfect balance of friendly without being overly chatty. She kept an eye on the bar, and we never had to wait long for a refill -- which I appreciated, especially since the place wasn't packed. Honestly, the smooth service was the highlight of the night. The vibe itself is cool -- a little eclectic, a little upscale, and clearly a favorite for the local crowd. It's the kind of place you go when you want to unwind without dealing with the Domain crowd or the chaos of downtown Austin. I can absolutely see why people love it. But between the drink prices and the overall experience, this is one of those spots I'd visit occasionally, not regularly. A cute neighborhood bar? Yes. A $140‑for‑seven‑drinks bar? Not for me.
