This has become my go to diner. It is consistent and good. Prices are fair and the parking is ample. Such a nice place to eat. It has now become a five star place for me.

Blue Angel Diner in Plainview NY, makes food fresh. I had a Reuben sandwich and the cornbeef lean was spiced perfectly as was the rye toast. Odin was the cook this day. Everything tasted great including the side order of carmalized onions to add to the fresh made home fries. I also had a really nice piece of 7 layer cake as they had sold out of the strawberry short cake. The place is clean and has a good selection of specials that vary. Plenty of seating and parking available.

Excellent food and service in the fine tradition of the great Long Island diner. Eggs Benedict to die for with the best diner home fries you can imagine. Enormous onion rings, properly cooked burgers, all in a clean well lit environment with experienced cheerful staff. We had a party of twelve, they had us seated effortlessly in minutes at the height of a Sunday lunch rush. Blue Angel, highly recommended. Burger Deluxe

Good food and great service, also there are plenty of tables or diner booth to choose, and a lot of specials like a lot. For example from 7 am to 11 am there are breakfast specials and then from 11 am to 3 pm there are lunch specials and finally if you guess it, there are dinner specials that comes with soup or salad, potato and vegetable and a dessert. Uber eats is also available.

Many of the diners in Plainview have closed over the years, but Blue Angel has stood the test of time. The food is classic diner fare with an extensive menu. I got the chicken salad platter, which was a massive portion of chicken salad, cole slaw, potato salad, and some veggies. It was all really tasty! My dad got the unpictured turkey dinner which he said was the best diner turkey dinner he's had in a long while. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is old school diner - so lots of plates moving quickly and locals meeting up to connect. We love Blue Angel and will definitely be back again.

Needed a bit to eat and it was early, had. A meeting to set up for and I picked this spot. It was super small but the food was delicious. Customer service is so welcoming. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Good, clean diner. I enjoy the French onion soup and the tuna melt when I get food from this diner.

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

Also I substituted truffle fries and they were way too salty. The overall restaurant was nice, but I wouldn't get the French dip.

They asked for drink orders and we were left alone for a long time until the drinks arrived. Though we were ready to order, the server just dropped off our drinks and went to bring another table upstairs. I went down to the counter to get someone to take our order, and it took nearly an hour before our order was in (and even then, they took the order of the second table before taking our party's order). It was almost an hour and a half since we entered the restaurant when the food finally arrived at our table, and then it took so long for someone to come with our check and process payment, we went down to the counter to do it. During this time, another family was seated upstairs and left due to not being attended to. This caused big delays in our day and I had to cancel an appointment because we spent over two hours at this restaurant when we didn't want to. That said, food was good. I got the lemon blueberry pancake, which was a little bit gummy but mostly tasted fine. My brother got the mangu, which is kinda hard to find around here, let alone on the menu of a breakfast brunch restaurant. It was my brother's first time having it, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides him choosing scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, it was very classic mangu breakfast. The real crabmeat omelet was another hit-- crabmeat was so real there were little pieces of shell lining-- really ambitious and deliciously executed. The menu is really fun and the food was overall good. Again, I think the very slow service wasn't on purpose and it's because they didn't anticipate such a large crowd on a Friday, but I would say run if they try to seat you upstairs and you're the only ones up there. Be prepared to wait for a long time if you want the reward of nice food.
