This review is for Happy Hour ONLY. Went for lHH drinks and food. Mixed drinks are about $5.50 but no deals on beer. There are about 5 or 6 HH food items that are "pick any 2" for $18. We chose the chicken tacos and beef nachos. Portions were nice but the food was a bit bland, lacking any flavor punch. It was just food like you'd get in Anywhere USA. Service was great. I've eaten here a few times for lunch and dinner. There's a tour we typically take each time in Cozumel and this is the meet up stop. We usually get to Blue Angel early and have a drink and snack before the tour. I'm a big fan of their Bloody marys and Ojo Rojos, as is my husband. On our latest trip I ordered the Blue Angel shrimp salad It was very fresh and tasted delicious. They also brought us out chips and a wide array of sauces to try. On our precious trip in January 2020 we came here for dinner and I ordered Alfredo with lobster. It was so good! If you're looking for a nice, relaxed spot on the water to eat, I recommend checking them out. read more

This was our first stop when arriving in Cozumel. My boyfriend parents who are locals insisted we come here first. The view here is beautiful. And the service was good. Everyone was very nice. We got guacamole (which came with chips and salsa) to start with. It was good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. For our meal, well, for my meal at least. I got the mixed ceviche. Which, isn't on the menu, but they made it for us. It was basically the two ceviches that WERE on the menu (the fish and the shrimp), mixed. It was great! I honestly don't remember if we got the small or large, unfortunately, because I didn't order it (since I don't speak Spanish). But it was a perfect amount! Ok. This review is painful to leave. We usually love coming here for the awesome atmosphere and decent food, and sometimes live music! All was good until we received the bill and there were some discrepancies- we were over charged for the lobster and they charged us for guacamole (which we never received). Apparently, the waiter "forgot" to tell us it's market price, and not priced as on the menu. They just handed us our bills and expected us to pay. They were sneaky about this. I let a lot of things slide (like the waiter dipping into my mixed drink a couple of times with the same spoon right out of the blender). He looked at me like he knew he was caught....anyway.... Secondly, that guacamole we never received- when you ask for chips and salsa, they charge you. That hasn't happened at all in Cozumel, at all. We were even at the Blue Angel a couple of nights ago and weren't charged. I suspect it was them being a**hats and trying to stick it to us because we called them out on their price change for the lobster (went from 400 to 700 pesos). Anyway, we will never be back here, nor will we recommend it to anyone. There are much better choices out there! Best dinner in a long time. Mahi mahi French style. This is worth a short walk in the afternoon. Great sunset view with moveable fans that are a must, they don't mind you moving the fans as long as no one is using it. With the sunset view comes the sun. We are staying here at Blue Angel and one perk is breakfast is included. One might think that gives them the opportunity to slack off since it's free for guests. Great breakfast! Usually have to wait for our juice to be squeezed in the morning! It's that fresh! The yolks of the eggs are bright yellow. Very fresh eggs. Don't waste your time. There are much better restaurants in town. This place had terrible service - so slow - the person who appeared to be the owner or manager of the hotel came in and interrupted all service with their order...food came out and was super lackluster considering the prices you're paying compared to those around town. Thought we were enjoy happy hour. Were seated and ordered drinks. When asked about food, said after our first drink. Came back to ask if we were ready and we said we would need menus. What a terrible breakfast experience. My wife and I both got the basic a scrambled eggs sausage or bacon etc. do you think that for $10 it would be pretty good. It was very small portions and very mediocre. My daughter got the eggs Benedict. I was done with my eggs before she ever received her breakfast. They were also mediocre in taste, but were well portioned. If you're in a hurry and don't want to spend too much for too littlle, do not come here! Lastly, we had to ask for someone to take our drink orders and we did 15 to 20 minutes for very simple dishes while the cook and wait staff took breakfast to the owners who live next-door. Most amazing veggie burrito of my life!!! I'm vegan and that's what attracted me to this restaurant. They also had a veggie soup with tofu that my mom got and she loved it. Blue Angel is a restaurant and hotel. At the restaurant, the food is good and the view is spectacular. Accommodations are great, though beds a bit hard. The staff is very attentive, and the dive guides are experts with gear, locale and safety. The massages are to die for! read more

Very nice waterfront restaurant just south of town. They pour their drinks strong but with quality liquor- so be careful. We had a fajita type of dish for 2- it was recommended by the waiter and it was very good. I would have liked my food just a bit hotter- but I love my food smoking hot. read more

Nice restaurant with perfect views. One of the perks of staying at the hotel is that breakfast is included. The food is outstanding and they even have a "Diver's Special" which is perfect before heading out on a boat dive with the dive shop on the floor below the restaurant. read more
