This was my first time driving through Blue Baker. I am not from this area so I did not know if I could order in the line or not since it was labeled Online pick ups. So, I simply asked at the window 'hey would it be okay if I ordered here or should I just make an online order'. I would have been fine with either but the worker sheepishly smiled and said 'yea sure go ahead' then once I started saying my order she gave me condescending looks as I was saying my salad order. I work for Texas A&M University and we have often used Blue Baker for lunch caterings during meetings. However, we will no longer be using them after our last experience. It was a rather large order of sandwich trays and a salad. They were 30 minutes late arriving with our order and then half of it was missing when they did arrive. The delivery person went to retrieve the missing items. That pushed lunch to over an hour late by the time it arrived. My coworker contacted a manager at the time, and did not receive any sort of explanation other than "well they have other deliveries to be made too." That is not an acceptable excuse when you are in the business of catering and we have a scheduled time for delivery. She was not offered any kind of explanation for the missing items from our order. I also contacted a manager about the problem. I was told that they would talk with the manager on duty to see what caused the issues and get back with me with how they could make it right. After a week, I still had not heard back from anyone so I called again. I was again told the same thing. At this point, no thank you! If large catering orders and return business don't matter any more than that, then I guess Blue Baker must not need our business any longer. This was not the first order we have had issues with. This was just one of the worst and was the final straw! Complete lack of customer service! I would give them a negative star review if that was an option. read more

This place was a hot mess, and I was reminded today why we don't go there. There is zero signage, so ordering was confusing. When ordering kid's meals, we were told to pick any side with the meal, but there was not a list of options. After asking, she pointed us to a refridgerated section and told us to pick a drink and a side. The only option was one fruit cup and apple sauce pouches. My son picked out his drink but that was not covered as a kid option... again, not clear at all. A certain brownie was advertised, and we paid for it. Then, they didn't have any -- even though we paid for it. Why didn't they tell us initially? Finally, we thought the food would be brought to us, or maybe just a little help. However, we were told when our hands were very full that we had to take it to our table. (Close your eyes and imagine a mom with two little kids, drinks and meals...). To top it off, in the women's restroom, the water from the sink was scorching and nearly burned the little girl that was in front of my daughter. This was brought to the manager's attention and the excuse was "water gets hotter when it gets used a lot." Good news is that the food was tasty. However, we won't be returning. I love Blue Baker as the food is so yummy, but also feels fresh compared to most fast food places & restaurants with similar food styles. I've never had bad service here although I'm kind of sad that they aren't doing breakfast anymore right now because getting one of the bagels & cream cheese was one of my favorites. They are more known for their good sandwiches & pizza & cookies anyways & they have many great options! The South College Station is my favorite location as I love how they have lots of booths to pick from & that all the booths have chargers, which is perfect for studying! I was in town visiting my friend for the weekend and she took me here for lunch. It's really cute inside and I love that the booths are really tall so you feel like you get your own private space. There were people meeting friends there and others working on their computers so it seems like a good place to do both. My friend ordered the club bleu sandwich, lobster bisque, and a caramel iced coffee. I got the margherita pizza on cauliflower crust. The pizza was really good and the crust was really thin and crunchy, which I love. I would't recommend the tart as I was expecting the crust to be crisper and not as spongy as it was. The flavors were decent, and the fresh fruits adds good flavor, but I couldn't get over the consistency of the crust. If you're looking to get dessert to accompany your pizza, would recommend their cookies or sweet breads over their tarts. There is outdoor seating available as well as a playground! Definitely worth the price and the new online ordering helps satisfy pizza cravings in a timely manner. I love Blue Baker's bread bowls because their sourdough is chewy and delicious. I also love their roasted veggie sandwich because the herbs and goat cheese really make it all come together in amazing savory deliciousness. Even if it is a tad pricey for the size of the sandwich. I was extremely sad today when I took a much anticipated bite out of my sandwich only to find that the goat cheese seemed to have been replaced by mozzarella or provolone...some kind of melty stretchy cheese instead keep the salty creamy goat cheese I was expecting.
