Kids wanted to eat here because of outdoor play area. Cashier didn't tell us to get your own fruit cup as you go thru the line so the guy who brought out our food was nice enough to get it. I work for Texas A&M University and we have often used Blue Baker for lunch caterings during meetings. However, we will no longer be using them after our last experience. It was a rather large order of sandwich trays and a salad. They were 30 minutes late arriving with our order and then half of it was missing when they did arrive. The delivery person went to retrieve the missing items. That pushed lunch to over an hour late by the time it arrived. My coworker contacted a manager at the time, and did not receive any sort of explanation other than "well they have other deliveries to be made too." That is not an acceptable excuse when you are in the business of catering and we have a scheduled time for delivery. She was not offered any kind of explanation for the missing items from our order. I also contacted a manager about the problem. I was told that they would talk with the manager on duty to see what caused the issues and get back with me with how they could make it right. After a week, I still had not heard back from anyone so I called again. I was again told the same thing. At this point, no thank you! If large catering orders and return business don't matter any more than that, then I guess Blue Baker must not need our business any longer. This was not the first order we have had issues with. This was just one of the worst and was the final straw! Complete lack of customer service! I would give them a negative star review if that was an option. read more

However, blue baker needs to put in a little extra effort for customer service as demonstrated by this circumstance. I had a coupon code for a free loaf of bread that expired the day prior. Most businesses of integrity would redeem it regardless but blue baker would not as that was the managers decision. She said the coupon code wouldn't work but there should be a way around it if a mansger chooses. If there's not a way around it, that should be something that changes so that a local business can be proven to have great customer service. I hope blue baker is known for that in the future. I've never had bad service here although I'm kind of sad that they aren't doing breakfast anymore right now because getting one of the bagels & cream cheese was one of my favorites. This place was a hot mess, and I was reminded today why we don't go there. There is zero signage, so ordering was confusing. When ordering kid's meals, we were told to pick any side with the meal, but there was not a list of options. After asking, she pointed us to a refridgerated section and told us to pick a drink and a side. The only option was one fruit cup and apple sauce pouches. My son picked out his drink but that was not covered as a kid option... again, not clear at all. A certain brownie was advertised, and we paid for it. Then, they didn't have any -- even though we paid for it. Why didn't they tell us initially? Finally, we thought the food would be brought to us, or maybe just a little help. However, we were told when our hands were very full that we had to take it to our table. (Close your eyes and imagine a mom with two little kids, drinks and meals...). To top it off, in the women's restroom, the water from the sink was scorching and nearly burned the little girl that was in front of my daughter. This was brought to the manager's attention and the excuse was "water gets hotter when it gets used a lot." Good news is that the food was tasty. However, we won't be returning. I would't recommend the tart as I was expecting the crust to be crisper and not as spongy as it was. The flavors were decent, and the fresh fruits adds good flavor, but I couldn't get over the consistency of the crust. If you're looking to get dessert to accompany your pizza, would recommend their cookies or sweet breads over their tarts. There is outdoor seating available as well as a playground! Definitely worth the price and the new online ordering helps satisfy pizza cravings in a timely manner.
