Blue baker is locally owned and a step above every other deli/bakery in town. They are masters of pastry and breads. The staff is friendly and helpful. I almost always get fast service and the staff is great about consistency in giving you what you ordered. At the Mills Park location, you can order food in advance and pick it up at a drive through window! They also have a nice playground for small children. read more

I grew up in the country and my grandmother used to make homemade bread (we NEVER had store bought) and Blue Baker's Country White reminds me of when I was a kid and the times my grandmother and I spent in the kitchen baking! My son loves their pizza crust and will pick Blue Baker's pizza over some of the national chain pizza. The only reason that I did not give them five stars is because they changed their store hours and it has made it impossible to go there during the week. The online ordering system is archaic. It is difficult to modify entree orders and you cannot add the drink/cookie combo.

Kind of pricey but tasty food. My favorite is the tuna sandwich. I add capers and black olives to it and that makes it extra yummy.

Recently had a Cauliflower Pizza here that was quite impressive! I was expecting a soggy crust, tasting just ok. To my surprise it was the complete opposite. This is by far the best cafe in town, much better food and prices than Panera. The Neapolitan pizza or the apple walnut chicken salad are my go-to's. This is my go-to place for lunch for their Neapolitan pizza - fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil - cannot be beat! Desserts are wonderful too - especially their chocolate chip walnut cookies and fudge brownies. And, I almost always have to bring home a fresh loaf of bread -- even the day-old bread is wonderful! Lots of seating and cozy booths make it a great place to hang out with a friend and get caught up without worrying about how noisy it might get. Love this place! read more

I was so excited when plans to build a Blue Baker in South College Station were announced! I am a huge fan of the other 2 CS locations! We made our first visit to the new location on Sunday after church. As expected when any new restaurant opens, the staff is still trying to get in to a good rhythm so the line moved pretty slowly, but I assume this will improve over time. Even though the line did not move quickly, the food was still up to their normal wonderful standards. I highly recommend their pizzas and I'm also a huge fan of their chicken salad sandwiches. I am excited to have a great breakfast option in South CS. They open at 6am which is perfect for grabbing a quick pastry before heading to work. I am a bit disappointed at the size of the restaurant. It seems pretty small and it is difficult to move down the aisles because they are so narrow. The playground however, is fantastic! There are so few options in town of restaurants with play areas so this is a huge plus for me as a parent. We will be frequenting this location for sure! read more

Wow, I think we found all of the young families in College Station here! There were kids everywhere. So nice to have an outdoor space they can run around! We walked in around 12:30 on a weekday. The parking lot was PACKED. There was no line, though, and plenty of employees were ready to take our order. Hard to see the wall mounted menu from the line, so we were glad that they had copies to grab as we walked in. The format here is a little different from the other locations, from what I remember. As others have noted, what happened to any combinations? Would be great to see some sort of sandwich + cookie/chips and/or drink to help keep prices down, or at least a lunch special. One sandwich, one pizza, one drink and two cookies came out to $22. My sandwich, the powder blue, was tasty. The size was just right, and there was plenty of turkey. I did ask for an additional side of mayo as the sandwich was on the dry side, but mayo is an offensive ingredient to some so probably best not to overdo it. The bread was so fresh, I could have just eaten that alone! My husband enjoyed his four meat pizza. I won't lie, it looked way better than my meal! It was pretty greasy, but seeing as he finished the entire thing, I don't think he minded. The size was quite large for a personal pizza, but probably not large enough to split. The fresh shaved Parmesan on top was a nice touch. It took a while to get our food, no doubt because of the pizza, but not unreasonably so. Both the chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies were on point. I intended to save half for later, since they are large, but I couldn't stop myself. We love Blue Baker because I can get a healthy sandwich and my husband can get a pizza. It's a win win when we cannot seem to agree on a restaurant. But our family ate here yesterday (2/19) around 2:30 and the place the place was a disaster, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt... but there were maybe 5 people eating and 2 clean tables. It was dead. We were there for over an hour and not a single employee cleaned the dining area. If the employees were busy and running around I would of understood but they were in in the back messing around not doing much. I noticed trash on the floors and plates on almost every table. The bathroom had trash over flowing and a wet floor. I ordered the neo pizza and my husband had the 4 meat pizza both were amazing but please work on keeping your restaurant clean. This store is a rip off. They do not know how to make the food like the other stores in town. I got a Club sandwich with little to no meat. My wife got a Chicken salad with four small pieces of chicken. When I questioned the manager on this he got rude and said look I am busy so let's just cut to the chase, you want a refund right. Keep in mind he did not offer to make the food right. I will not be back. I hope you have a better experience but I would look at your food before you pay.
