This is not about the food as I have said in my previous review how great it is. This is more of a surprised the way they treat customers.and so others don't deal with the same. I called at exactly 730 for a delivery they close at 8. When I asked the lady on the phone was really hesitant. Then after a few well uhm I guess, she says for future references call before 730 because we close at 8. Just this once we will fire the grill back up for you. Wait so your saying you close the grill before 730 when you close at 8? What about walk Ins? Don't act like you're doing me any favors lady. I'm doing you a favor by choosing to spend my hard earned money here and not one of the 3000 other places norwalk has to eat. Just very rude and shows you don't value your repeat customers at all. If your gonna offer delivery don't half ass it and if you are make it clear on your website that you only take them up to an hour before closing. read more

Another Amazing Meal from Blue Cactus Today it was a Salad Day Soooooooo Good. Everything was Ultra Fresh and Top Notch ingredients. Plus I put a side of the Verde Salsa on top of the salad which took it to that Next, Next Level! They Understood the Assignment....... Only eating meat is a challenge for most places and I'm in town for work so I went to Blue Cactus today with others who suggested the location. Small hole in wall. Where I'm from that usually means better food and care cooked in. Yup that showed. Asked for 2 burger Patties and nothing else cooked medium rare. Was told their burgers were 1/2 pound. Score. Paid more for less at a sit down the previous day and these were wayyyyyyy better. Amazed they came out medium rare. Most places will not give you medium rare burgers. Only downside for me was paying full price for 2 burgers but that's the life I live with the way I eat. Excellent. I sat with others who had sweet potato fries that looked like they were freshly made from actual sweet potatoes and I'm told we're delicious. I am downgrading my review for Blue Cactus because of my recent experiences here. We ordered for delivery a few times, and found that the food was sub par when it eventually arrived late. I went for lunch and had the Doritoes special, and found it was lacking flavor. I imagine their star is the cheesesteak sandwiches, which I always found great. W O W! I found this gem after searching "best sandwiches in CT" on google. It's definitely a great sandwich!! I decided to get their traditional cheesesteak and I think it's on par with one of the best cheesesteaks I had in philly! That says a lot because who would've thought that CT had AMAZING cheesesteaks?? My whole meal was 11.95, which I think is a little overpriced, but I'd totally get it again. Last night, bf and I were drooling over burger YouTube videos, so we searched for some local burger joints and found this place. We didn't want to go to our usual five guys joint. I'm glad that we waited till today to satisfy our burger cravings. ORDER -Hilltop classic burger: thick patty on a brioche bun with lettuce tomato and cheese. Despite the cost, it is really filling and can be equivalent to five guys burgers, so totally worth it. It's a bit messy to eat because of the thousand Island dressing but delicious nonetheless. I would eat it right after it's made instead of taking it out to-go bc it may get soggy by the time you get home. -Veggie lover'a "cheesesteak": hefty in weight and packed full of mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, avocado, and a pesto smear. Could use more toasting on the bread. -Waffle fries: big slices and crispy. Super delish! -Coleslaw: comes as a side on all the entrees. Not really acidic on its own. Add some housemade hot sauce or salsa verde and it brings it to the next level. Next time we come here bfwants to try out the cheesesteaks and I want to try out their homemade chips. Service is great. Will definitely make it into our weekly rotation. Since it's located up hill from the hospital in a residential area, there aren't many parking spots. read more

Stopped in Norwalk today for a mundane errand but was wildly surprised by the delicious sandwich I got at the blue cactus. Everyone was very nice inside and it smelled amazing. My chicken salad BLT was a seriously delicious sandwich. I have been ordering from here and it is just so good. I love their southwest style salad and the sandwiches are good. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the patty melt because it was too thick and more like a burger but the taste was very good. I wish they had more desserts. This place is a hidden gem in Norwalk that I would never have known of if it were not recommended to me. Located right up the street from Norwalk hospital. Not much seating on the inside but we were lucky enough to get a table. The service is warm and friendly, and the Hilltop cheeseburger was perfectly cooked and delicious, probably one of the best I've had since moving to the area.
