I needed to get my windshield replaced and my first choice is Blue Chip Auto Glass. They are always professional, courteous, and will work with you to make appointments that work with your schedule. They loop in your insurance company to get authorization for the replacement. Their office calls the day before with a reminder and their techs always call about 30 mins before to let you know their arrival time (within in the appointment window). About 3 weeks after they did the initial install, the aftermarket molding decided to start coming out around the top corners of the glass. Living like 10 blocks away, I stopped by and the owner, Kelly walked out to look at it. Took him two seconds to say "that's not right, let's go inside and schedule a re-do." A few days later, they came out and replaced it with a different style of molding and so far so good! Customer service here is excellent, and the people have integrity, which is rare these days. Recently had my windshield replaced by Blue Chip Auto Glass. Kelly and the team were absolutely amazing. I called 4 other places for quotes and Kelly was the only one that asked if my vehicle had security features like lane departure warning. Turns out my vehicle does have lane departure warning and it's very important to have the camera calibrated after the glass is installed. I can't imagine the headaches I might have had, had I gone to another company. Also, I called Kelly on a Tuesday and really wanted to have the glass replaced by Thursday. Found Blue Chip through Yelp. Requested a quote for car window tinting and had a response from Kelly within 30 minutes! He provided me a couple of options and gave me enough detail for me to make a decision. Called him later that day to schedule an appointment and was able to get in the very next day! Kelly was very courteous and professional. He gave me a ride home to wait while they completed the tinting and then sent a Lyft driver to pick me up and bring me to the shop when my car was all done. It looks fantastic and is such a high quality tinting product! Originally I had planned to have the windshield tinted too but Kelly recommended I wait until it's time to replace the windshield as my original one has quite a bit of pitting so he felt it would just be wasted money. After using a competing auto glass merchant for many, many years they inexplicably became "unavailable" when I recently needed a windshield replacement. At least that's what my insurance company told me. So I came to Yelp and found Blue Chip Auto Glass with nothing but outstanding 5 star reviews. Naturally choosing them became a no-brainer. At first I was disappointed they couldn't scheduled me for almost a week. But at least I was immediately informed, I don't mind delays so long as they are communicated up-front. On the day of my appointment I received a call informing me they were on their way about 15 minutes prior to my scheduled time which is always a good start. Soon a tech named Freddy arrived who was congenial, polite and professional, another good sign. The work was performed in my garage and took about an hour or so while I watched. Freddy explained the entire process to me while he replaced the glass. He soon pointed out a distressing shortcoming after taking out the windshield installed by the previously company. While removing the rubberized adhesive seal below the old windshield they inadvertently scratched the paint (about 12" long at varying intervals) with their removal blade. This is unnoticeable with the glass in place and impossible to see until the windshield is removed. That said, left untreated and exposed to significant rain or moisture rust will form and can spread over time. Initially the rust might only erode the paint nearest the scratch but eventually it will extend to surrounding areas potentially affecting the sheet-metal and possibly the body structure. If you've ever lived in the "rust belt" or anywhere back east you know what this means. Luckily my damage consisted of only slight surface rust and didn't extend beyond the original scratch. Sometimes it's good to live in Arizona where there is far too little rain... To be fair, this type of damage is difficult to avoid when replacing windshields but a crucial treatment step was overlooked by my "trusted" previous glass company. In hindsight I recall their level of quality, workmanship and customer service had been declining the last several years. Luckily Freddy was able to buff out the rust in short order. He followed this up by cleaning and applying a special black primer over the affected area which should prevent any potential rusting. I was impressed with the knowledge spent to remedy the problem and Freddy's diligence in repairing it. The level of experience, quality of work and professionalism was very evident and for that I am grateful. Kelly at the office also did most of the legwork with the insurance company only involving me when necessary. I would more than be happily call on them again in the future and highly recommend them as well. read more

I called, Kelly answered, he walked me through the insurance process to make sure my glass was replaced and not just repaired. He called me several times during the day to update me when my technician would be arriving. Technician was polite and very good at his job, including explaining not only what to do for the 24 hours following replacement, but why to do it, which is really helpful when it comes to ensuring I actually follow the instructions! The quality of glass he installed was a thousand times better than the glass Safelite put in for me last month when I had a prior encounter with a rock on the freeway between Flag and Phoenix. It's crisp, clear, and most noticeable and appreciated is the total ABSENCE of wind noise that I had been suffering through with the previous replacement. I am very happy that the AAA-recommended company didn't bother to call me back after I left them two voice messages, causing me to come onto Yelp to search for a company on my own. So I didn't get movie tickets, or a rebate check, or whatever else the other companies are giving away. Like I consider being struck by a rock on the freeway as a money-making activity? I had some dents in my windshield and it was recommended that I get it replaced. After doing some research online, I decided to go with Blue Chip as they had very good reviews. I emailed them to set up an appointment and Kelly was very quick to respond to all my emails and answered all my questions. They were able to work around my schedule and promptly scheduled an appointment. The teach showed up right on time (to the minute) and was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Blue Chip Auto Glass for your cracked windshield or other auto glass replacement. I have USAA auto insurance and they try to push Safelite (Note: Safelite handles the claim processing for USAA windshield glass claims). Safelite had previously damaged the interior fabric on my SUV so when I needed a cracked windshield on my car, I checked Yelp and went with Blue Chip Auto Glass who had the highest rating at the time. Blue Chip had excellent knowledge and communication. They aren't open on weekends but they will come to your home or office and do the repairs on site - mobile windshield repair. They arrived on time and they make the entire windshield replacement painless. Their workmanship is also top notch. ** Please note I would be skeptical of anyone offering you a "free dinner" ... a "gift card" or "$80 cash back". I'd use a quality company like Blue Chip Auto Glass instead. The reason I say this is because USAA allowed a max of $340 +/- on my windshield replacement which was for a new Lexus !
