I caught a pebble to my windshield on the highway last week in my brand new car. Quarter sized star Mark. It was like the cement truck had just gotten done mudding and thought they would see how many rocks they could fling during rush hour. Not happy. I digress. Ryan, their service tech was very friendly and did a great, professional job. Total replacement took about 45 minutes, which for a quality, detailed job, is very fast. Kelly and his staff are wonderful and go the extra mile to make sure that everything is done in a first class way! My car was a little more difficult with a forward facing camera and Kelly assured me that they could do a great job and they did! I also had a neighborhood gate sticker and a window shade on the inside of my windshield and everything was put back exactly as it was on the old glass! Also, pretty sure they washed my car! Outstanding experience from start to finish. I stopped by their shop to show them my windshield. He stated it needed to be replaced, and they'd start the paperwork. I explained that I wanted OEM glass, and he said that wouldn't be a problem. My insurance company approved it immediately, and they had an appointment 2 days later. They called 2 hours before my appt and asked if I was available then, if not they'd be there at the scheduled time. I was available and the 2 techs were friendly and got right to it. They explained the process, and it looks just like the day I drove it off the lot. If you drive a Tesla, you know replacing the windshield through them takes weeks if not months. Luckily, I heard Blue Chip Auto maintains a stock of Tesla windshields (in fact. I think this is who Tesla calls in my market) so they are able to help right away. I spoke with Kelly who was likely the most helpful human being I've worked with all year. He walked me through the process, worked with my insurance provider, and scheduled my replacement within two days. By Tesla, I was told to wait six weeks. Kelly called once the insurance company had approved the cost and even provided me with a loaner car to use for the few hours it took to replace the windshield. I contacted Blue Chip to install a new windshield on my 2000 Nissan Sentra. A previous installer (not Blue Chip) scratched the paint along the pinch weld and didn't apply primer over it, and it rusted, causing a leak at the top of the windshield during the last rain. I had to remove the windshield, sand down the rust, re-prime and paint, and did some research on windshield companies before settling on Blue Chip to put in the new windshield. I was able to get an appointment less than 48 hours from my call and two technicians came out to do the install correctly. When my SUV needed a new windshield, I called Blue Chip Auto Glass based on its stellar Yelp reviews. Five star rating with more than 300 reviews for windshields? How is that possible? To put it bluntly, Blue Chip Auto Glass's customer service surpasses service I have received from ANY kind of vendor in recent memory - high end department stores, fine restaurants, medical professionals, hotels - all of us could learn from Kelly and his outstanding crew. I am now going to cross the Too Long to Read line in case you have any reservations about Blue Chip. Brittany knowledgeably answered all my questions, conferenced in my insurance company, and obtained approval to install an OEM windshield. When I realized that I failed to mention my car has driver assist technology, I called Brittany fearing the worst - that I might have to go to the dealer for calibration. Nope! Brittany reassured me that it was no problem, they could re-calibrate the driver assist in shop, and she promptly acquired authorization for that from my insurance company as well. I wanted to come in Monday morning, but Blue Chip was booked (no surprise), and I scheduled an appointment for Monday afternoon. The next day, Brittany called to inform me there had been a cancellation and asked if I would like to come in earlier. Throughout all our conversations, Brittany's friendly, cheerful tone was unwavering. It struck me that Brittany clearly enjoyed serving Blue Chip customers which made me feel valued and welcomed, rather than as if I was a bothersome client interrupting her day. I arrived 10 minutes before the shop opened and was in driving off in Blue Chip's free loaner vehicle before my actual appointment time. No fuss, no red tape, just efficient and friendly service. When I returned, I was quickly escorted to my car which was still in the work area. Kelly gave me detailed instructions how to care for my window over the next couple of days and answered all my questions. Over the top details: immaculate work area, friendly nods from the other technicians, Kelly making sure I was clear as I backed out into a blind driveway, not being talked down to, and ending the deal on a handshake. As luck would have it, Loop 101 bestowed a huge chip on my 30 hour old windshield. I called Blue Chip the next day, relayed my situation to Shannon, and asked if Blue Chip could help. Kelly explained that they do not usually fill chips of this size but invited me to swing by at my convenience so they could take a look.
