Was starving after an early morning flight up from Sarasota. Always trying to find a good local place vs. a big name chain. Stumbled on this place down by the water. Looks almost shady from the outside but wow it was awesome inside. People were super friendly, cool atmosphere and really good food. Just what I needed after being up since 4:15 AM. Ice coffee and big hot breakfast hit all the spots. Would come back anytime! read more

Quaint small restaurant located in a bucolic setting. The view from the front porch which has a few small tables is of the bay less than a hundred feet away. Open for breakfast and lunch, inside is quaint and homey. All the tables were filled and everyone looked content. We ordered two sandwiches and sat outside. After ten minutes and no water that was requested I went inside and reminded the waiter who seemed to be new. He was very polite and brought water for my wife. I grabbed a bottle of beer from the bar and went back outside. We had come from shopping and had some perishables in our car. After about another ten minutes a waiter came out to clear a table. I asked what was doing with our sandwich order. He said "everything is cooked to order ". I didn't tell him that you didn't have to cook a sandwich. We waited about fifteen minutes more and I left two dollars under my bottle and we left. This is new owners, we hadn't been to this location in years. I think that it's a go to spot for a good breakfast or lunch. Everyone inside and out except us seemed happy. It's kinda out of the way for us but I would try again. Good people here. read more

We used to eat there when it was located in Fort walton beach and the restaurant space was to small to meet the demands of those desiring to dine there. The food is wonderful, the quality is great. All the bread/bagels and pastries are made in house. The coffee beans are roasted there. We bought a bag, we liked it but it wasn't our favorite flavor. The new location is bigger and has an amazing view, but the food isn't quiet as good as ir used to be. The atmosphere is very homey and casual. The staff is very friendly and inviting read more

I found this place on my first day in Niceville. Breakfast was good , bacon was great. I will definitely stop here again. My only knock would be the small portions. We waited over an hour to get our food. That is unacceptable for a breakfast place. No one came to check in on us. No one asked us if we needed anything. And on top of that, the food was gross. I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars. The wait staff are great...always on the go. The food is very good, served hot, lots of it. The maple bacon is excellent. The biggest problem is they start out telling you that everything is "cooked to order" so you know it will not be out fast. That's ok...but over an hour is way too long for a restaurant that only seats about 40 people at a time. Unless they are baking the bread before they make the toast/French toast, waiting for chickens to lay eggs or baking one biscuit at a time...someone in the kitchen is very inefficient. Maybe it is better on a weekday, but don't go on Sunday morning. read more

Went for the first time today for breakfast. Had the skillet breakfast with egg and sautéed veggies that were very good maple honey bacon that was " to die for" Excellent food! Delicious and great service. Also got a blueberry scone on the way out. I used to get scones in England and this was as good or better! The cookies and brownies and bagels in the display looked so good. Unfortunately, I haven't tried all of them yet. Only disappointment is they serve plastic utensils , the breakfast on a paper plate that got soggy and and a paper coffee cup. This place is a hidden gem! All of the staff are amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The environment seems very locally owned which is what we love about this place- makes the service more personable. The food is outstanding. I've lived in Niceville my whole life and this is by far the best breakfast spot around. It's cheap and delicious with the best bagels I've ever had (and I'm a big bagel girl). I recommend the everything bagel with cream cheese and a side of maple bacon. The staff is super sweet but they're always slammed, so make sure you come with patience and get there early Friday-Sunday. Cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place! read more

Quaint little place in Niceville to get away from the tourists. We stopped here after dropping a friend at the airport nearby. Service was good, food was a bit of a let down. We had such high hopes but it was a bland. I had the B.o.b. (Breakfast on a bagel) it just needed some seasoning, sauce or something to liven it up. My friend had the breakfast burrito and she said the same thing. They have a nice little water view of the bay and no crowds! I would go back again but try something else on the menu. read more

The one thing that is good about this place is the view and the coffee is OK.. the food is basic add can be and the service is horrible.. the last time I went with my girlfriend I only got a refill when I asked a different waitress and never got checked on one time during our meal.. this is only a decent place to look at and nothing special or good the past three times we have gone. The breakfast on a bagel was delicious with their maple bacon. I choose the garlic and onion bagel because it was lunch time. Great staff as well! Also, I didn't try them but they have some excellent looking sweet treats as well. I had the chicken salad sandwich this visit and it was delicious. It had just the right amount of mayonnaise, some places put way too much, but Blue Collar has a good balance, plus the grapes and walnuts make for fresh burst of flavor with each nut and the walnut pieces give it a nice crunch.
