Owner Elija replied. Elija you sure it was us? After his reply, I would not recommend supporting this establishment at all. Now he is just flat out lying. Elija nobody cussed at your crew, you know that I know that and your crew knows that. I will not have a bad owner lie about my guest and our interactions. Maybe you should learn from this and recalibrate how you respond to issues and treat customers that are there to enjoy themselves and spend their hard-earned money. You can see from his own response that, as I said, he does not care about customers, take ownership of the issues and just blames the customer, making excuses and making up lies rather than face the facts or handling it appropriately. Sorry for the long response here fellow Yelpers but I don't appreciate his flat out lying. Firstly, Eli says "the cussing at my register is why I did not offer you anything". Eli is lying and I don't appreciate that and shows that he is a bad owner. My uncle is a retired Air Force Colonel and he is very respectful, calm, educated, classy and never cusses - never has. My uncle is the one who spoke to the owner, I was up there but didn't say anything. My uncle was extremely calm and politely explained the situation in a calm manner. He went up to the register as to not have to complain in front of other guests around us because, again, he is respectful. Being next to him I can quote exactly what he said to the owner, calmly and in a low voice, and was very civil I can assure you with zero cussings. It is just breakfast after all. We just left and went to a much better restaurant. Eli says "we tried to explain the whole restaurant filled up and we were putting out a 12 top". Wrong again. When we arrived the restaurant had a couple of empty tables and no- one in the back rooms. It is a small place serving eggs. Even if it was full, a well-run restaurant should be able to handle and get food out in less than an hour. 1) "we tried to explain" Eli didn't explain anything, in fact, he didn't say 10 words to us. He just looked down and muttered whatever the price was for the coffees. A server walking by is the one that actually said to him that they got slammed this morning. But that was the extent of any conversation. 2) Then he says "We were putting out a 12 top" I Don't think so. The biggest table was behind us and maybe that was 9. But let's give the benefit of the doubt to Eli and say there was a 12 top. For the 12 top to be served before us must mean they arrived and ordered before us. If we were waiting just over an hour then they had to wait the same or longer, You mean to tell me you can not get a 12 top out in less than an hour, and to do so you block all other orders?? Eggs, bagels, and bacon take an hour? Eli post "Then we brought your food out and you didn't want it cause you paid for the coffee." No, they brought the food after we sat for over an hour, after not one person came to our table in that time, after we spoke calmly to Eli (with zero cussings), after Eli completely ignored our concerns after he charges us for the coffees, after we were totally over the entire experience and after we were all up and walking towards the door decided to give it a try. _________ Don't think we will be back owner doesn't seem to care, slow kitchen, poor service. We were seated right away and ordered our drinks. After the drinks arrived we ordered our food and then we waited, and waited, and waited. (We waited so long I joked to our party that I was going to change my breakfast order to a lunch order). After waiting for over an hour, with empty drinks the entire time, no server interaction and no hint of our food we decide it was time to leave. The owner was actually at the register so we went up and let him know that we have been waiting for over an hour for our food, no one has been to our table, we only had the coffee and that we are leaving. To that he replied "that will be $10.62" (or whatever the exact amount was for the coffee). Mind you, we never were offered a coffee or water refill the entire time but he felt the best course of action was to ignore our compliant, lack of service, and our long wait with a dismissive and unfriendly response and attitude. The owner clearly doesn't care about his customers. We heard a waitress tell the owner that they had been slammed but while we were there that was not true at all. The entire time it was the same people with maybe one new party - but no one waiting. If that was slammed for them then they are in trouble. Granted, not all restaurants can get it 100% right all the time and that is ok but it is also how they handle things when there are issues. After so much of our morning wasted , poor service and never even getting our food- you don't ignore the customers and then just charge for the coffee. At least acknowledge the issue and inconvenience by your establishment but if the owner doesn't care then neither do we. Plenty of other places. read more

Waited almost an hour for our food, service was mediocre, and the food subpar. I am only writing a review because I think this place has great potential but they are losing customers due to mismanagement. My opinion -- Hire another cook and have the waitresses focus more on the customers in the cafe instead of trying to close up so they can leave on time. I truly want to give this place another try so I wanted to leave my constructive criticism. I hope it helps. read more

One of my favorite places to get breakfast! The food is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend the corned beef special. Their muffuletta is also amazing. You can't go wrong with getting any of their baked goods as they are always exceptional. They also brew Maas Coffee which is great, definitely recommend getting a cup of the Jazz. This is a MUST try if you're in the area. The Fort Walton location was our go-to, but the new Niceville one is so much roomier! The bagels are absolutely amazing (seriously, the size of Texas) and they're famous for their maple bacon. The breakfast on a bagel is my breakfast favorite! This place has THE BEST cinnamon rolls I've had in years and years!! Ask for sticky buns - plenty of cinnamon, nice amount of sweet and nuts. Then they warm it up in the oven with butter on top to keep it soft and because why not put butter on top? Wish I'd taken a photo before eating it. Oh and they serve MAAS coffee. Love that I can get Jazz coffee in Niceville now. There's lots more - but it's all about the cinnamon rolls for me! read more

I got the egg bacon croissant.. it was delicious! My husband got a plain bagel with egg and bacon. He didn't care for his much, but we also got the French toast and it was great! Yum! Yum! Yum! We have been waiting for over a year for this location to open in Niceville. We have been fans of the FWB location for a long time. The Jazz coffee is delicious and roasted in house. This review is not for eating at the restaurant. This review is about hosting an event at the restaurant. The bottom line is: Make sure you get all agreements in writing in advance. We received a recommendation for this restaurant to host a small baby shower. When we first approached the owner of the restaurant over two months in advance, he was very accommodating, agreeing to let us come in after the restaurant closed to use the back room for the shower. Almost a month in advance, we provided a detailed list of the food and drink we were requesting. This list included cupcakes for the shower, a fruit tray and a cheese and crackers tray, and basic beverages. The owner's response was that it would not be a problem and he would get us a price. We subsequently received a text message with a room cost and a per-person cost for food and drinks, which was very reasonable. The owner later contacted us by phone, offering to reduce the quoted price since we were providing all the plates, cups, silverware, and tablecloths. We accepted the price reduction for the room but insisted on paying the full, agreed-to price per person for the food and drink. During this conversation, we also discussed some food allergies for the anticipated guests and he was very gracious to accommodate those. He later called to confirm whether an allergy was just for strawberries, or for all berries. On the day of the event, we arrived early to decorate the space. The room in the back for events was very nice. It was perfect for what we required. We decorated the room ourselves. When the cupcakes were brought out we were provided only 32 of the 36 we had ordered; however, the taste was delicious. The shower started, but no food was brought out. We finally asked the owner about food 35 minutes into the shower, and he told us he was providing only cupcakes. We were very confused and showed him the final text where we had clearly specified what we wanted and where he had agreed to it. He claimed that he had called us after that text and it was agreed that we would bring all the food, and he was to provide cupcakes only. This was certainly not how we understood the agreement! Two of the ladies who were supposed to be enjoying the shower left the event and drove to a local grocery to buy some prepared meat and cheese trays and fruit and veggie trays, which we then set up for our by-then-hungry guests. We were embarrassed by the appearance of poor planning and cheap food. Obviously, there was a huge miscommunication. We understand that happens, and wish that we had insisted on a written agreement in advance despite the owner's assurances that "we will do whatever you want". What we don't understand was the owner's attitude once he realized the miscommunication. He had an "oh-well" attitude and made only a belated, half-hearted offer to provide replacement food and drink. When we were ready to pay for the event, the owner stated a room price that was $100 over what we had agreed to in his text. After some discussion, he dropped the price -- but the argument was still very stressful to deal with while we were supposed to be enjoying the shower. So our advice is that if you decide to use this venue for an event, make sure to have everything in a signed contract that clearly states each party's responsibility and a documented price for services. It would also be a good idea to reconfirm your event several days in advance, as our shower had all the appearances of an event that had never been put on a calendar and was a surprise to the owner and his staff when we showed up. read more

I used to be a regular at Blue Collar, when they were on Hollywood Blvd. in Fort Walton. I am very sad that it's a 20 minute drive instead of just five. That being said, they have only improved! I finally made it to the Niceville location yesterday and I was not disappointed! The food was just as good as ever. I had the soup and sandwich special; Gouda tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. I also had the Jazz coffee which is roasted in house. It's even available by the lb (whole bean). My husband and I shared a giant chocolate chip cookie, which was the perfect end to a delicious meal. The location is right across from the water and the view, from the patio, is gorgeous. Additionally the renovations to the interior of the restaurant turned out great. I would (and do) highly recommend Blue Collar to anyone who asks for recommendations. The owner Eli and his mom Nancy were even on site yesterday working. Being a small business owner myself I can really appreciate their dedication! read more
