Mama Theresa is always super friendly, it's a cozy little spot, the food is always fresh and fantastic, it's a great spot to take the whole family, and it's all priced very well! I always get pancakes when I go, but I've tried their eggs, potatoes, bacon, hash brown casserole, peach cobbler, and a biscuits & gravy - all have been super yummy and tasty. *update* Glad i tried them again. The Philly omelet was delicious with fantastic cheese pull, the home fries were great. I added my own salt but they were still good, the gyro was fresh shaved off the spitz and again the hashbrowns casserole was fantastic. The cheese hashbrowns are fantastic. The eggs sunny side up were dialed, maybe could use a little salt or pepper, but I'm sure they do flavor to your own tastes. Sadly, for me, I didn't like anything else. The egg wrap wasn't for me and whatever was in it. It was really really dry. I don't know if they use a spitz for the gyro or not or if it's heated on a grill out the fridge, but it arrived dark brown, meaning the gyro meat was dried out and didn't have that gyro texture. I will definitely give them another try and update my review accordingly, but for this meal. The hashbrowns were the star. read more

Absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had. And in 73 yo. Ham and cheese omelette with the most delicious GRITS made perfectly. Coffee was awesome. My wife and I split the order and had to take some of it home. I do would had taken a picture but I didn't. Maybe next time. Lunch menu looks great. We will try that Wednesday. Service was awesome. I came here a few weeks ago with my partner. My food was a bit dry, I got the pancakes. Syrup came in a squeeze bottle that was sticky, no big deal. Their food was a lot more flavorful, but salt was needed. Overall the food itself was a 2.5/5. What turned me off entirely though was the little roach that decided to play around the table. It was not a palmetto bug that you would expect, but rather a young looking roach that felt comfortable in the area. I did not finish my food nor drink. We quietly paid and left afterwards. I live nearby and used to come here often. I noted that a new employee, a young male was there. We ordered breakfast. I got my coffee but no cream. I asked he brought it. I received my dry waffle with no butter. I had to ask for that too. After he dropped off our breakfast, he never returned to check on us. I never got a coffee or water refill. Instead, he checked his cell phone and sat on his butt! We are not tourists and as mentioned live nearby I used to come here a least once or twice a month. Not anymore. They just started serving dinner, it is amazing Turkish foods! The best kabobs, many varieties, appetizers are So flavorful, we selected the mixed mezze plate which was a variety and each was a unique flavor, highly recommend to start. Came here for lunch with some work associates and found it to be very diner style which I am a huge fan of. Found some of the food to be good while others not so much. Definitely a small town mom and pop restaurant. The employees were really friendly. The prices are affordable. The menu looks like it's been the same since they opened. The same with seating and atmosphere, very old style and small. The food took a long time to get to us, but I empathize because I was seated with a big party. Once we got the food the only thing that was hot was my home fries. Everything else was lukewarm. The food itself was ok, not enough to make me come back. And the bathrooms are outside which is weird, but they were tidy. They had a cup that said "psychoward" (see attached pic) I thought was a little insensitive because of the stigma attached to mental health, also why have random mugs? Why not regular cups/mugs maybe it's a culture thing for this restaurant. Ultimately I appreciate the homey feel that I know the regular locals most likely enjoy. I'm vegan and I came here with a group of meat eaters. I thought that a place called Mother Earths Cafe would have more to offer in terms of vegetarian and vegan options. That really wasn't the case. Even the salads are very meat and cheese heavy. However, it was fine because the staff is super nice and accommodating. I ended up getting the Greek salad removing the cheese and dressing and adding Italian dressing and avocado. You can tell that their produce is very fresh and high quality! I was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base from 2004-2010 and I would eat here at least once a week I usually get the grilled balsamic chicken salad but I've had almost everything on the menu. Came in with my 2 yr old daughter, wanting to have a nice lunch. We sat for a very long time waiting to be greeted. The server made eye contact and continued her personal conversation with other patrons, and was unphased by a new customer coming in. I basically had to either leave with my hungry child, or wait until social hour was over with a toddler, so we left. she saw us leave and STILL said nothing to us. WHO DOES THAT?!?
