I had lived in Pensacola for 25 years, and I never went to the infamous Blue Dot. It took me moving away and coming back to visit eight years later in order to finally come. And I instantly regretted all those 25 years of never being here before. It was so good. The building has that iconic look to it. They don't make buildings like that anymore. Stoic, blue, welcoming. You enter and there's just tables everywhere and a counter you walk up to to order. Lots of welcomes echo from the back where everyone was husting and bustling. Blue Dot's key to success has been its simplistic menu. Burgers and ribs and that's pretty much it. So I ordered one of each. Just a simple burger, no fancy fixins. But chocked full of flavor, tasted like it was cooked right on the coals. And a nice steamed bun. Very good. Very worth the price. And then I went a little too far. Not only did I order the ribs, I ordered the whole slab option. Sounds like a good idea at the time. Turned out to be a great idea. Dinosaur ribs in a big pan dowsed with a yummy sauce. No unrendered fat that got in your way, and plenty of tender meat. Bite, dip in the sauce, repeat until done. Overall, place has earned its legendary status. Efficient service, amazing food, a good place to show your friends from out of town. Will be back soon.

I have lived here since 1972 (except for 17 yrs while in the Navy) and I'd never been to Blue Dot. Well I finally went and my stomach is kicking my ass that I waited so long! As described nothing fancy but hands down the best burger I've eaten in Pensacola. (And yeah Sammy Barkers doesn't hold a candle!) I will be a frequent patron from now on!!

If I could've had it my way today I would've had a Bacon egg n Cheese, salt pepper ketchup on a hard roll. Instead, I settled for a burger. My coworkers and I had been talking about this place for months, even met there one time for lunch and it was closed. So today I decided to head back. I got there right as they were opening and already there were people waiting on orders. My order was to go because the coronavirus is not allowing dining areas to be open. My burger came out pretty fast so I decided to eat it in the parking lot. I've seen the pictures on yelp so I was the least bit concerned with the appearance of the burger, I just wanted it to be BOMB! The first bite was the best bite. There was some salt and pepper on the bun that got wrapped into that first bite which added some seasoning. The bites that followed were just ok/good. As I'm eating the burger, I'm sizing it up to my burgers . The burger was a bit dry and under seasoned for my liking. I think I might be in the wrong occupation because my burgers has these beat hands down. I'd bet a $100. So overall, it was decent. I do recommend trying it for yourself.

    The Blue Dot...since 1946.

I got there at about 11:45 on Wednesday and parked in the front. I ordered a double cheeseburger, Coke in a can, and a bag of BBQ Lays...to eat inside. All orders come in a brown paper bag with lots of napkins..(You will need them) The young lady was very courteous and helpful. My order took about 5 minutes and was nice and hot when I took my first bite. I don't like burgers to go..because they will lose some "juicieness" when cooled. Burgers and ribs...with or without a soda and chips. That's the menu and you won't be sorry. The customers were just one after other as I sat and enjoyed the fantastic burger... Okay...that's all for now. I'll go again next week. (Please disregard duplicate post below. I couldn't add pics on the App on my phone)

Short work trip so decided to pop in here for a quick burger, and very happy I did. Just a hole-in-the-wall, sloppy burger and BBQ joint, with a friendly face asking "what ya want?" as soon as you walk in. Definitely the type of place that reminds you that you are in the South! Recommend the BBQ sauce on the burger, and I hope you're OK with sloppy and wet, because this burger is a juicy mess, which is what makes it so good. Meat is very flavorful, and the taste is as unique as the joint itself. Pair it with a bag of chips and Coke, and you're all set. Ribs (and rib sandwiches) are also offered Tuesday through Friday. Friendly, delicious, and cheap! Only knock is no fries :(

The best burgers in town. You can have anything you want as long as it's a hamburger and anything you want on the side as long as it's chips and canned soda. The burger is big enough for two to be satisfied. Comes standard with salt n pepper, mayo, mustard, tomato, onion. Delicious!!!! Great value, quick service.

I learned quickly that the area is NOT vegetarian friendly and this place was one of the few exceptons. The staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and they always got food out in a timely manner. We ended up visiting the food truck 2-3 times during our trip because we trusted the quality of what was being served. The one thing I can say that I was disappointed with was their sauces. A bit ironic, as it's in the name but they were extremely underwhelming. We ended up using sauces we had saved from other spots. I still highly recommend trying them as their food was very good!

When I got there I had to knock on the window to get someone's attention because they were already cleaning up. Once they came over, I told them I had a pickup order and they just handed me the bag without saying anything, which felt like I was an inconvenience to them (even though we tipped on the order too beforehand) The food itself was mostly good. The portions were solid and we really liked the Brussels sprouts, those were definitely the highlight. But the veggie burger was honestly really disappointing. It had almost no flavor and was so bland we couldn't even tell what it was made of. We also had the chicken tenders and sweet potato fries which I would recommend and kept me full. Also, no napkins were included, which would have been helpful considering everything was pretty saucy. Overall, not a terrible experience but definitely some things that could be improved especially with customer interaction. It's not very inviting at all.

With somewhat dim lighting and a speakeasy's ambiance, The Burrow offers a great spot for just a drink or a full meal. For starters, check out their cocktail menu. Sure, they can make you your favorite drink, like a Manhattan or a basic Cosmo, but their featured drinks are outstanding. The Giving Tree is a smashing blend of pear & vodka, with a mint garnish, and it is seriously drinkable. The Burrow even offers CBD-infused cocktails for those that really want to take the edge off. The fare is beyond the standard bar & grille, though they do serve a fantastic burger. For appetizers, the Raclette Fries are a must-try with rich flavors that could captivate any palate, and bigger appetites can tackle the Pork Shank, served bone-in and topped with cabbage for that authentic German approach. If you want something lighter, then the Little Wedges (the only time I actually enjoy iceberg lettuce) could be a meal to many, topped with the usual bleu cheese & bacon crumbles - so good! Pricing is right on par with the value and the drinks themselves are simply outstanding. The bartender even made a previous 'seasonal' offering for my father-in-law, so you know the service is top-shelf. The space inside isn't huge, but the decor and layout is pretty well optimized. Great spot for any season, and with the biergarten space, you have plenty of options.

It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. It ain't just a burger it's a roadside sermon in a bag, preached by a man who knows his beef and your funny bone. Amen.
