My first & second visits here were both 5-star worthy. I'll write about my second. I had the special which was a "wet burrito" stuffed with salmon, black beans, rice, jalapeño & guacamole. Then smothered in a red enchilada sauce. The flavors were just amazing. The salmon had some really great grilled flavor all by itself. The rice (I'm a rice snob) was cooked perfectly. Not one thing overpowered another. The enchilada sauce was divine. If I had a spoon... My honey also had the special which was mojo seafood. It was mussels, shrimp & scallops "piled high" (just as our waiter described it) in a red garlic sauce. It came with grilled bread which was perfect for slopping up the garlic sauce. It was out-of-this-world good! The sauce had perfect slivers of garlic that we both ate alone & they melted in our mouths. So, so good! Oh yes, I had a delicious cream soda too! We've been to Blue Fish Grill twice, and it's safe to say that we will be going back. Especially in the warmer weather to sit outside, after an afternoon of roaming the outlets. Pros- Crab cake sandwhich. it's just awesome. I really love the bun that it's on and that red pepper sauce. I also really enjoyed the BFG fish tacos (tilapia with slaw and an avocado salsa) Cons- Fish and chips. it's a fish place, how can you mess this up? granted, it is a grill, but still. it was oily, rubbery and flavorless. read more

A hidden gem in Flemington. We were on business and stopped in the first time only to find a 90 minute wait. We made reservations for the following night. Great decision. The seafood here is some of the best I've ever had! I really like the tacos and the mussels! My brother and I love the restaurant and we go at least every month together. The staff is very nice too and they are always pretty attentive to us. I highly recommend getting a special because those are always amazing! You have to bring your own beer though, but my brother and one of my friends prefer that because restaurants usually don't carry the beer they like. read more

We wanted to just get out and take a ride. We had another establishment in mind but didn't make reservations so we couldn't get in. The BFG came up and it said reservations suggested so I took a chance and called. They told us there was room wow we are SOOOO glad we called and didn't pass up a fantastic place to eat. First thing,you need to like fish, there are other options but why would you come if you didn't love fish? We tried Ahi tuna nachos. WOW THEY ARE OUTRAGEOUS!! The flavor was spicy (not like jalapeño hot) and just delicious. The chips are fried wontons, so so good. Definitely try this dish. Next my husband had the crab cake sandwich and I had the Korean Scallop taco special. Both were so incredibly delicious. I can go on and on but I must say, if we lived closer we would be here often. Just had lunch at Blue Fish Grill and this place is the gem of Flemington. I ordered the ahi tuna over mixed greens and it came with a delicious soy-ginger sauce and, let me tell you, it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked rare tuna. Loved the atmosphere, diverse seafood stuffed menu, the waiter Aaron (?) was super friendly, just an all around great place. It was refreshing to experience such a high standard of customer service. Despite coming at a busy time, our waiter was attentive, patient, and kind. I actually left a 33% tip because she was so pleasant. The fries are fantastic, and the price of everything is surprisingly affordable. If I could make a suggestion, avoid the fish from the grill. It just wasn't fresh, and I only eat fresh fish. But everything else is worth getting! Their burgers are huge and well seasoned, if you're a beef-eater. It's not a first-date kind of place, but it's perfect for families and friends. We went to Flemington to take a train ride and ended up, by chance, at the Blue Fish Grill. We felt very comfortable sitting outside, in the shade, under an umbrella, and the cool shade of the trees. All staff wore masks. Menu on line or paper menu available to keep. We had tuna tacos, Mahi Mahi and several other seafood dishes. All were tasty, and fresh, with an excellent presentation. Our server was Kareem, and his warmth and enthusiasm made It feel like we were honored guests in his home!! He made suggestions, answered all of our questions, and was attentive and on top of his game throughout our dinner. And what a dinner it was!!! I ordered the Impossible Burger, and it was AMAZING!!!! Flavorful, perfectly prepared, and delivered all the juicy goodness of a "real" burger , which says a lot for a plant based meal offering. The menu is a bit short, the food is on paper plates, the location is the nondescript part of Flemington by the outlets. But everything tastes so fresh, and the staff is so friendly, that you won't mind. The fish tacos are fantastic. They make real iced tea (not southern style sweet tea, mind you - I wish! - but good brewed tea) and their desserts are good. Prices are quite low. The atmosphere is cafe-like - not a place for a hot date, but a great place to grab some dinner with your family. Sadly, most of the surrounding area is closed by dinner most nights, so there aren't a lot of places to stroll after - but that's Flemington's issue, not this place. They do participate in UPromise, which we like (dough for the kids' college accounts and fresh fish - gotta love it). They have a good takeout setup too. read more

Just discovered this place today while leaving a day of shooping in Liberty Village in Flemington. Treated my mother to lunch and it was delicious. We split the small Nappa salad, wonderful and plenty for two to split. She enjoyed the crab cakes with fries and slaw, said they were the best she's ever had. In fact she ate One and took home the other. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. 3 large pieces of haddock served with the most addictive fries, thin and crispy. I love this restaurant!! My favorite items are the Fish Tacos & the Swordfish pared with a delicious sauce (I prefer the Asian Pan Sauce but they're all delicious)... They have fabulous sides too, the grilled pineapple & loaded mashed potatoes is a favorite as well as the black beans! And they have homemade potato chips that come out warm & they're great served along side the "Fish & Chips" with some malt vinegar or the Crab Cakes! Their burgers are good too but fish is their thing! It always tastes very fresh, never over cooked & seasoned perfectly!!! Mmmm Mmm Mmmm! Give this place a try... Set right off of main street and right around the corner from the Liberty Outlets, Blue Fish Grill proves to be an excellent choice whether its lunch time or dinner. What makes this restaurant unique is that it is connected to a cafe. The waiter we had was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Although the menu isnt large, I had a hard time deciding because everything seemed fairly appetizing. The waiter gave me his suggestions and I ultimately went with one of his options; Baja Tacos. I have to say, I was surprised how good they actually were. The portion size was generous, and the food was pretty clean. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and i would go there again.
