The room is very comfortable and airy with windows on two walls, and quiet. The bed is very comfortable with nice feeling sheets resulting in a restful sleep both nights. The bathroom is well lit and has a walk in shower, with fantastic water pressure. The proprietor, Victoria, is exceedingly friendly as well as a wealth of information about the local area including where to eat. I found her descriptions and recommendations to be spot on. Breakfast is elegant. It is casual for the guest, but the table is nicely set and the food is freshly made and delectable. The weather was great during our stay so we got to enjoy a day at the beach. There are beach chairs and beach blankets available to borrow, as well as a parking pass for the Madison beaches. Victoria has really made it easy to enjoy Madison and makes you feel at home. I found everything to be in close proximity. The historical sites in Guilford are about 5 miles and the Madison beaches about 1 mile, and the on-ramp to I-95 is about 1 mile.

The room was sizable and clean. We loved the outdoor areas set up to sit and relax with a view of the marina. We walked down the dock and spent a few minutes speaking to a friendly fisherman. We enjoy both Southold and Greenport and found this location perfect for both. Just a few minutes drive to downtown Greenport, but with vineyards around the corner. Add two restaurants in walking distance, and it was perfect for our getaway. Really only two drawbacks for me. First, the walls are THIN. We came in low season where there was almost no one there, but I imagine this could be a problem. We could clearly hear our downstairs neighbor snoring as well as other, ahem, night time activities. Second, the bed seems comfortable to sit on but I found that I kept getting soreness in my hips. The pillows were a bit flat.

I was connected with a woman named Beth, who was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When I began explaining the situation, she literally said, "I don't have time for this," and then followed it with, "Are you making a reservation or not?" I was stunned. We were ready to spend a week here, but after being treated like an inconvenience for asking a basic, medically necessary question, there's no way I'd trust our family vacation to this place. I'm genuinely at a loss for words at how poorly I was treated. Also, I might like to add it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. I think I've only ever left one other negative review on my account. Trying to support small local business has always been a priority of mine and I understand people have good days and bad days so I don't usually take two social media to post a negative review but this was over the top nasty. I felt I needed to do so. Not to mention, I took a screenshot. The phone call was only one minute, so the fact that she became so nasty and saying she shouldn't have time for this I'm flabbergasted.

Steve had great recommendations for places to eat in Greenport and other areas nearby. Our room was clean and cozy and the view of the woods in the back was nice. Parking was very easy. There's a common room with a good selection of board games and books to read though we didn't get a chance to use it. There's also some comfy Adirondack chairs outside in a grassy area for lounging. The inn is also within walking distance of several wineries (just be careful crossing the road) including Lenz, Raphael, and Pindar. Don't know when I'll be back in the North Fork area but I'd stay at Harvest Inn again!

The Steam Room, the Sauna, the Rain Shower and Shiatsu Jacuzzi were just a few of the luxurious highlights. Our Room had a veranda with exceptional views of exquisite gardens, trails and sculptures. The owners/hosts Michael and Rosalind are just amazing and warm. We felt quite at home with their kindness and enthusiasm. They are also both exceptionally talented artists and sculptors. They each have their own personal studios within the villa with amazing pieces of their personal talents. The exquisite gardens, trails, and sculptures along with the extraordinary grounds adorned with a variety of greenery and colors, paint a vivid picture of a serene and beautiful environment all around you. There also are several imported artifacts all around as you walk the grounds. The fresh breakfast prepared by the staff and the access to Clearwater Beach were delightful additions to our experience.
