This is the cheese sauce/corn crab bisque. Same exact product.

Went to Wegeaux Cafe on Westbank expressway.... Oh let me tell you!!! This is a pic of the sauce that the corn and grab soup is made of. My girl said it wasn't her taste, the short waitress told her to take it home because she still had to pay. When she said no thanks she took it back boxed it up and still charged her. Of course she's the manager. Manage me spending my money elsewhere! As much as we eat. And as many people we know... This is horrible customer service. It's not what you say but how you say it. Don't spend your money in a place where bad food is compounded with rude behavior and bad service from Billie the Floor manager... whose boyfriend is the cousin to the real waitress Mona that served us so well last time we enjoyed this place.

This was my first eating at this hidden gem. The food was very favorably, hot, fresh, reasonable priced and served with a smile. I don't know how I never been here before, but I do know I shall return.

This is a quaint little place that offers breakfast all day...winning! I stopped by yesterday for a quick one. It was full of what looked like regular customers...everyone seemed to know each other. Service was friendly and fast. The breakfast was tasty and super reasonable. They also serve lunch. My only negative was the tea party sized coffee. Lol. I had to get a couple of refills before i felt completely saitisfied. Other than that it was a pretty good experience.

Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. (Onions and mushrooms are optional). So delicious!

Crab balls are truly amaze balls. There is a mama in the kitchen cooking comfort food like a boss. Every day offers a daily special and the chicken fried steak was the real deal served with homemade gravy and real mashed potatoes. My friend had the pork chops which can be ordered a multitude of ways. Portions are HUGE. Bring a big appetite or go home with a meal or two left over. Me? I'm taking home the pecan pie. Don't miss this precious diner because it's what a diner should be.

A wonderful lunch in this little hole in the wall.

Great homemade food and always hot when it's prepared and served. Wish they stayed open at least an hour later though.

Great for takeout. Love the chicken and sausage gumbo. A few years ago they had chicken stew on the menu. The stew was amazing.

I tried the pork chop with the onion rings and a side of fries. I do wish it came with 2 pork chops because it wasn't that big. It was cooked through and wasn't dried out so that's a plus. The fries were just fries. The food came out hot. I also tried a small piece of the hot sausage poboy. The bread was soft and it was Patton's. There's no complaints when it comes to Patton's Hot Sausage. Theirs tasted better than some of the nearby poboy shops. The service was good. I was with a group and the restaurant was packed so, it wasn't super fast but also, not slow. I'd try this place again.

Our waiter, Jonathan, made the experience unforgettable. He took the time to sit down with us, walk us through the menu, and share his recommendations--and every single one was spot on. We ordered the blackened redfish, catfish, gumbo, savory cheesecake, bread pudding, and vanilla bean crème brûlée. Every dish was outstanding! And we can't forget the cornbread--the aroma of warm butter hits you the moment it's placed on your table. It was the perfect way to start the meal. What really stood out was the staff. Every waiter worked together as a team, helping one another and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do, and it made the entire dining experience even more special. From the incredible food to the exceptional service and inviting ambiance, everything was top-notch. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to dine here--you won't regret it! A special thank you to Jonathan from the family from Texas for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for a dressy date night, this is not the place for you. But if you just want a hearty delicious meal in a fun atmosphere with friendly, attentive service- this is the place!!! We ordered: * Watermelon mojito - very refreshing * Hurricane - boozy * Ribeye special * Short rib special * Eggplant pirogue * Barbecue shrimp - which Daniel, our server who clearly loved his job and joyfully took care of all his customers, graciously peeled for me All our meals included the complimentary corn bread, a spinach salad, and 2 side dishes (we had the corn, mashed potatoes, and shoestring fries). The meal was already so filling, but our wonderful Daniel brought us a toasted coconut caramel bread pudding with 4 spoons! This place is packed every day after 7pm, but if you come early...you should be able to score a table. Reservations can be made for larger parties. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip!
