Server was super sweet and understanding but we could hear owner bitching about "if they wanted fast food they should have gone somewhere else"! That person (maybe to owner?) should NOT be in the hospitality industry. Our party was very patient and worked well with the server but the loud mouth is who this is aimed at. One order was wrong and fried items were drowning in grease and of 2 pizzas, one was partially undercooked and one was half burnt. We were driving by and decided to give it another chance. Disappointed in the experience today. We've been here before and the service/management seems to be consistently unprofessional. Also, not the best pizza. We had the Luciano deluxe. The bell peppers were so big they were raw, the cheese only slightly cooked. The crust was hard, half of it black on the bottom, not something I'd order again. We also did a BYO with pepperoni, the cheese was melted at least and edible. Customer service - horrible. I received my receipt. When I asked to remove the Bloody Mary that was extremely over seasoned and undrinkable, the server explained that because they used their products they're unable to take it off the bill. She continued... "other customers who came in before you didn't have a problem with the way I made it, so I can't do anything about it." (So that must mean everyone likes it tasting like you dipped your tongue into a salt shaker? Ok then!) We asked to speak to the manager. The manager (Zach) was conveniently too busy to come over to our table when we seen him talking to people at the bar before our problem was brought to attention... unprofessional and irresponsible. Seeing the responses the owner has to other negative reviews on their page, I'm not surprised by this. The receipt displayed an 18% automatic gratuity. Given the server replenished our drinks once after attempting to drink the nasty bloody, and the attitude that came along with our visit today, it wasn't worth the $90. I'd say the atmosphere is cool (lighting, decor) but not when it comes to the quality of service. This is a great addition to the improving food scene in Chippewa Falls. They did a great job of preserving the historic feel of this building while adding modern touches. It's off of the main drag, across-ish from the Leinie Lodge. It's on a one way street and is easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled. There is a great beer selection here with many seasonal options. I hope they expand their wine list to include the local Riverbend brand, as the Autumn Harvest wines run pretty sweet. I ordered the Breathless Mahoney pizza, others ordered the Drowned Frenchie, California burger, and kids pepperoni panino. The paninos are like a deep fried calzone, and everyone seemed to think they were a neat idea and enjoyed theirs. My pizza was tasty. The wood fired chicken on this pizza is an knockout. Everyone kept taking chicken off my pizza and saying how good it was. My only gripe is that the garlic butter sauce needed a whole lot more garlic. I think this is a place that will stay in our repertoire when we visit. I can tell that they have their stuff together and are willing to take some chances with the menu. Didn't even get a chance to eat here. On a Saturday evening (early), we stopped in. The place was full except for two tables that were pushed together to seat six. We asked if they could separate and let us sit. They said no, they MAY get a large group in. We would not have been there for a long time, just eat and go. They simply wouldn't break up the two tables in case "a group of six might come in". There were two of us. We actually picked this place from Yelp for the good looking menu. My wife and I have lived in Chippewa Falls for a whopping month and a half. We've been to many restaurants as we are foodies and love to experience new eateries. We stumbled onto the Blue Marble Pub and instantly loved the vibe. We were immediately greeted by Nicole and fortunately, she was our server the rest of the evening. Nicole went above and absolutely beyond! Could very well be the best server and most friendly that we have ever had. Everything she recommended was fabulously on point. We had their sweet potato skins appetizer and pizza. Hands down the best pizza in town and trust me, we've tried a ton. Nicole was more than friendly and professional. She literally felt like family by the end of the night. She took us on a tour of the restaurant and introduced us to her colleagues. We met Madi, the exceptional chef and Artie. They were so very nice....so very kind and so very pleasant. TO THE OWNER: All three of these associates should be recognized for their efforts and their pride in this wonderful hidden gem. My family and I were in town at the Leinie Lodge and were recommended Blue Marble for a place to grab lunch. It's about a block from the Lodge in a really cool, historic building. We had a larger group and the one waitress working was very flexible about our seating and accommodating us. For only having one waitress, she was really attentive and everything came out in a timely manner with no mistakes. The food was delicious! Lots of different options and flavors. They were fine with substitutions, as they were out of some of the meat options due to a busy busy weekend. Everyone enjoyed their food with no complaints. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and stopped in here. We loved it! The staff, especially our waitress, was so friendly!! I had a craft cocktail-winter mojito- that was really refreshing and unique. (Actually, I had two!) I had a black bean burger that was spot on. Sometimes they can be dry and crumbly but this had some sweet potato in it, and then topped with feta, spinach and tomato. Yum! My friend had a pulled chicken sandwich that she said was really good. The whole time we were there, we were watching make pizzas that looked so good, so the next day we went back to have one. Delicious! The crust is amazing, and I love that they have unique topping combinations. Speaking of pizza - you have to check out the beautiful pizza oven built by the owner. Its right out in the open so you'll see it. Very cool! Heads up- the kitchen is very small so it can take a while to get food, but we really didn't mind. At least you know it's fresh. I would have knocked off a star for lack of mask-wesring during Covid (our waitress had one on at all times, but none of the other staff did, and they didn't really enforce a mask policy), but since that is such a political thing right now, I don't want to downgrade them for it. The restaurant has a early 1900's theme with old pictures and menu items such as the Sinatra Burger. Even the waiters are dressed in old style clothing. The sandwiches are excellent and the pizza looked good. Service could have been better. The young teen working there was obviously not trained properly. When I asked him about a recommendation for lunch, I got the deer in the headlights look. He admitted that he hasn't even tasted most of the items on the menu! TL;DR Management treats their staff like garbage. Do not support abusive businesses. I am from out of town and had just finished going hiking with a couple of friends. We were hungry and thought that this place looked like it might have some delicious food. This still may be true. Sadly, we will never know. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy and did not seem to have a lot of people working and we were told there would be a wait. This was totally fine with us as we understand many restaurants are having staffing issues and are having higher wait times. Our problem was with the man behind the bar who greeted us very rudely when we arrived and asked the simple question of "can we just seat ourselves?" There was no sign indicating the answer to this question but we were answered by this man (I assume he was the owner or the manager) with an incredibly sarcastic "yeah, if you can find a clean one" as he scoffed and rolled his eyes. This wasn't even the deal breaker. We sat up at the bar and informed the very kind servers (who both appeared to be no older than late teenagers) that we were fine with the wait time. After this, I heard the manager speaking to these girls as if it was their fault the restaurant was understaffed and proceeded to demean them. This was all within earshot of us, potential customers. It was at that point that we left without ordering anything. This behavior made us highly uncomfortable and I would never give a business that treats their employees in such a way even one penny of my hard earned money. To the manager who treats his staff with such contempt: perhaps if you're having so many problems finding staff, you should look inward. The restaurant itself is nice and so was our waitress but the food was some of the worst I've had going out to eat. I'm not sure what happened with our appetizer but the waitress had to confirm with us that we ordered cheese curds 20 minutes after we had put in the order. They came out soggy and in a pool of grease. The panino had no flavor and we also did not get the sauces that came with them and had to ask for them. They also did not know which panino was which so one of the workers opened mine up to see, he put on gloves but it still was gross to see someone sticking their fingers in my food. The kitchen is open so you can see everything. The fries were ice cold and had no flavor. I've had better hot pockets. I'm very disappointed because we were excited to try this place. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday, it wasn't busy...3-4 tables full max including ours. We had a group of 4 and the server forgot to enter my food. I had to wait 30+ minutes while everyone else ate. The guy didn't come back to ask about drink refills at all, so I went to the counter with my glass instead. We all thought the guy was stoned, and one of us swore he was drinking beer in the back.
