Update - two tile installers have confirmed that the floor tile (which was not meant for the floor by the way), was never sealed, hence the staining that cannot be removed. The entire floor will have to be demolished and re-tiled. Further Update - a plumber has confirmed that we will need to redo the shower tile in order to fix the inadequate plumbing and inept installation. read more

Our project consisted of some structural changes to our front portico, new roof, new gutters, and a fresh coat of paint. We could not be happier with our final product! Ruben has vision and great ideas. Our portico was suffering from rain damage. It also didn't have a good visual fit with the house. Ruben was able to come up with a design that fits the profile of the house as if it had always been that way. He was also able to salvage much materials from the original portico. I'm in the middle of putting up a rental home for sale on a tight schedule and budget. Ruben was able show up on a short notice and provide a fair quote for several key repair items. Ruben did an excellent job painting my weathered front porch deck. He was also able to replace a portion of molded, water-damaged drywall and restore it to great condition. What sets Ruben apart from other contractors is his work ethics (checking in late at night to make sure the repairs have dried properly) and his willingness to estabilish a good relationship with his customer (not being pushy on repairs I can't afford to do right now). I hired Rubén (aka Mono) to paint my home interior and complete a somewhat lengthy list of repairs prior to listing my house (bracket gutter downspout to house, bolt deck to house, replace damaged plank on porch & re-stain it, fix doorbell, replace burned out chandelier bulbs, fix stuck drawer, etc etc). He finished the jobs beautifully & in a timely fashion, coordinating around the providers of other services I needed before listing. His recommended paint colors look great, too.
