just alright pizza. nothing to write home about (although isn't that kinda what I'm doing right now?). the cheese is used to give your pizza heft, which a cheap way to charge more, I suspect. very processed feel, in my opinion. had the Hawaiian, and there was way more pineapple than ham (almost non-existant). had leftover slices, but you just know it wouldn't heat up well, so we ended up leaving it in the fridge at our zero-stars hotel, the lionshead inn nearby. sat at the bar waiting for a table, and the tender was sloooow, and clearly wasn't paying attention as to who to serve in what order. at least two other patrons appeared after I took a stool, and were served ahead of my party. inexcusable when your "bar" seats about 15 at most. wake up, dude. nice atmosphere. like I said, alright if you just want to relax without being crowded or have to deal with the typical hoity-toity vail elite creeps that usually wouldn't be caught dead in a pizza joint. quality of the food could use a boost, especially given their location at the base of one of the premier ski slopes in the u.s. read more

I recently went to Vail for a vacation, and stopped to get a bite here. The pizza is actually really good, but the price is insane. One-hundred dollars for an large, and a small. A carry out takes a little while, if you don't call in, but that's to be expected. It's nice for a family to sit down in. It's close to a gondola, and near some pretty cool places. The guy who served me also said all their cheese was made there. Which is a plus, I guess. But still, this pizza reminds me of a pizza I had at my local shopping mall once. 3-5. Loved the spaghetti and meatballs, my friend had the Greek salad and the cowboy pizza, both vet good. I had a Paloma cocktail and it was nicely flavored. Would go back again. You will have many choices for pizza and you can get pizza by the slice. read more

The best place in Vail for pizza. All of my friends love the chicken ranch pizza, while I'm more of a plain pep, sausage and mushroom. The food never seems to take a long time, and is always good. It's not overwhelming as far as pizza, but they do have Crazy Mountain Amber Ale. This is one of the best beers you can get anywhere and blows Fat Tire out of the water. I would say that it is normally 3 stars, but for the simple fact they have Crazy Mountain raises it to 4. Another great thing that I enjoy about Blue Moose is you can get any of their pies by the slice. This works great for me, because as I mentioned before I don't normally go with the flow with everyone else. Great for a meal heading out on the town or a simple stop for lunch. read more

She brought our drinks and brought our food.....all in a reasonable time, no complaints here. First time in Vail, certainly an amazing mountain. Many places to eat, but chose pizza. We chose poorly. Being from NY, the pizza was average, the lasagne was just OK. We changed our mind from wanting carry out to eat on the patio. The hostess made a point to condemn our decision. Instead of panting our food they brought it to us in to go containers without plates or silverware. Except for our waitress, Lexi, they treated us terribly and were rude. This was the WORST experience of any I've ever had eating out and I am 65 years old. All items were delivered after lengthy waits and our main course - the pizza - never came - except in a box as we were walking out. Our server lied to us about the whereabouts of our pizza no less than 4 times. The manager refused to come out of the kitchen and talk to us. We can totally understand a kitchen mix-up but for our server to tell us 4 different versions of what was happening - all of them untrue - is unacceptable business practice. Grabbed a pizza here and it was pretty decent didn't blow me away but it was pretty tasty and we were starving. I love the chilli that they have it was very meaty and great because it was so cold outside. So many pizzas to choose from. Our waters were never refilled and when I asked about local beers the waitress seemed annoyed and didn't offer any suggestions. Went there to avoid ridiculously high restaurant prices in Vail. Pleasantly surprised at quality of the food. Very vegetarian friendly. Try the Middle East Salad pizza: hummus, lots of veggies and feta, piled high with fresh basil. Our server (Kevin, I think) was exceptionally personable and excellent at his job.
