I tried their TRX Yoga class through ClassPass. I thought it was a different way to practice yoga and it was definitely challenging to find my balance during some poses. The instructor, Carrie, was pleasant and also practiced along with us. The studio was heated at a warm temperature, around 80 degrees or so. There are two studios inside, a large one and a medium sized one. If you're a new member, you'll have to fill out a new client form and you also receive a tour (I appreciate that I haven't received any spam from them!). Additionally, if you sign up for a membership here, you're allowed to store your mat here! Overall, the studios were clean and there was also tea in the front for your drinking pleasure. There is shared parking with other businesses, but I believe that there's also a garage nearby. I would consider trying out their other class offerings here in the future! read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place. Solid studio with good instructors, clean, juice/snacks for sale, changing spaces, lavender towels and adjustments at the end, and 2 bathrooms with all the important little things like hair ties, panty liners, and lotion. I've been here multiple times via ClassPass and have not had any complaints. There's a variety of class types and times to choose from, including classes with the TRX. Parking is plentiful in the garage and a short distance from many places to grab food afterwards. The only thing keeping me from getting a membership is my unpredictable work/ travel schedule. read more

Not only are their two rooms heated to a comfortable 80-something degrees, you'll also receive an incredibly warm welcome upon entrance, likely from one of the studio co-owners, Jane or Amy. The classes are offered at convenient times and are all taught by high quality instructors who give you a great workout for the body and mind. If you are new to yoga, they expertly guide you through poses and adjust as needed/wanted. The staff makes everyone feel welcomed, regardless of experience. I use to love this studio and went to several classes a week. There was a sense of community, the studio was nice, and I enjoyed the variety of classes and instructors. Unfortunately most of the instructions that I like no longer teach there now and many now teach at the new location which I can not make it to. I haven't found any new instructors that I enjoy as much. Minor detail but the studios are also dusty which can bother allergies. I am going to continue to try new instructors and get back in to the flow of going to classes. If not, I may need to end my membership unfortunately. read more

This is a great new local business. The instructors I have used to this point have been excellent and each has a different style of teaching. While I prefer the more athletic yoga they offer classes of different levels of difficulty and instruction that varies. This place is just ok. I ended up not using my $50 1 month unlimited. Rooms are always a bit too cold for me. By the end of the class I'm shivering in shavasana. I like have the heat build up during a class so I can relax in that final pose but they always keep the rooms so cold. Parking isn't too much of a hassle but like with any place with inconvenient parking...sucks in the winter. The bigger issue is having to making the turn into the building when you're coming the opposite way. And you can't get into the building from the parking garage, you have to walk around to get to the front. read more

Blue Nectar is amazing! I signed up for a one month trial; have taken a few classes and already know that I will join. I have visited other yoga studios and they felt fussy.... you know the drill - - fussy and pretentious. Not at Blue Nectar. They are so welcoming and you can tell that it's not just because I am new - - they treat the long time clients the same way - - always greet you by your first name and show a true interest in helping you with your form and learning about yoga. Quite nice! I took a class at Blue Nectar Yoga through Class Pass and it was great! Facilities were clean, fresh and well outfitted. The gal at the desk (Maggie?? So sorry I forgot her name) greeted me with a warm welcome when I walked in for the first time, and Anna (the instructor) came over to introduce herself to me in person before the class began. To a newcomer, this is a big deal! It's easy to feel like you don't belong, so getting the feeling that you are valued, to me, is what sets one yoga studio apart from another. The actual class was hatha yoga so we held poses longer and used that time to meditate a bit. When I left, I felt rejuvenated and calmed. Great way to spend my Mother's Day! With my classpass, I took a class here tonight and left joyous and serene. I felt so welcomed, and Amy (my teacher) led the best yoga class I've ever been to. It was the perfect tempo - challenging for me, easy to modify, with key moments of relaxation and meditation (it was a combination yoga and meditation class with the meditation at the end). I also loved how she always told us when to breathe - as a newish yoga student, that reminder goes a long way for me. Even the students here all seemed so much more cheerful and warm than other places I've attended. I also loved how the staff really seem to care about students as people (from my limited experience so far!) The studio is also beautiful. Outside the studio windows was a beautiful view of trees. I just started taking classes here as a very very beginner. I did a lot of research before choosing which studio in the area to try and I've been very happy with BNY. I didn't want a workout based or hot yoga studio because I wanted to try it in the most basic form and I think BNY does a great job of that. My first night when I walked in, I felt very welcomed. The teacher got me signed up for class for the $50 unlimited first month and I've tried almost every teacher and every class I thought I could handle including restorative, yin, and rookie vinyasa flow with a few teachers. I've liked some teachers better than others but all have been helpful and I think worth the money for the class. The space is nice and relaxing and I really enjoy that it is a varied crowd that comes to the studio. Men, women, young, old, I've seen pretty much everyone at the studio. There are a lot of regulars which keeps the space feeling very familiar and friendly. After my month unlimited is up, I will probably keep coming back, but less often due to the prices. My young professional budget can't handle $109 a month for unlimited classes! Parking is not the easiest since you have to park in the garage behind the studio but then again, it's Falls Church and I'm happy to have free parking that is relatively close. read more

What a pleasant surprise Blue Nectar is! I have done lots of hot power yoga so I wasn't sure I would like a slower moving vinyasa. I was totally wrong. The instructors are amazing, each one offering a different sequence but each one also offering modifications. There is no ego in the classes, just great instruction and challenging poses. The staff is warm and welcoming and the studio is clean and well stocked with whatever tools you need to help you through your practice. Parking is easy in a garage behind the building and the pricing is very reasonable. There seems to be a special going on all the time. I am thrilled to find Blue Nectar and after just two classes decided that I wanted to buy one of the memberships. So glad I did as I plan to return often! read more

I really enjoyed my first visit to this new studio and look forward to returning! The first thing I noticed was how well laid out it is. It is not a large studio, but I appreciated thoughtful details like plenty of cubbies to stash your stuff and extra hair pins in the bathroom. The studios themselves are also beautiful, with tons of natural light coming in through large windows. Another thing that stood out was that everyone I met on staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming, which was wonderful because it can be intimidating to visit a new studio. My class itself was great--accessible enough for newbies but offering plenty of challenges for experienced students. I really enjoy the vinyasa style they teach, as I've found it is the best combination of a demanding physical workout and also a centering, calming mind exercise. I also really like the warm but not oppressively hot rooms. read more

There are a lot of yoga studios popping up in Falls Church, but this one is the real deal. It's perfect for those of us who don't just want "hot and sweaty" yoga, but a true yoga experience. Just finished a 60 minute flow with Jane. She is a fantastic teacher with a thoughtful and clear teaching style. My husband said it was his favorite class he's ever taken. She created a wonderful atmosphere and offered great modifications and adjustments making a complex sequence available to all levels. I took my first Prenatal Yoga class this past Saturday morning taught by MJ, who was subbing for another instructor. I have been to a couple of different studios in the area, but am somewhat new to yoga. I enjoy yoga, but I came home from this class in the BEST mood. It stole my heart. The class was perfectly paced, calm and relaxing. It is held at the perfect time on Saturday mornings. I love the feel of the studio when you walk in.
