I like to visit local coffee shops when I go out of town. After doing some research I knew that Blue Owl was the shop to try. They have a great variety of drinks even if coffed is not your main vice. Service has been consistently decent every time I have been in. The drink selection is nice, I've tried several new things that I like. The atmosphere is cool with the exposed brick and there is a large back room that could be used for larger groups. Overall the place is quite small with limited seating - not somewhere I can hang around and work for hours. It's a good place to grab a coffee or tea to go, for sure. read more

WOW! I love this coffee shop! The coffee and the tea is absolutely incredible, the atmosphere is amazing, and the service is kind and knowledgeable. I love getting the blueberry blessings tea with a splash of honey (their normal amount is too sweet). I highly recommend coming to Blue Owl! It's my favorite study/work joint. Plus, the parking is free, which is great for students. I will most definitely be returning (numerous times this week). read more

This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Lansing/East Lansing. They have an awesome vibe and really cool staff. The cafe features different local artists and musicians and has a creative menu of cocktail-inspired coffee drinks. I live the charcoal latte with coconut milk. You'd be surprised at how good it is! Great coffee shop in all their locations. Usually just get the brewed coffee, which is excellent with different varieties on different days. But the espresso drinks are great as are the pour overs. read more

I tried a cup of just plain coffee and it was awful. In all fairness I am a Starbucks person and was expecting a rich coffee blend with a good aroma and flavor. The drink I received smelled and tasted burnt and had way too much acid. What I really did like was the shade of blue that they painted the front of the store with. read more

This place is amazing. Super comfortable seating and the coffee is fantastic. I got a lavender cappuccino which was very good but a little sweeter than I expected. The early and late hours make it great for studying. Weekend mornings are a little crazy so get there early! read more

I love the physical space, the staff is always pleasant, and the coffee is great! The only shortcoming as far as I'm concerned is the lack of soy milk, but that's much more a personal preference than anything. read more
