So I knew I had a problem, and I wanted to support a local business that would help me find the resolution for that problem. That is how I came across Chen's Skincare and Spa! I loved that I was able to book an appointment online through their website which was clean and easily navigable. They only took one person per hour in the spa which was comforting giving that we are living in times of plague and pestilence. I was texted to confirm and showed up the next day, a babe in the woods, ready for my first facial/microderm treatment! My technician was Hersy and she was very polite and very understanding! She made me feel welcomed after I revealed that this was new for me as a guy who admittedly didn't know as much about skincare as perhaps I should have known! She explained everything she was doing, what the effects were, and she even made suggestions on how I could better take care of my skin. It has been three days since my Gentleman's facial and microdermabrasion treatment and I have never seen my skin glow quite like it does now! Its wonderful and I've received so many compliments! The place is nice and clean and after I found out they had recently moved into this location from across the street so this was a facelift. I've only done pedicures so far but each time they have done a great job. The massage chairs are cool if you like that during your visits. Everyone that comes in is greeted the same way by Pricilla and for me that's a big deal. I've been to other spots where when you walk in they either don't greet you so you're confused as to who to talk to or they just rush you to say what you need done. I noticed a lot of ppl coming in and speaking to her like they were old friends which says a lot about how they run business at Lumi. They have a loyalty card to earn a percentage off of your service and I also got a cute lotion as a first time customer. This will definitely be my go to spot going forward.

There is no place to hang your robe or clothes while you are in the showers or sauna. The quiet lounge area isn't that quiet. It's small and some don't really abide by the whisper zone. I passed this place almost every day and didn't realize it was here, I just thought it was a nice house. I have to pay more attention lol. The place is very nice and clean and the owner is very welcoming. Also, a big perk is that they have parking in the back!! LOL, those who live in this area know how hard it is to get parking there. I got the 60-minute medical massage and I have to say that she hit every area on my body that needed this massage. I've been to a lot of different places throughout the years and this specific massage is what I needed. What I also liked is that at the end of the massage, she used a hot towel all over me and that also took the oils off of my body so I was not leaving the place all greasy. Many other places didn't do that and I was oily until I got home. I never felt comfortable using any showers at some spas that had showers. I definitely will be going more often not only for the massage but will be trying the facials as well. It can be surprising how much of a positive impact these services can have on your overall well-being and I am so glad I went. I will be going back soon!
