    Bronzini Francaise with french fries
    Bea R.

Calling all seafood lovers~*~*~* Blue Point Grill is a BYOB establishment that takes pride in serving only the freshest catches available! The ambiance is casual and lively with both indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend making reservations! Their menu changes daily, so they have rotating dinner specials and mixed grills. What really stood out to me was the variety of seafood they offered on their menu. They have options that I don't regularly see at other restaurants such as monkfish, swordfish, corvina, and Arctic char. They still have your basics like salmon, lobster tail, shrimp, and oysters. Each entree also includes a side of your choice. We ordered... *Grilled Calamari $16 - I'm a fried calamari girly, so I didn't expect to love the grilled version as much as I did. This appetizer was 5 stars alone! The texture was firm and chewy. Miss me with that rubbery nonsense. *Bronzini Francaise with side of french fries $42 - This entree was a Mediterranean seabass with citrus mustard cream sauce. The meat was tender, flaky, and semi-sweet which paired well with the sauce. The fries were nice and crispy! *Florida Red Snapper with side of garlic mashed potatoes $49 - This was highly recommended by our server and I can see why! The red snapper was perfectly seasoned and had a mild, but sweet taste. You can tell how fresh it was. The garlic mashed potatoes were delishhhhhhh! *Key Lime Pie $11 - Perfect flavor profile that combined tartness and sweetness. Not only was the entire meal amazing from start to finish, but so was the service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. He checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal and having a good time. I wish I didn't live over an hour away so I could come here more often!

So fresh! Oysters and clams on the half shell with my college son curated by our waitress and us! It was all delicious! I ordered seared ahi tuna and he ordered another dish and we swapped our entrees. We were very satisfied with what the other one ordered. Ambience was pleasant and they sat us at the oyster bar, which i did not mind at all! All in all, a pleasant experience!

Came here for restaurant week and they had a prefix menu so you got to pick from a lot of different options-- had the seafood ciopinno, jalepeno lime shrimp and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very fresh. ALL of the seafood. I just prefer spicy food so I do wish the jalepeno shrimp was more spicy than sweet but regardless it was still good. The service is fast and they were really nice to seat me last minute. I hear the oysters are great-- didn't get to try.

We had our anniversary dinner here. We were very happy with our meal. Fish was fresh and delicious. Calamari was crisp. The steak was cooked to perfection. Dessert was the perfect ending to a great meal. They have indoor, outdoor dining, and a rooftop. Server was great. Attentive and quick It's a BYOB kind of place. Had a great meal. Will definitely come back.

    Warm, outdoor seating.

The Blue Point Grill was an extraordinary experience. Street parking could be tricky so, make sure that you pull into their parking lot, adjacent to the building. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the tables are comfortably spaced apart, and I was impressed with the warm covered outdoor seating. There were plenty of customers enjoying this seating. I have to start by mentioning how awesome our server, Gustavo, treated us. He gave great recommendations, answered our questions in detail, and made the meal comfortable and memorable. We started with one of my favorite appetizers, Grilled Calamari. The calamari was absolutely delicious, the firmness was optimal, and the lemony sauce added to the perfect selection for a starter. Since this is a "seafood" restaurant, we chose two seafood entrees. The first was the Florida Red Snapper, with garlic mashed potatoes ($49.00). The second was the Bronzini Filet Francaise, with fries ($42.00). I cannot commend both of these dishes, enough. Both were succulent, flaky, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Both are highly recommended. For dessert, we shared the Sweet Mama's Key Lime Pie ($11.00) and, once again, it was a wonderful choice. It was adorned with a blackberry and two dollops of whipped cream. Another highly recommended item. I capped off the meal with my favorite, Double Espresso ($6.00), with a side of cold milk. Please, do not hesitate to visit Blue Point Grill and enjoy every aspect of a superb meal.

Pesto Crusted Wolffish with Fava beans

Great Service, Fresh Seafood, Awesome flavors - with adjoining free parking lot in the heart of Princeton! There's ample space both inside and out with cozy seating arrangement. Service was friendly and prompt. When I noticed the veins in the buffalo shrimps, they apologized and took it off the check. Food was excellent, felt fresh and right portions. The pesto crusted wolffish with fava beans is a good and unique creation - the texture and flavors working well together. The blackened seabass had the right amount of kick and crispiness. Fries were thin, yet crunchy on the outside and soft inside. 3 stars primarily for the price & shrimp. While understand seafood is expensive and in Princeton prime location prices would be higher, the sea bass preparation, which was more like street food was priced at $52 and the Wolf Fish came out as a sophisticated dish was priced at $38. If priced high, then quality (veins in the shrimp) should be high too.

Amazing food, excellent oyster selection, super nice staff. Second time and this time a birthday celebration. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!

We both ordered the ribeye steaks. They were cooked to the right temperature and were tender and flavorful. The fries for the table were generous, perfectly seasoned and very hot and crispy. Asparagus and Brussels rounded out the meal and assuaged the guilt that comes with ordering two giant slabs of meat. Our servers were wonderful. We felt special and we left happy. Seafood shack in the middle of Princeton, NJ?…read more Nassau Street Produce and Seafood produces good seafood entrees with great value. They also sell uncooked seafood here and a limited selection of fresh produce as well but my visits focus on the box lunches and entrees. At the prices quoted, the entrees are well worth it. The salmon platter has been my favorite so far with a great grilled flavor accompanied with standard fries. The salmon filet, whether stand-alone platter or between a bun, has perfectly cooked grilled lines, with a moist bite that speaks to the expertise of the griller knowing exactly when to take the filet off the heat. For box lunches, the fish and chips platter is a mammoth sized filet that would be best eaten quickly to savor any crunch that is left over from steaming in the cardboard box. It would be hard to say your hunger would not be satisfied with this meal. The fried clams was really on the small side without the belly and was mostly breading to be honest. They were however perfectly crunchy and not greasy. If there is one knock on the food it would have to be the fries, which could be the worse fries I've ever had. Definitely up charge for the onion rings which are supposedly homemade and far superior. They shutdown operations rather early in the evening so this isn't a evening meal destination. I often find myself taking my food to a nearby Princeton park table/bench to enjoy on a nice sunny day/early evening. Call ahead if you are in a hurry and your meal will be waiting for you before you arrive.

The seafood has always been reliably fresh, and for that, I give credit. However, the level of customer service has seriously declined. It's disappointing because in today's world--where good service is increasingly rare--it should be easy to stand out by simply treating people with basic respect. Unfortunately, the staff, many of whom I recognize from past visits, have become noticeably rude and unprofessional. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior. I'd rather take my business elsewhere--there are other seafood markets in places like Clinton and Flemington that value their customers. Sometimes businesses reach a point where it's time to reassess: either improve the team or consider moving on. Quality 4 out of five customer service negative.

Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . There was a young lady sitting in the corner in the phone telling us that there were no seats if we didn't have a reservation. Not the most polite but whatever. We went back to the bar and got a table. Why are bar tables always so sticky?! Anyhoo, we just missed the Happy Jour menu but it was only a $1-2 discount (except for the burger: $4). Service was pleasant and attentive. The food was overpriced for sitting in a bar. $30 for a bowl of ramen! (I don't know how it tastes but it's $17 across the street.) $22 for a burger and fries! $10 for two little bao with a single shrimp in each! Ok, that's not too bad since Bao is generally overpriced for some reason but I could have gotten more than one shrimp. Unfortunately, the price did not reflect the quality. My friend who got the ramen said it was in the bottom 25% he's ever had. My burger was pretty good but the bun was toasted and brittle and made an unnecessary mess. The fries--personal preference--I don't like skinny fries. As for the bao, the shrimp was too salty. I liked the finishing salt but the flavoring salt was too heavy. Also, it was drizzled with aioli and I couldn't pick it up and eat it like the sandwich it was. Overall, a disappointment. Mediocre food and an elevated price for no reason.
