    Chicken Teriyaki Dinner
    Irene S.

What an INCREDIBLE dinner experience! Came here for my hubby's bday and it didn't disappoint. We had our first omakase meal here and just loved every dish we received. Server was friendly and even met the sushi chef, a friendly Indonesian lady. This wasn't even the official omakase as it was the 7-roll version that was highlighted on their menu. Almost like a sampler to the real experience. They also do an official omakase with at least a week's notice, where they personalize the rolls based on your preferences. Will definitely come back on another special occasion.

Ordered takeout which went smoothly and they had the order waiting for us when we walked in. The sushi here is just okay. In my opinion it's on par with some AYCE places. I had higher expectations for the price point. The rice in the two rolls I got was dry and overall did not enjoy the texture of those. The pieces of sushi were decent but nothing special. The spicy mayo is very light in color but I still found it tasty. The ginger and wasabi on the other hand were very bland.

Japanese dining tends to taste like the owners all bought the same Sushi Restaurant kit. That is not this place. This is on another level of taste and creativity. Service, atmosphere, and menu variety are excellent. At first I hesitated ordering the 7 piece Omekase wondering if was worth it, and chose the chicken teriyaki anticipating I would still be hungry. The octopus was cooked rare, avoiding the sin of octopus shaped rubber, and had a very well balanced marinade. The broccoli was the star of the show in the teriyaki; crunchy with fresh garlic flavor. The chicken was fried and in a thicker sauce that was interesting but became a bit bogged down. I have to tell you I had tears in my eyes when I ate the Omakase it was so fantastic. There were at least 5 different flavors to each nigiri and finding them was a surprise and delight. I couldn't believe it was so good. I gushed to Cindy, the chef, who is humble and kind, discussing the individualized Omakase experience, the crunchy broccoli, and the complexity of the nigiri. This is our new spot when we want good sushi, good atmosphere, and go beyond the American sushi kit restaurant.

Space is nice and service is good. I really want to like this place but unfortunately the food has no taste. All the food. Very unfortunate.

The food was amazing My son who's special needs loved his short ribs ( forgot to take pic before he started eating) I had halibut with like risotto and coconut milk And we had rock shrimp Dessert was burnt cheesecake Thant was really good Had fried ice cream It was good the food was A+++++++++ On weekends free parking by the restaurant And there's a parking garage right beside the restaurant.

Not super impressed. The appetizers were a little disappointing, definitely wouldn't get the ceviche again(super small portion and more of a tartare than ceviche but what do I know). Edamame was ok but salted unevenly. The sushi was pretty tasty but not life changing. The lucky o five and eel rolls were good but the soft shell crab one was a little watery. The desserts however were SO good. Highly recommend. Our server was a kind of cold but the service was super quick. The restaurant itself is nice. They also let us return a dish that we didn't like which was nice.

We had just gotten to our hotel and they suggested this as a takeout option , so we placed our order online , it was very easy & everything came out fresh and delicious!

Ordered takeout from the website which was pretty seamless. The food was ready earlier than expected. The interior of the restaurant was pretty nice but i didnt see any parking nearby. The food was pretty good and fresh but a little on the pricey side

Love sushi? Same. I've enjoyed the crème de la crème in Kyoto and Tokyo, where the fish practically introduced itself before leaping onto my plate. So imagine my horror at paying $55 for the so-called "Elite Omakase" here in the States. This is what I got for my hard-earned cash: 5 pieces of sashimi (toro, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and white tuna) tasting like they were caught in a pond of sadness. Plus, a "special" roll so bland it could've been named "The House Salad of Sushi." Tuna, salmon, avocado, and red tobiko all drizzled in a "special" house sauce so dull, it served no purpose except in its possible attempt to add color to the boring fish. And the condiments? Oh, they were the supporting cast of disappointment. Pre-packaged soy sauce that tasted like salt tears, wasabi that had no bite to it, and ginger so lifeless it did nothing. Even its color looked worn out. Here's the kicker: this dish changes price depending on the website--$50, $55, $65. Honestly, it felt more like a bidding war for mediocrity. This meal put me to sleep. As I was snoring, a neighboring diner robbed me of $55. Consider my omakase dreams officially crushed. This photo makes the Elite Omakase dish look colorful, full of vibrant tastes but alas, it's a dish of mushy fish with no distinct flavor with an unreasonable price tag.

Cold smoked yellowtail with "white sturgeon caviar" BS it is not sturgeon caviar. It is tobiko at best. Tasted fine.

Server was great. Atmosphere is fine if not standard. The food is not great for the price you pay. None of the sushi tasted particularly fresh and we ordered and appetizer that calls itself "smoked yellowtail with white sturgeon caviar". What they served is not white sturgeon caviar. I told the server but I don't think they care. The Yakitori we were served came out almost immediately and was clearly just precooked and briefly warmed up skewered. Overall quite sub par and expensive. Avoid.

What a sweet gem in the Princeton area! Love the affordable sashimi options they have and will certainly be returning after a wonderful anniversary experience. The maki elite five roll is also quite good too. Bathrooms are quite clean and the service is rather quick. The restaurant being packed on a decently cold day kind of tells you how consistent and popular they are! Scenery and vibes are immaculate and the tuna is to die for!

Seafood shack in the middle of Princeton, NJ?…read more Nassau Street Produce and Seafood produces good seafood entrees with great value. They also sell uncooked seafood here and a limited selection of fresh produce as well but my visits focus on the box lunches and entrees. At the prices quoted, the entrees are well worth it. The salmon platter has been my favorite so far with a great grilled flavor accompanied with standard fries. The salmon filet, whether stand-alone platter or between a bun, has perfectly cooked grilled lines, with a moist bite that speaks to the expertise of the griller knowing exactly when to take the filet off the heat. For box lunches, the fish and chips platter is a mammoth sized filet that would be best eaten quickly to savor any crunch that is left over from steaming in the cardboard box. It would be hard to say your hunger would not be satisfied with this meal. The fried clams was really on the small side without the belly and was mostly breading to be honest. They were however perfectly crunchy and not greasy. If there is one knock on the food it would have to be the fries, which could be the worse fries I've ever had. Definitely up charge for the onion rings which are supposedly homemade and far superior. They shutdown operations rather early in the evening so this isn't a evening meal destination. I often find myself taking my food to a nearby Princeton park table/bench to enjoy on a nice sunny day/early evening. Call ahead if you are in a hurry and your meal will be waiting for you before you arrive.

The seafood has always been reliably fresh, and for that, I give credit. However, the level of customer service has seriously declined. It's disappointing because in today's world--where good service is increasingly rare--it should be easy to stand out by simply treating people with basic respect. Unfortunately, the staff, many of whom I recognize from past visits, have become noticeably rude and unprofessional. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior. I'd rather take my business elsewhere--there are other seafood markets in places like Clinton and Flemington that value their customers. Sometimes businesses reach a point where it's time to reassess: either improve the team or consider moving on. Quality 4 out of five customer service negative.

As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . The brownie was soft and not too sweet, slightly warm and it vanished in a few seconds. Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. I loved everything about the experience at Agricola, but their lack of attention to detail stuck out like a sore thumb , as the poor communication between their front desk and wait staff dampens the guests' experience , making it a not-so-great finish .
