The service was good except they missed the occasion we were celebrating and didn't care to bring out a candle with the dessert we ordered . As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . The brownie was soft and not too sweet, slightly warm and it vanished in a few seconds. Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. In contrast to their far more expansive location in Morristown, the Princeton location is noticeably more "intimate" with Manhattan inspired table crowding. The space is warm and cozy, and we were seated right away for lunch. We shared a pitcher of the white ginger pear tea, so refreshing! Met longtime friends here for Saturday brunch and we were given a quiet table near the bar, which was perfect, as was the food. We shared a cinnamon roll (scrumptious) and I had the spinach and mushroom quiche, which was excellent and served with an arugula and radish salad I could not stop eating. Overall a great experience. My partner took me to this restaurant while on our day trip to Princeton. We went on a Sunday around 130pm and there was a 45min wait, which didn't bother us. We just walked around some gift shops. The space is huge. It was tricky to find the entrance since they have two different signs up... one I think is antique with another restaurant name so maybe why they kept it up. Staff was very friendly and service was good. Waited a bit for water and check... but since my partner and I were busy chatting, the wait didn't seem bad. Food was incredible! I got the Roasted Butternut Squash Ravioli and a White Winter Cosmo and my partner got a steak with eggs. Both dishes were $30/ drink $15/ he had a pomegranate lemonade but I forgot how much they charged for it. We opted out of dessert since neither of us have a sweet tooth. The portions appear small, but I was stuffed when I finished my meal. For reference I always eat about 2/3rds of my dishes in other restaurants. The mix of flavors were so delicious I am definitely voting to go back there when we visit again. My partner noticed and commented "it's the little touches that make a restaurant upscale." One walls had interesting art on them. Another wall had what appeared to be framed architectural pictures of the restaurant. And waiters all had great quality aprons with creative pockets. I wish the serving was a little larger. Sauce was creamy and delicious. I ordered the halibut with mixed vegetables. The halibut was a generous serving, but unfortunately, it was cooked a little on the dry side. I still liked it. The chicken Parmesan was interesting as it was on the bone. After trying to hit up a brunch spot with a 40 minute wait we decided to walk around and happened upon this restaurant. Looked at the menu outside and did a walk-in. We were seated at a tall bar stool table. Huge shoutout to our amazing waiter, Cullen W. He pretty much recited the entire menu to us, explained some of the standout dishes, recommended his favorite ones, gave us a brief history of their farm to table ingredients and which farms it came from. Also appreciated that he warned me that my choice of mocktail has a bitter taste. Great service always makes for an amazing dining experience. The vibe of this place is fantastic. Very romantic and rustic. The service was fabulous with fantastic recommendations and attentive staff. The cocktails were very unique and tasted great. We got the bang bang cauliflower, which loves up to its popularity, and the burrata which was simple and flavorful. For dessert we got the raspberry buttercake and it was superb. What a gorgeous farm-to-table restaurant with a creative menu and unparalleled service. The bar area was inviting. Some of the tables have windows that open to the sidewalk. We enjoyed two amazing appetizers and our friends had delicious peach and berry cocktails. The stuffed squash blossoms with marscapone and a side of gazpacho was delicious. The eagle-eyed manager Jordan suggested adding a little honey to the homemade cinnamon roll with strawberry rhubarb compote, which was off the hook. Get the Tea Forte on ice! The outside is so unassuming that you'd have no idea how much space there is on the inside. We had a reservation so seating was quick and easy. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive. We were there for a few hours so I appreciated him! We ordered a lot of food as you can see lol it was a girlie catch up session. Everything we ordered was good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the mushroom pate! It needed more bread but the flavors were hittin! The salmon I wanted had yogurt in it, so they modified it to fit my dietary restrictions. I appreciated this! And the modification was so good! And the peanut butter cup dessert was so rich and delicious--definitely too rich for one person to finish in one sitting. So I'll be snacking on that for the next few days. Have been here for brunch, lunch and dinner. I would recommend the brunch the most. It wasn't super packed when I came and the chicken sandwich was filling and flavorful. My friend got the French toast and the sweet options also looked quite nice. But the dinner menu was not super impressive. The chicken parm dish is a deconstructed version of traditional parm but it didn't stand out to me. For the lunch menu, the kale salad was quite refreshing and filling and the bang bang cauliflower is amazing. The shrimp taco and the crispy chicken sandwich are pretty flavorful. If you want bangs for the bucks, go for the chicken pillow wrap, it's massive and the sweet potato chips are a nice touch. The iced tea carafe is always a nice experience and they have some refreshing cocktails too. The service is always friendly, fast and attentive. My friends and I went to Agricola on Easter for a "linner". Even at the weird time we went, the restaurant was surprisingly full so we were glad we had a reservation. My friends ordered a chicken parm and I had the mushroom bolognese. We shared an order of truffle fries and they also got a lemonade and soda. Their chicken parm actually looked really good with several pieces of chicken, focaccia, and some grilled lettuce as well. My mushroom bolognese wasn't bad but I feel like the portion size wasn't very satisfying. Since it was Easter, we noticed that a nearby table found a golden easter egg hidden within some decor and they were able to redeem it to the manager for a chocolate bunny. It was definitely a cute touch that the restaurant had for the holidays. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier end, but we enjoyed the ambiance. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back and would probably order the chicken parm! read more

Everything from their apps, flatbreads, and entrees, to their desserts and cocktails are outstanding. The beautiful decor is sexy modern meets farm chic, with sprigs of wheat strategically placed on tables and displays, adding the perfect touch. I love the American farmhouse mural, and let's not forget the "thank a farmer" sign at the front with fresh local produce to grab as you leave (when I was there they had apples. The food was wonderful, our waitress was superb, yet the entire experience was diminished due to the noise level of the dining space. A party of 12 to 14 nearby was so loud and rowdy that we couldn't have a conversation without raising our voices as well. I feel the job of a good floor manager is to take in the atmosphere and intervene for the sake of everyone dining. This was a party that should have been in a private space, not in a regular dining area where they were impacting everyone, including the ability for waitstaff to hear our orders. I'm all for having fun, but not to the detriment of others. I live locally, I dine locally and despite the good food and excellent service, I will not be returning. I will be warning others. Ordered a bottle but what was brought out was a different vintage from the menu and new server did not even mention that. Opened it and was much too young to drink - 2025 vs 2023. She proceeded to tell me that white should be drunk young and nothing earlier than 2023 - seriously lacking in knowledge and training. Refused to replace with a different wine. Very poor service and understanding of the fact that menu was misrepresenting what was being served. This was a large party of 16 people so of course service was included. Stopped here for lunch and ordered the Goffle Farms Turkey Burger with truffle fries. It was very although the burger itself kept slipping out of the bun because of the sauce on it so I ended up using a knife and fork. But it was still good and the truffle fries were just just normal fries with shredded truffle on top of it. My waitress stopped in to check on me and was very friendly. We were seated promptly on arrival, in a booth large enough to accommodate us and my friend's 9 month old son. The staff was friendly, offering to move chairs around and a high chair for him to sit at the table with us. The space is charming; it gives me modern farmhouse vibes. It did get a little loud in there at times, but I didn't mind. The spicy marg was tangy, not that spicy. We ordered the Bang Bang Cauliflower to share. Excellent flavor on the sweet and sour glaze. Sesame seeds were a nice touch, too. We also decided to get an artisan cheeseboard, the wild honeycomb and seed toast paired perfectly together! I was squeezing every last bit of honey onto my plate. My organic egg frittata didn't "wow" me but it was good. It was accompanied by arugula salad but would have been fantastic with a side of toast or something crunchier, in my opinion. I had a pleasant experience dining at Agricola for brunch today. The local mushroom flatbread was delicious; with a slight sharp taste from the cheese and nice balance of spice. The frittata is super fresh! I found that the chicken sandwich was crispy and balanced nicely with the pickled jalapeños and egg, but the chicken was a bit dry. However, the fries were perfectly crispy. The last thing I got to try was the French toast, and it was slightly crunchy and had a delicious compote. Our server was so lovely and I appreciate that this restaurant pays close attention to allergy-related concerns, even if it was not an issue at my table. While the rustic aesthetic of this restaurant is lovely, I did find that seating was a bit uncomfortable. The booth was high in comparison to the table and therefore not very spacious. Came on a bed of arugula and pickled vegetables with an amazing basil aioli. Calamari was perfectly breaded and was the perfect bite when mixed with the pickled veggies, arugula and aioli. Warm and inviting with eclectic decor- you will find wood, exposed brick, clear vases repurposed as lights, tile walls- really, everywhere you look you will encounter something different! We were seated and quickly greeted by our server. He brought us ice water- truly welcomed on a very hot and muggy day! My daughter ended up ordering a refreshing summer cocktail called Strawberry Fields Forever while I had a Pinto Grigio. We decided to share a couple dishes and it was a good decision for us.
