There too many homeless people who live in different units. This was brought to their attention but they still let homeless live in units and hide them. Before you could see extension cords coming form units. Every time we (and friends say the same thing), there are homeless people walking around the inside of the fence with their bikes and stuff they carry around. Not available when hours of operation say so, closed on open days, open on closed days, out of office during business hours and never return calls. I've had my stuff stored here for 2 years and the service has been non existent and unavailable. It's so difficult to track these folks down- I just wanna pay my monthly dues! Gave my notice (was told I can slip a note under the door, so professional!) I tried 6 times to reach someone, both by coming by and calling. Carleen is a great help in finding out what size storage unit you'll need t stash your stuff. :) I've recently moved and closed out my storage units here, but before moving we had our stuff stored for about 8 months in a 10' x 10' (or two) in the E section of this storage complex. Despite other tenants reporting damage from mice/rats/water, we experienced none of these issues with ours. I had my fingers crossed a few weeks ago when we emptied our longest used unit that had 99% of our belongings because I couldn't get to the back most corners of it to check. Not one bit of vermin evidence or damage to report-we were very happy. Just the normal dust on things, I suppose since the units are not 100% airtight or anything. If you are using an outdoor unit like this, (as opposed to those climate controlled indoor types you see), just cover everything with those big sheets of plastic and it will be much cleaner in the end. I dusted everything with a microfiber before it went into the truck to cut down on the dust/dirt getting tracked into my new space. (I'm kind of a clean freak...lol) All in all, I wouldn't hesitate taking a unit here. The price is a bit lower than the complexes in the surrounding area and the availability was there when we needed it. We paid $125/month for a 10' x 10'. The location is convenient and the security is very good. I only rented a small storage space but it was reasonably priced. The management is excellent and was helpful when I decided the storage was no longer needed. They cut my lock off which I forgot the Combo free of charge and gave me a temp lock until the next day when I moved out. I'll use them again if I ever need a storage unit. read more

I've had many storage's in my time from moving to place to place but this one is the best. The manager is amazing as well as his staff when hes not there. I had a unit there for 3 years. The customer service is top notch and reasonable storage cost and a good selection of unit sizes. as long as I'm in the Sacramento area this the only storage place I need to go. I have had my things in storage here for over a year. I have not been in my storage for over 3 months. This past weekend i took my storage out and i had rat feces all over my furniture. I had three beds in great condition when I store my things and all three of my mattresses were completely ruined and covered with rat feces. I called the office on Tuesday to let them know that I had vacated and that I had damages and requested a manager to call me. I have not received a call back and do not recommend using this place as they seem to be infested with rats. My mover said that they would vouch for this statement as they said it was completely disgusting. Beware. read more

My mother did some calling around for a storage unit for her thing and my thing. We decided to give Blue Ravine Self Storage a try. Price was good, location was good. We reserve a post earlier in the week of March 18th-23rd. All seems fine. Let the office know we would be coming in on Sunday March 23rd to sign the papers and start loading the unit with stuff. Sunday March 23th. My wife, mom, my friend and I are all loaded and ready to get moving. We venture over to Blue Ravine Self Storage. We all pull in and park. I get out to go to the office and the door is locked. A removable sign says closed be back at 1:30pm. It's 11:30am. Hours of operation on Sunday say 9-4. Well you're not open. We're here and we now have to wait two hours before we can do paperwork and offload all our stuff. My family and I own a small business in Sacramento and we never close during the hours posted on our sign! If you say you are open 9-4 then for Christ sakes be open 9-4. Poor customer service. I would not recommend Blue Ravine Self Storage. read more

I am not one to write bad reviews, but the laundry list of things that went poorly during my experience made the whole situation very frustrating. Despite having a phone conversation with the office lady, we were given the wrong size storage unit. The unit we did receive was incredibly tall and deep but not very wide, making it a challenge to put anything in. The unit was down a hallway, angled to the right, and had a bar running through the middle that made it impossible to put in anything tall (despite the incredible height of the unit). On the day we moved stuff in to the storage unit, the sewage pipe had backed up so that the whole driveway was covered in poop and bits of tissue paper. The office is closed for COVID, so we tried calling multiple times to make them aware of the situation but got no response. Finally, when trying to cancel my rental after a couple months, it took about a week of calling multiple numbers and completing the contact us survey on the website to get to get confirmation that my card would not be charged again. While the office ladies were kind and I can only imagine are having to face many obstacles due to COVID, this was an overall frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

I would NOT recommend Blue Ravine Storage. I moved out of my unit, gave them verbal notice that I would be out at end of month, and they deny that I notified them. Now, they are saying I have to pay another month, even though I am out of unit. DON'T fall for their manipulation. AND don't sign a contract with them, without READING the fine print. I was NEVER late with a payment, NEVER. They are ruthless, uncaring business. Now they are going to send me to collections, because THEY made a mistake. Their are many other storage places in Folsom and around Folsom, that are honest. read more

Their office is always closed for lunch for long periods of time most days of the week and their gate buttons don't work very well so you have to enter your code in 7000 times in order to get in and out it is pretty inconvenient read more

This self storage provider is excellent. They are available, helpful and dedicated to go the extra mile to meet my personal needs. I had to store my furniture with minimum notice and they provided a unit and streamlined the move so I could get in quickly. Blue Ravine is available during working hours. Bad experience with new Manager. She was only frustrated with us as customers and unprofessional. 1st visit - We went in one day only to have a "friend" filling in for the office. This person was not able to sign us up for a unit or even give customers walking in their balance or any relevant information. 2nd visit - I returned 1/2 hour prior to closing (only time I could make it in with work and kids). I went to fill out paper work so they could write up a lease agreement. Initially I said I had the kids in the car and was hoping to make it quick. I only had one sheet to fill out.....realizing that only took 2 min of my time, I had asked if they could just complete the form and have me sign lease while I was still there with one visit. They said it was time to close and that they needed time to type up the information on the lease, and my wife could come back during her lunch break to complete the following day. 3rd visit - My wife stopped by to sign the lease only to find the office was shut down with no one to be of assistance again. -This has become very unprofessional and my Wife had called and complanined due to poor management and all the visits and phone calls getting us nowhere. (been calling on open unit and checking in since early November , now early December) 4th visit - I came back in the same day with Manager only to be over frustrated. She actually stormed out when she mentioned to be on way to take company lock off the unit we're leasing. We now have the lease, no offer to even go see the unit, so I leave and come back the next day to find that Sani did not even unlock the company lock, so we were not able to use the newly leased unit. I feel this was intentional and very unprofessional. again office had closed sign with no service. Lucky there was a gal around that did take off the lock and was very polite and apologetic, I feel bad for her that is has to be around this poor management. Our unit flooded because of a broken sprinkler. We came and move a lot of our stuff out but left the big stuff behind. Instead of calling us they TESTED the system and flooded our unit again. No notice. They took no ownership in damaging our stuff... WORST PLACE!!! read more

Just finished renting a storage unit for 2 months and never really had any issues. The online payment systems works, which is really critical for sending money and verifying it was sent fast. The hours are a little inconvenient as it closes at 9 PM and I work most hours that it is open. Getting to the entrance of the unit is kind of a pain also because only direction of traffic and one lane is accessible to the palce. Carlene was very friendly and helped with setting up with rental agreement. In the 2 months I rented there were no issues with the unit at all. When I was finished I left them know 10 days ahead and I emptied it in 8. Everything went smoothly on moving out. Thanks! read more

The only reason I gave one star is because it was required if I could have I would have rated this negative stars. I needed the storage unit in time of emergency and I was assured that they would be security and 24 hour surveillance cameras on the units to protect my belongings. Within one month our unit was broken into and a lot of our valuables were stolen. in coincidence the 24 hour surveillance just happened to stop working at the time of the break in and every excuse that was given to us was a ilIogical or clearly a lie. the fbi that dealt with this area said that this happen so often and this was such a normal occurrence they could do nothing about it. So overall I might as well have thrown my belongings in the trash instead of leaving it here to be stolen probably from the owner. read more

Just vacated my storage unit after one year. Never had any problems with the unit, going in or out of the facility, or with payments. Few times I called about something my inquiry was handled very professionally. Good location in Folsom in nice area about 2-3 miles off US50. Easy access for large UHaul trucks but not semis. Moved my furniture into storage for a few months while I looked for a house. I was told the insurance was only for major weather and fire damage so I declined it. I love that they have easy online payments with good customer service. Overall a decent experience. However, when I went to move everything out I found there were rats that had clearly been living there. Ruined my couches and mattress set. When I called them they said that I should have notified them sooner and because I didn't have insurance there was nothing further the would do. She then told me they had been notified of a rodent problem but were only putting traps near the units that had complained. Now they wont respond to my calls or emails. My friend recently got expensive items stolen from her supposed "secure & safe" storage facility as this place claims on their website. The lock was not broken off and management recently move the security camera the opposite way of the units. When my friend reported it to management and said her boxes were all over the place and stuff has been stolen, the manger told her that "it must have been the earthquake that knocked your boxes over" and the they were not responsibility to anything inside the units. And yes "what earthquake?"... He was talking about the Napa quake. My friend is filing a Better Business Bureau claim and a claim thought Small Claims Court. read more

Had a bad experience with this place. I reserved a storage unit over the phone and the person I reserved it with said she was fairly new and asked me to get her the size of the truck. I called the movers and were told that the moving truck was a full size semi but that they would unload and deliver the load in smaller trucks if Blue Ravine couldn't handle the larger truck. I called Blue Ravine Storage back and let them know this so the space would remain reserved. A couple of days before the move, I called back and was told by the same woman that I had cancelled the reservation because the delivery truck was too large. Needless to say, I was not happy and asked her to check if there were still any units available. She said she would check and call back but she did not call back and ignored several subsequent messages I left on their voicemail. I have rarely encountered this level of incompetence and rudeness from any business I've dealt with. read more

Did some shopping around and found Blue Ravine's prices an location excellent. Staff was friendly and willing to show me many units that would suit my needs. I chose a 10x20 for storing my property. On the moving day at the storage facility with the movers. I got an emergency call from a family member saying my brother was in accident . I had to leave and went into the office to explain to the staff the situation. The showed honest concern about my family and told me that if I was comfortable with leaving the movers there. They would hold the keys for me. On my drive to Riverside, I get a call from the movers stating the unit wasn't big enough and that I would need a second unit. I called the office and spoke to Jesse and told him my predicament, and he told me not to worry that he would see what was needed and have them store the stuff in a small unit till i could get back to town on Monday. I today's society, customers service is a hard thing to find. The staff went out of their way to help me and I won't soon forget it. If you're look for storage give them a call, I know I'll recommend them after this. read more
