One plate Chicken Fried Steak, one plate therest
    Mike W.

Our annual trip to Emmett would not be complete without a stop at the Blue Ribbon. Chicken Fried Steak covers one plate while the eggs, red taters and toast covered the second, thick gravy Mmmmm Mmm Good Stuff. The wife enjoyed the Breakfast Bowl too. Hopefully we get back this week, I know we will return the next time we are in town.

    Tuscan Alfredo Pasta

The service was great. We enjoyed our dinner here. The Tuscan Alfredo was good and the triple club was okay. Had a fun diner feel, but lots of flies in late August.

Huckleberry pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs.

I was in town for my high school class reunion. I won't say how long it's been, let's just say it's been more than 10 years. One of my classmates' family ran a drive-in at this location for many years. A later owner reconfigured the building and made it a sit-down diner. We came in for breakfast and I ordered the huckleberry pancakes, which came with bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything tasted good and the food came out in good time. The staff was friendly and we saw several people we knew who still live in Emmett. Great visit.

    Buffalo chili dog.

Great little dinner that serves alcohol. The best Chili Hotdog I've tasted, made with Buffalo. The pulled pork sandwich was good! You could taste the pulled pork, and the bacon baked beans complimeted the totts and sandwich.

The food here was really good. Large portions, came out hot, quick and with a smile! Would recommend trying it out even if it's a bit of a drive for you!

This little gem has amazing food! And amazing service! From what I understand they make everything from scratch which is amazing! So glad that I came to Emmett to pick up some milk :-) I will be back definitely! LOL

    Chicken strip dinner

Was out in Emmett and decided to stop in for dinner. Had chicken strip dinner and French dip sandwich. Portions were good. Decent price. Food was a little on the bland side. Service was slow and not very attentive.

The food was great, I had spaghetti. The waitress checked several times to see if we needed anything else.

Cattlemen's is it. How so? I took my wife there a couple of weeks ago and, when we returned this week, the waitress told us we could sit anywhere and when she came over with coffee, she remembered that we sat at the same table the last time. Not only that but when she asked what we were doing that day and we told her she remembered what we had told her a week and a half earlier. : 0 And the food. Their biscuits are the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Not only are they massive but they are flaky and moist (not the dry hockey pucks you get at other places). And their gravy is flavorful and a perfect pairing. Unlike the pasty mess at other places that will remain nameless. the eggs are perfectly cooked, the sign of a great cook, and the variety is sure to please anyone in your group. If you want a breakfast place that is like being in mom's kitchen but better, you need to get to Cattlemen's. You won't regret it.

From the no-frills motif, hilarious signs that blanket each wall and friendly service...there's so much to love. We were immediately seated on a busy Saturday morning for breakfast in a 1970s throwback booth with laminated wood. It was comfortable and comforting, such a nice way to start our visit. We had plenty of time to scour the menu, chock full of everything a breakfast yearning heart desires from homemade waffles, omelets, pancakes, biscuits with gravy...you name it. I ordered the Denver omelet, substituted the ham for sausage, with home fries and an English muffin. Hubby got two pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. Food came a lot quicker than expected; it was a nice surprise considering how busy it was. The omelet had the most sausage I've ever seen in an omelet...no skimping here! It was loaded with onions, cheese, and green peppers as well. Everything was cooked well, though a tad under seasoned. A quick fix was adding extra pepper, ketchup and an occasional dab of Cholula. The English muffin was toasted to perfection with the right amount of butter. Delicious. My husband loved his pancakes...huge, with crispy edges and soft, fluffy middles. Honestly, some of the best pancakes I've had in the valley since I've been here. Served with warm syrup too...yes please!!!! Service was extremely friendly and prompt. Excellent visit!

This joint has been on my to go list so today was the perfect day too try it out! It was about 1 when we made our way there and we were hoping that the breakfast/brunch rush had kind of slowed down. There was a table ahead of us. My husband and I decided to sit at the bar since therewere a couple spots open. We wanted to save the table for a family that needed more room. And we actually like sitting at the bar. We sat ourselves and kinda of waited for sone service. It was very busy still so it took a minute for someone to help us. No problem, my husband and I just chilled till someone got to us. We finally got coffee and juice started while we were looking over the menu. The gal that got my coffee was sweet. She got me fresh creamer and sweetner packets so I didn't have to use the communal packets. I appreciate how understanding she was about my requests and my want to protect my new kidney. The menu has a lot of options which was great! Everything sounded tasty since we were so hungry! My husband grabbed the 2 biscuits and gravy meal with 2 eggs. I got the Tomlet with some spinach added without the hashbrowns and toast. Our food came out fast and hot! It all looked so good. My omelet had hamburger, olives, onions, cheese, jalapenos and fresh spinach. It was just what I wanted! I added sour cream and salsa to that baby, it was so good! My husband's biscuits and gravy were massive! The best homemade biscuits and gravy we ever had came from a gas station in Athens, Ga. These biscuits and gravy were busy as good! They are the best we have had in town! The biscuits were fluffy and airy, not too dense. The gravy was savory and rich. I don't know what kind of sausage they used but it was really good! Sausage gravy is a 50/50 for us but this gravy was killer! Everything was so fantastic! We ate every bite of our food and didn't regret it one bit! I appreciate the small, hometown feel of this restaurant. Servers knowing their guests by their first names. The prices were reasonable. The coffee was hot and my cup was always filled. The food was killer good! Our service was great. This joint is a little further than our normal brunch joints but they are so worth the drive! I look foward to coming back and having another great meal! And having one of them massive cinnamon rolls will be a must as well!

The service was amazing from the time we walked in the door- we were seated right away, our server was so sweet and attentive. Honestly though, the pancakes are a must if you go. Hands down some of the best pancakes we have ever had. We tried the cinnamon roll, which was okay, but not near as good as the pancakes- my son got the country fried steak, which had a generous portion and he really enjoyed it, and I got the breakfast burrito, which was delicious and big (I took half home). If you are nearby, definitely check them out. They have a big menu. Including lunch, and the price point is amazing. Overall we were super happy with everything and know we will be going back.
