Cute place but nothing to rave about. The service was average (very European type of vibe), but the food and coffee...applause. My coffee was perfection and my sandwich looked like it came from a commercial and was prepared by a food artist. It was delicious and the ingredients were fresh, crisp and absolutely top notch. HIGHLY recommended.

The sunflower is amazing! I had the avocado toast. I was extremely impressed. The portion was a good size. I was able to slit it with my husband. It was fresh and the bread was sour dough. The flavors were amazing. We had coffee and I can say it was truly delicious coffee. I had cappuccino and my husband had Americano. We both love good coffee and the sunflower delivered very good coffee. The service was very good. We didn't have to wait long. The place was so inviting the soft music was so relaxing it made me want to linger and not hurry. The place was tastefully decorated and relaxing. I am looking forward to going back. Thank you sunflower Bakery and cafe for making our experience special.

Hubby and I tried out this place and we really liked it! Tried the chicken and pork pelmeni, breakfast croissant, blueberry muffin, kiev cake, and mocha. Food and coffee were pretty good, kiev cake is a little sweeter than I'd like. We'll come back to try other things!

Such an adorable little spot tucked away near the Winco and DMV in Meridian. Even better, super clean and friendly service from the counter to the delivering of food. One gal from the Ukraine, the gal serving our food is from Russia and she joked the other gal from Poland and it's "very international" here. Then the food! The whole thing about eating with your eyes first, applies here! Our order arrived quickly on quaint wooden plates and the food looked fresh and tasted accordingly with a good amount of pesto and melted cheese on the Chicken Pesto sandwich. My lunch mate loved the Chicken Croissant Sandwich with just the right amount of garlic aoli and avocado... and the croissant was very flaky. Just wanting to support such a good place, we tried the Napoleon that truly melted in our mouths. Excited to try the Borsch, Pelmeni and Pierogies! Will be back!

    Nutella strawberry banana crepe

First of all, the name brought me in the door! I love sunflowers! I thought I would grab a pastry and leave, but their simple menu begged me to stay! My daughters and I ordered a Nutella, strawberry, banana crepe to share. We weren't actually very hungry, it was late afternoon before dinner. We devoured it. It was absolutely delicious. The coffee/tea selection was great. Because we stayed, the drinks were served in mugs, which felt very classy. I will definitely be returning to this quaint little cafe.

If I could rate it 10 stars I would! Ambiance is warm and cute. Staff is friendly and helpful and you can tell they take great pride in their work of serving you. It's my go-to place which is halfway between Boise and Nampa where I can meet up with friends. I go at least once a week. Oh and did I mention the coffee, food and pastries are delicious?

Delicious sandwiches and cakes. We will go back soon to try their pierogies. Great service. They have nice tables inside and outside.

We visited on a brisk fall Saturday morning.  This little place is tucked into the back of a strip mall. Since it was early and a bit cooler, it was cool in the restaurant; especially with the frequent opening of the door. This is a counter service restaurant with the very kind and helpful staff bringing your food and drink. I ordered the salmon toast, an espresso and almond croissant. There is a serious lack of lox & bagels in the TV, and this salmon toast did not disappoint.  The bread was not toasted but was homemade and hearty.  The cream cheese spread was lighter than most which I loved.  The smoked salmon was delicious but not overly salty. I loved the addition of arugula and pickled onions along with briny capers and fresh tomatoes to complete this dish. The presentation was beautiful, and a hard-boiled egg was served alongside.  My espresso was perfectly balanced.  All the pastries looked delicious, and there was a steady stream of customers taking out pastries.  I tried the almond croissant, which was plenty flaky with a delicious natural tasting almond filling. The croissant itself was crunchy and light and didn't taste greasy.  The staff were wonderful and checked on us and asked how we liked it.  I thought the pricing was more than fair. You can tell all food is made with love and is their passion.  We will be back to try more things.  I would love to buy a loaf of bread and a bag of their homemade pelmeni (russian dumplings). Wonderful addition for breakfast or light lunch.

There always seem to be quite a few flying around, and sometimes you feel like you have to fight them for your food. LOL! I really wish they could find a way to get that under control because it definitely takes away from the dining experience. Other than that, we enjoy coming here. My wife and I went to Moe Joe's for breakfast recently and man was it good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and was stunned at the amount of food. Where to start. The steak was incredibly tender and enormous. The homemade biscuit was flaky and perfectly baked. The sausage gravy was meaty and flavorful. And the crispy hashbrowns seemed to cover half the plate. Then there are the house-made jellies. Who does that and how can I get more! The service was prompt and friendly with a great wait staff that made everything easy. The vibe of the restaurant is "friendly neighborhood spot" and feels like home. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. These folks know how to do breakfast right and I cannot wait to go back.

This proved to be the best breakfast experience we've had in years. Before you question this - we'll start with the service. Our server was cheerful, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to speak with. She listened to my friend, who wanted a fancy coffee, and made him a s'mores coffee that wasn't too sweet but very flavorful. My friend ordered an omelette, which was outstanding on its own. But it didn't come close to being on the same level as the breakfast enchiladas. The red sauce was flavorful and paired so well with the cheese and egg filling. And the hash browns are coarsely grated fresh potatoes with the perfect crust. Honestly, I was a little sad when the meal was over. I'm sure everything on the menu is great - but do yourself a favor and get the breakfast enchiladas. You will not be disappointed. It's probably a good thing we don't live nearby - or I'd need a gym membership because I'd be eating here at least 3x a week.

Now, I'll give credit where it's due--the service was lovely. Bless those workers. But then they sat us at a table covered in onions! ONIONS! There were onions all over the table, and to top it off, my chair was sprinkled with onions too. I came for breakfast, not to marinate like a pot roast. Needless to say, not a breakfast place I'd choose again.

I'd call ahead and get your name on the list as it's quite popular and lots of people eat here. So, we had a group of four. The chicken fried steak was very good with gravy and huge portion. (I mean, some of it is greasy and the syrup is gloopy and a bit nasty-- it's better if it's warm-- but overall the food is good). So before I tell you the BIG issue at Joe Momma's, let me first set the scene. JM's looks like a misty mountain cabin come to life. River rock and pinecone and foliage lanterns greet you as you walk up ... log walls and a massive stone fireplace whisper of times gone by as you enter, and hens adorn the dark wood walls. You could easily picture the Fellowship of the Ring sitting in a booth across from you. It's truly charming. So what's the problem with Joe Momma's? The music! It's AWFUL and completely bizarre given the atmosphere of the restaurant. But hey, if blasted mid-2000's Rihanna and Katy Perry songs on a loop (we counted more than 4) is your idea of a good time at 8:30am on a Saturday morning in a log cabin, then you'll love it. I have a feeling Samwise and Frodo would not though and neither did we. The music is loud, very loud. And sounds more like an LA radio station playing Pop's Top Hits from 19 years ago. Which would be okay, I guess, if the energy of the restaurant matched it-- you know, modern architecture, crisp lines, sleek furniture and color design-- think Snooze in Scottsdale, Az which is basically a breakfast night club. But alas, Joe Momma's is beloved because of the misty mountain feel. The upscale Cracker Barrel vibe. The charming, rustic beauty. And the abrasive, bad pop music ruins the whole thing. It's is truly so freaking weird! Maybe they could keep the Pop for the lunch rush, but PLEASE Joe Momma's, for the love of Frodo, leave breakfast alone and come up with a playlist that matches your beloved establishment!!

This Griddle is located at McMillan and 10 Mile, in the same shopping center as The Broken Yolk. Tucked in the corner, it has lots of windows, providing a nice view of trees and grass from the inside. There is also an outdoor patio that looked inviting. The inside is much the same as the other locations. High ceiling, a mixture of booths around the perimeter and tables on the main floor. There is counter seating as well. I'm not sure about the other locations, but this Griddle has the sound dampener squares in the ceiling that, in my opinion, probably keep the noise level down and make it easier to talk. This morning, Thursday, it was seat yourself. We chose a booth toward the back. Our server, Valeria, was excellent. She kept our water glasses filled and a warm up of my coffee before it got below 3/4. She was nice and attentive. A great server. My wife had eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast. I had the Veggie Lovers omelet, hashbrowns, and toast. My wife enjoyed her entree, and I tried the maple sausage and it was tasty. We both ordered our hashbrowns crispy, and the top was nice and brown. My omelet was just OK for me. a few artichoke hearts on top, with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes inside. The onions were chopped into fairly large chunks, which I don't really care for. I felt it lacked flavor, despite me salting it, twice, and putting salsa on top (not spicy). They give you one piece of toast, which I actually like, because I don't need to eat too much bread. I don't think I'd order that omelet again. All in all, my first visit to this Griddle was very nice and we will certainly be back.
