The waitress was very kind. But they had issues with the side of soup so we had to resort to a side house salad, which was definitely made with hidden valley ranch and was subpar. The pasta was most likely made with store bought sauce as well and a breadstick that I'd assume was frozen. I was very surprised with the other reviews here rating it so well, I'd assume that was more for the donuts/bakery because the dining experience was really not great. Honestly I don't usually leave reviews but I felt that this experience was worth sharing in hopes of helping anyone interested in dining here.

Half plate of pasta- half chicken alfredo half marina with chicken, served with a single breadstick, and topped with parmesan

I appreciated the creative flavors in the macarons, & though I didn't personally care for all the flavors... they were all fun to try & made it fun to have a "tasting adventure" later at home. The creativity here is think this would be a great place to pre order macarons etc to go with afternoon tea. Invite those friends over & make it a fun night in!

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!

I had stopped into Scottie's donut in Meridian a couple weeks ago. I was amazed at how good their…read moredonuts were. And how big their apple fritters are. It was only right to stop into their Nampa location on my way to my Doctor's appointment. I needed a sweet treat before I got my shot. The venue is very big and bright. They had all their donut options out on display behind the shiny glass. They all looked wonderful! I have tried a few of their donuts so I had to try something different today. As tempting and classic the chocolate glazed donut looked, I was talked into the Smores donut. The Resses's and Oreo specialty donut was killer so I had high hopes for the Smores. I almost missed the speciality donuts on the very top of the rack. I'm so short and the display was so tall. I'm happy the gal behind the counter pointed them out. I had some time to kill and wanted to enjoy my donut at the shop. So, I got an iced americano with sugar free salted caramel and chocolate syrup. You gotta have coffee with a donut. The sweet gal made my drink and left room for some cream. I added the amount of half and half that I normally do and wanted to test it out before I added any needed sweetner. I honestly didn't taste any of the flavors so the sweet gal added a little bit more for me. I did end up adding a packet of sweetner. The espresso was really strong and the half and half only helped so much. It ended up being an ok drink. I sat by all the nicely colored donuts that were colored by some patrons. It was fun seeing all the variety of people's coloring skills. What a neat way to make your mark at this cute local donut shop. I took my Smores donut out and was so excited to try it out. My first initial bite was good but something was off. As I tried a couple more bites, I noticed that the donut tasted stale. It was not soft in the middle but a little dry. The marshmallow that was toasted, icing and little Hershey's bar was on point but the donut itself was a let down. The other speciality donuts I got last time were eaten later that night so they had been sitting for a few hours and honestly they were still good. This donut didn't have the same texture. I ate about half and called it good. The donut shop is very cute. I adore the decor and vibe of the shop. The gals working today were very sweet. I am happy I got to stop into this local donut shop for a mid morning treat. I can say that I got another donut knocked off my list but I have many more to try. Looking forward to coming back either here or the Meridian location for my next donut.

The display cases had a great variety so I know sticking to my plan was going to be challenging. Grabbing a couple things and go sure was hard! They had some specialty donuts on display and man did they look killer! I didn't know what they were specifically but they looked delicious! All of them nicely decorated and garnished. But, with much restraint, I got a big apple fritter for my husband and some donut holes for the grandmas. My mom didn't let me grandma have any donut holes so I had to take one for the team and enjoy them for her. They were so good! They were soft and tasty. Every donut hole was nicely glazed. It's amazing you can polish off 7 donut holes and not realize that you had that many. They are so dainty that you don't realize how fast you're eating them. Each one was great! The gal that worked today was really sweet. I did take a bite of my husband's apple fritter and it was tasty as well! My husband also enjoyed it. My other grandma enjoyed her donut holes. She too didn't have a beard time eating 7 of them. I'm happy I stopped in today. Looking forward to coming back and grabbing more treats real soon.

The opening lyric of a England Dan & John Ford Coley tune…read morepopped into my head as my husband and I entered Mojo's this morning to get an Americano and a donut to share at a place where we could hear each other to talk about something important. The service (thanks to Riggen) was as sparkling as the donut case and interior of the shop is clean and although we planned to share a donut, we found much to our surprise that they make cinnamon rolls too. Have they always and we just didn't notice? Regardless, today one of those was our choice. My 100% Italian heritage husband who grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn never has quite warmed up to cinnamon rolls, a staple of my WASP Portland-Seattle upbringing so it is usual that if we order one to share then I will get the lion's share. But as we sipped our Americano's and enjoyed this one, I nearly had to stab his hand with my plastic fork to keep him from eating some of my half. Another great surprise on this visit was their donut holes, offered in a bag and little clear container, made with their sour cream cake donut batter! Samples were offered on the counter and SO good that I thought about picking up a container before we left but a woman came in while we were eating and sipping, tasted the sample and bought the bag and every one of the six or seven containers of them to take away with her. Yes, they are that good. Other details in my previous review comments from 2023. If you want donuts, cinnamon rolls, expertly made hot Americano and with warm service in a sparkling space playing of-the-day FM music at the just right level to know it is there but no so much as to compete with conversation this is the place. PS - ice cream by the scoop or pint or in milkshakes available too.

Honestly, at that moment in time, I wasn't even excited for the fritters after having such a dry donut the day before. I asked for 1 fritter to be in a box and the other 3 to be in another. The gal that helped me the day before opened the window, didn't greet me, stared at me which was an awkward interaction. I told her I was there to pick up my fritters and her response was "I know". Yes, you know but I didn't know if you remembered..... A sweet gal popped up with my boxes. Explained to me which box was what and sent me on my way. I got my goods and made my way home. When I was picking up the boxes, I noticed the warmth of the box and the weight. I can tell these were going to be heavy weight fritters. Opening the box, this baby was huge! Perfectly glazed from top to bottom. My husband took his first bite. He was very happy with the fritter. I took a chunk and was very delighted at how sweet, crunchy and delicious this fritter was. The middle was soft and airy. The exterior of the fritter was crispy and crunchy even though there was a glaze over it. The cinnamon and apple chunks were in every bite. It was a fantastic apple fritter! My husband was greedy and ate a majority of it. I'm happy I got a nice chunk of it to try out. The donut and fritter was night and day. I'm happy that I got to experience the hype of the apple fritter that everyone had raved about! Believe the hype! The apple fritters here were money. If I could do half stars, this visit would have been 4.5 but it's going to be a 4. My first initial interaction with the first gal wasn't the best. You deal with a ton of different people everyday, how was I to know you knew what I was there for if you don't say anything to me? A simple "we are grabbing your fritters" would have been cool but I got stared at. I'm assuming the gal that gave me my order was the person in charge. Professional, sweet and great line of communication. I don't know when I'll be back for another round of goodies but if someone asks where they could get some fabulous fritters, I'll be suggesting this joint for sure.
