This local business has been really good to me. I have been coming here for more than 5 years and I have no complaints. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They usually can get your clothes cleaned in two days or less. They also offer alterations but I have never tried that service. Poor customer service. Dropped off two shirts with french cuffs, requested rolled cuffs, clearly explained my request. I was told ready today after 5:00pm. At 5:18, they can't find my shirts,finally find them, and they are not bagged, and both shirts had the cuffs pressed flat. No empathy, no apology, no nothing. Dry cleaners overcharge. Shirts and pants are dry cleaned at their discretion even if you didn't ask them to. When confronted with ripping off and inflating their prices, the said "we follow care instructions." I then looked at the clothing care instructions, and they didn't say dryclean only. Yesterday picked up a pair of Land's End khaki pants that I dropped off to be dry cleaned at the Blue-Ribbon Dry Cleaner, Capital Circle location. When I attempted to wear these pants this morning, it became apparent to me that the pants have significantly shrunk in both length and fit to the point that they are not wearable. I do not understand how this could occur. The reason behind taking these pants to be dry cleaned rather than machine washed was to avoid this very issue. I just paid $10 for this establishment to ruin a $70 pair of pants. This is my first-time doing business with this establishment; chosen simply because the location is convenient to my route to and from work. This result is unacceptable. read more

When I was working, this cleaners was a prime choice because I could stop in either on the way to work in the morning or on the way home in the afternoon. Now that I am retired, I still drive across town to them because I am a firm believer that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have always received excellent service here and the prices are comparable to others in town. There is no such thing as a perfect cleaners but these folks do a pretty good job. Worst place ever. The manager (apparently the owner) was so rude he said that he should not have to fix a manufacturer error that my dress had it wasn't his fault that it unstitched the ribbon in the machine he put it in. What an ass!!! He was like would you complain to the washing machine company if your washer did this? this was the OWNER!!! Second time they ruined a one of a kind article of clothing!!!!!!! He blamed the machine tearing the bow off the dress on the manufacturing he told me "it is a stupid dress and to get over it." This was a $11 bill for one article that is now ruined. I called back later and he said I should just get my "mommy" to fix it and to tell all my friends because he "doesn't need our business anyway." I took some of my best shirts to get dry cleaned. I addressed the stains when I first got there. When I got my clothes back (they had them ready when they said they were) I checked them and only 2 of the 5 stains I addressed were removed. One shirt had new stains that weren't even there to begin with. Don't recommend at all. Not good quality of work like they say they do. Really expensive for b. Don't waste your money. read more

I went to Blue Ribbon cleaners to have some clothes dry cleaned well most of my items were fine, however l had a Multicolored Polo shirt that was received and discolored by the dry cleaner. When trying to rectify the issue l was advised that the shirt had discoloration when it was delivered to the cleaners and that information was associated with my ticket. When picking up my items there was nothing on the ticket to indicate discoloration on my shirt, l bought that to the attention of the manager and requested reimbursement for the damage to my shirt the cleaners did not want to pay for the damaged shirt they only wanted to pay for the cost of the cleaning. I am a very disappointed and l will not use their services again. Also after researching l found out that there's other customers that had complaints about clothing not being cleaned properly and clothing returned to customers damaged that was initially not damaged when items were bought in. My issue has not been rectified and l think the manager is unprofessional and they have someone that is not responsible and may need additional training on how to properly dry clean clothes without damaging items. read more

Horrible service, I warn you people do not bring your clothes there. Not only do they overcharge for their services, but they also ruin my entire clothes. It seems like they washed the clothes with other people's clothes that have a dog. I came in to pick up my clothes the guy give me half of them when I say there are more clothes he says there is no more, I give him the receipt this is when he goes back to search for my other clothes. When he came back he charge me almost $ 300 for 18 peaches of clothing I was shocked that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever encountered in my life. ***DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY***I just left blue ribbon cleaners and I will not do business with them ever again!! I dropped off a pair of shorts on Wednesday morning, return that evening to pickup and noticed one button broke, one split in half on pockets. College guy I spoke with about fixing the buttons was unprofessional and even told me the request to have him write on ticket what's being done at no charge was so elementary. I told him to damage someone garment and try to hide it is unprofessional. Spoke with manager/owner Mike today and he is very rude and unprofessional to his customers also. Says they dont have the buttons in store to fix the shorts, offer $10 to go somewhere else to fix(I paid $7.50 to have dry cleaned). Mike told me the college guy from yesterday is his nephew, I advised him his nephew was rude and Mike said he is going to believe his nephew word over mine. Mike even told me to go try my luck at another business. His entire phone conversation was unprofessional to me and he act like I'm the bad guy. I told him I will come get shorts and I will take my business somewhere else. Of course when I got there, they said Mike had stepped out. Hmm, how convenient? I was a customer of Blue Ribbon on Lafayette for about 8 years and stopped going to them because they lost several pieces of clothing and ruined two of my husband's dress shirts. After not going to them for 5 years I went ahead and tried them again about three months ago. After just two visits they have lost a skirt to a business suit and when questioned acted like it's my fault and rudely said I needed to look in my closet and my car. I even asked the person when I dropped off the clothes for a claim ticket and she said "you don't need one because your name is on your dry cleaning bag." This is exactly how clothes get lost. I will never, ever go to them again. In fact, I'm quite sure I'm going to have to file a complaint to get my skirt suit replaced. I don't know how they stay in business. read more

Dropped off two fur items to get dry cleaned, left them there for a week because I was traveling. When I went to pick them up, they informed me they did not clean them because they were concerned the "colors would run." So they handed them back to me uncleaned with no explanation as to why they didn't call me to inform me they weren't going to be able to clean them so I could have made other arrangements. Makes no sense because I even waited when I dropped the items off for them to check the tags to ensure they could clean them. Luckily, I had an extra day between when I picked them up & when I needed to wear them and another place was able to get it done. Super unprofessional. They lost a dress of mine and tried to claim that I had already picked it up, but I showed them the receipt they gave me when I dropped it off which clearly indicated that I had not come yet to get the dress. This was the last straw for me! I had already been dissatisfied with the customer service and the fact that my clothes always came back smelling like glue. I owned this dress 6 weeks, wore it 3 times and then it was ruined by Blue Ribbon Cleaners. The owner, Mr. Wallenfelsz, was extremely rude and accused me of having an attitude. Well, um, yes I am angry because he ruined a brand new dress and HE had the attitude. This man actually walked away from me and tried to hide in the back of the store rather than try to MEND the relationship with an angry customer. Such a coward. Went here several times before and had no problems with my shirts being cleaned. The last visit to the store, however, I noticed that my shirt was almost as if I dropped off and picked it up. I pointed the concern about the shirt being dirty to the manager. I asked to speak with the store owner. He was unavailable, but I did receive his phone number. I called him and left a message. He called me back and left a message. After a couple of days, I went to the store to pick-up the shirts that had to be cleaned again. I decided to speak with Mike in person. This guy was so "rude." Second go-around with this place. Shrunk three pair of pants and scorched the thighs on all three pair. Could even see the scorch marks. Took in a list with the items, where and what the stain was on each item. I was told that they wouldn't look at the list, she would just tell them. Really, all 8 items? You can remember all that? Then the manager/owner came out when she went into the office to tell him about shrinking my pants. He went behind the counter and demonstrated what machine they used to press pants and then stuck a iron face- plate in my face and told me this is what they use to press pants. Yep, it matched up with the scorch marks. Extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of other customers and employees. Yes Mike, you did re-stretch all three pair of my pants and I even talked with you on the phone on about it. So don't tell me there is no way your business could have done that to my pants.
