Every entree had exact same sides, including mashed potatoes the size of your head.

Came in with low expectations: we've been living in the High Desert since Obama was elected; we know what's what up here, lol. Been sitting here 40 minutes without food. We're the only table aside from the waitress' friends/family? How long does it take to make a salad? What, are they growing the lettuce? Baking the bread for croutons? The waitress was pleasant, though she spent the entire time sitting at another table talking to her peeps and being on her phone. Update: 5 minutes after posting this review, the salad and entrees arrived at the same time (wtf?). Both entrees (chicken mushroom, rosemary salmon) had exact same sides: 2 baby carrots, some zucchini, and 5 pounds of mashed potatoes. Per plate. The salmon, which we asked for undercooked because we know how they tend to cook fish too long, was overcooked anyway. Sauce was okay, though. The chicken was dry and the sauce was sweet. For 20 bucks a dish I'd rather have gone down the hill to Cheesecake Factory. Salad was boring and the breaded poached egg was hard, cold, and not runny, like it had been sitting there for who knows how long before someone thought to serve it to us. The one EV plug out front was taken up the entire time we were here. 2 Tesla spots untouched the whole time.

I came for lunch time. The place is sheik and I adore the decor. Since it's still a new spot, there were no other customers, but how do you complain about quiet? The service was great!, and the ladies were both friendly and attentive. The food was good, although, a bit dry. Which is why I'm giving a 4 star rating. The portion size is fair amount for the price. Overall, nice atmosphere and I will return.

We ordered salmon salad and a avocado, bacon burger. Asked the burger to be cooked medium. Waited a while to get the food. The burger came out well done. There were couple of large table. Pretty noisy. For a hotel restaurant, the quality as so so. It was convenient since we were staying at the hotel. Too tired to drive elsewhere.

Hello everyone. If you like hot wings and want to try the best, I have ever tasted and I have eaten hot wings from dozen of places. Come here, happy hour you get 5 big wings, some celery and blue cheese dipping sauce for 4 bucks. Just the right combination of hot and flavoring and they are so juice and tender they just fall apart as you eat them. Also tried the Margherita pizza with white sauce it was good. But the wings awesome! The waitress was really nice, attentive, friendly, and joking around. Was in the bar and was pretty quiet a few people in suits and a handful of people at the bar. So if you like good food in a quiet environment, this place fits the bill.

Pros: new, modern, good recipes, and booze Cons: small place, and LA prices This place just had its grand opening a few months ago, and it looks very modern. Everything looks new but a lot of the tables had a wobble to them. This place is in the actual Holiday Inn hotel. Use the main entrance and head towards the right. The pictures make this place look a lot bigger than it actually is. I'd be surprised if they could seat more than 75. They put a lot of care in plating the food, it has a nice presentation. Had the frys, they look, taste, and smell like they were cooked with onion ring batter. They have mixed drinks and beer here too.

I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! When people talk about great restaurants, they often mention fancy places with tiny portions,…read moreexpensive prices, and menus written in words no one can pronounce. But sometimes, the best food in the world doesn't come from a celebrity chef or a five-star building. Sometimes, it comes from a place that feels warm, familiar, and welcoming the moment you step inside. Down Home Grill is one of those places. It may not look like a luxury restaurant from the outside, but everything about it--its atmosphere, its food, its people, and the experience it gives customers--makes it stand out above anywhere else. For many people, including me, Down Home Grill isn't just a restaurant; it's a place that feels like home. That's why it deserves the title of the best restaurant in the world. One of the biggest reasons Down Home Grill is unmatched is the atmosphere it creates. From the second you walk in, you feel like you're entering a place where you belong. Unlike restaurants that try to impress you with overly fancy decorations, Down Home Grill uses simple familiarity to make you feel comfortable. The lighting is warm rather than harsh, the booths and tables feel sturdy and lived-in, and the walls might be decorated with local photos or old signs that bring a sense of history. There's always a low, friendly buzz of conversation, the clinking of silverware, and maybe a radio playing songs that everyone somehow knows. It feels like you've stepped into a living room for the whole community. Whether you're coming in with family, visiting with friends, or even going in alone, it always feels like there's a place for you. Not every restaurant is able to create that sense of belonging, but Down Home Grill does it effortlessly, and that's the first thing that sets it apart from the rest. Of course, atmosphere alone isn't enough to make a restaurant the best in the world. The food has to deliver--and at Down Home Grill, the food doesn't just deliver, it exceeds expectations every time. The dishes are built on recipes that taste like they've been perfected over decades. You don't get frozen, reheated meals or plates that look good but lack flavor. Everything tastes real and comforting. The pancakes are fluffy, the burgers are juicy, the sides are seasoned perfectly, and even simple items like toast or hash browns come out tasting like someone took actual care in making them. Down Home Grill specializes in the kind of food people don't just eat--they remember. It's the kind of cooking where every bite feels like a reminder of something familiar, even if you're trying it for the first time. And unlike many restaurants where quality changes depending on who's in the kitchen, Down Home Grill is consistent. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, the food always has the same homemade, comforting taste. Another thing that makes Down Home Grill exceptional is the variety it offers. It's not a restaurant that tries to overextend itself with a giant menu full of dishes no one orders, but it absolutely knows how to offer something for everyone. Whether you want a classic breakfast, a hearty lunch, or a satisfying dinner, there's always a dependable option waiting. Kids, adults, picky eaters, and adventurous eaters can all find something they'll enjoy. And everything feels balanced--nothing is too greasy, too bland, or too over-the-top. It's the kind of food that leaves you full in the best way, not uncomfortably stuffed or disappointed. Many restaurants struggle to get this balance right, but Down Home Grill handles it perfectly. But even great food and great atmosphere aren't enough to make a restaurant truly legendary. What makes Down Home Grill stand out even more is the people who work there. The service isn't just fast or efficient; it's genuinely kind. The staff treat customers like actual human beings instead of table numbers. They ask how your day is going, they remember regulars' usual orders, and they treat everyone with respect, no matter how busy the restaurant gets. Good service is something many restaurants claim to have, but at Down Home Grill, you don't just receive service--you experience hospitality. There's a difference between someone doing their job and someone making you feel cared for, and the employees at Down Home Grill understand that difference. They play a huge role in making every visit memorable. Another important reason Down Home Grill deserves the title of best restaurant in the world is its affordability. Great food doesn't have to empty your wallet, and this place proves that. While many restaurants charge extremely high prices for food that doesn't necessarily taste better, Down Home Grill keeps its prices fair. Families can go out to eat without stressing over the bill, and people who might not be able to afford expensive restaurants can still enjoy an incredible meal. Being affordable doesn't mean the restaurant lowers its quality; instead, it shows that they care.

We could not finish the cinnamon roll because the omelette was so good and hot. The cinnamon roll was not my style, a little on the dry side, and I prefer it without the whole pecans (or walnuts)?
