Went for the boil in a bag. It was busy when we arrived. Wait time was less than 5 to be seated, less than 10 to get drinks and our order. Our server Cindy, was SUPER sweet and prompt. The ambiance was casual, with handicap accessibility and TVs. There was also a full service bar . Unfortunately because we came during dinner rush it took 40 minutes to get our order. But hold the phone! The flavor , when I tell you the flavor was absolutely amazing in my bag boil, the words I'm typing are not enough! You simply MUST taste them for yourself. I got 1lb of peeled shrimp with 2 boiled eggs with steamed rice to the side, not heat just 'Roy's Bomb Sauce' (which is striking familiar to some other Louisiana style seafood place ). My son got 1/2 pound shrimp, 1/2 pound sausage, with garlic bread and he went right in the middle with heat level. Food was amazing, service (even during dinner rush) was amazing! Great place for crab and lobster. Took my friend there for her birthday. She had the lobster broil and I had the snow crab broil. I really liked the crab...1lb (3 clusters) potatoes and corn. I ordered it plain no sauce, no spice and had butter on the side. Crab succulent and juicy with good flavor, potatoes cooked perfectly for me (soft but not mushy), added salt and better. Corn on the cob - meh but typical of boils. My friend had the lobster and she really liked it but said it was a bit over done. She got hers plain too with butter on the side. We were given beignets with chocolate sauce and whipped cream for her birthday! Very tasty, a little crunch on the outside but soft and yummy on the inside. They have a great choice of sauces and spices. Lots of other food on the menu too. Chicken wings are good (husband source), fries, etc. They have combined with the pizza place so you have that option too!! Ambience is casual and relaxed. Tables and chairs are casual style too. Beautiful view of the golf course and lots of history and great old time pictures in the halls. We love to support local owned businesses so give it a try. This was my second visit in one week! first visit was great, food and service is why I went back. Second visit not so good, my husband and I arrived we took a seat, never greeted, don't think it's that type of restaurant (and that's okay) shrimp is good if you get some. 15 min later, we are still waiting on someone to come to our table or someone at the very least to acknowledge us. The server might also be the cook because I barely saw anyone, not even a bartender, this was a Friday afternoon, tables were occupied. Unfortunately we got up and left. The food was really good. Shrimp was firm and sweet. Crab was meaty. Potatoes were perfectly cooked. Nice open space. Very cool inside which is important on a 100 degree day! Finally tried Roy's Crab Shack in Apple Valley. It's located at the Golf Course. We tried the Shrimp Boil and a 4 Meat Pizza and they were both delicious. The quality of the shrimp was not okay. The customer service was good. Cj was an amazing host/server. He apologized and made accommodations for my husband's food coming out over 30 minutes before mine and my daughters. The ambiance is the golf course so the view was amazing. read more

The Pizza is amazing! Love they have a little something for everyone. I love seafood, but not everyone does so it helps that they have so many amazing choices. The Snow Crab is sweet and the sauces ate delish. I am not a heat person so I do the, "no thank." This was my first Seafood Boil and I was not disappointed! I got my bag filled with peeled shrimp, lobster, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob. Just with garlic! Then I just had to try the coleslaw! Everything was soooo yummy and nice size portions! I was there with a group of friends. Seating had nice spacing and you could be with your group not feeling like you were part of another... Nice! Big place with lots of groups! Leanna and Tammy were doing so AmaZing! One little complaint...they could use a little more help! Loved it and maybe too much! I seen people recommending this place so me and my daughter decided to try it out for her 16th birthday. Well guess what..... we were HIGHLY disappointed. Our bill was 241$ and we barely got enough food for one person. The waitress never came back around to ask us how things were and we had to ask for our own refills. We ordered sausage along with other items and notice we didn't get our sausage, we had to mention it to the waitress. She then brought it out unseasoned, the overall quality of the food is very basic. There was flies buzzing around our food, the seating chairs are uncomfortable and the air could've been turned on a little bit. Honestly we've had WAY better and not as expensive. I got a shrimp boil, and my husband got the king crab legs, and we asked for just a little spice with lemon pepper and when our meal arrived, it looked like diarrhea all over our plate and we couldn't eat it. It was so spicy. We definitely will not be going back. Also, they should have informed us of the market price for the king crab it was really a lot of money for 2 king crab legs and we couldn't even eat it. it was gross. read more
