There is a bar with beer, wine and snacks, a small stage for the live band and plenty of grounds to park and walk around. I got there at night and the road here was pitch black dark. They had by donation hot chocolate, coffee and cookies during the fifteen minute intermission. The acting was also on par with expectations for a small theater. The staging was basic, but perfect in conveying the feel of the show. There was also a person playing the violin as we entered the venue. This little theater and glade really captured both my heart and my imagination a few weeks ago during the Butterfly Festival. There's a poignant story behind the name of the EmilyAnn, but I'll leave it to you to discover it on their website. There's an equally touching story behind Justin's Castle, but you'll have to visit in person to learn about that one. What I didn't know was that there were so many events held here. Christmas features a trail of lights. There are various theater productions throughout the year at the three outdoor stages. There's a beautiful Veterans Memorial Plaza and stage at the top of the hill. There's a life-size chess-checker board. And a betrothal tree. In short, the EmilyAnn is not just a one-trick-pony. Parking is next door at Wimberley High School. I'd like to say the grounds are accessible, but unfortunately they're not. However, there is an access road for drop-off at the main stage at the top of the hill. Instead, if you call ahead, they will apparently make arrangements for golf cart service for those with mobility impairments. Live a little. Life is short. Check this place out sometime soon. You'll be glad you did.

The staff is helpful and professional You can choose from standard rooms, large rooms, rooms for recording audio or video. The rooms have an hourly and daily rate. The rooms provide solid acoustics, and they keep any unwanted external noise out Some tips: It's a much better deal to go with the daily rate, and honestly, it's incredibly affordable. The large room can be reserved for the day for just over $200. And this reservation goes past midnight into the morning if you need. It's BYOB, so, bring a cooler and drinks. The rooms get a little warm, so, I would consider bringing a fan or two We had a blast getting the band back together, and while we were taking a break outside on one of the benches, we watched so many bands and solo artists funnel in and out, and we thought to ourselves... what if these guys or this person is the next big thing. It first operated as a stagecoach outpost & blacksmith shop. And it famously built the Tavern in Comal County during prohibition. It wasn't until the 1950s that a dance hall pavilion was added to the property. And while the tavern wasn't made famous through country songs, it remained a popular watering hole for the locals. Today, the new owners have helped revitalize the dance hall and brought about a renewed appreciation for this musical outpost. Some of our family entered the hall because they needed to use the restrooms. We waited while listening to some good, live country music. I could see it was a very relaxed, casual, & family oriented gathering place. Then I found out this dance hall is one of the oldest in Texas! My husband and his family have fond memories of being at dance halls. This was so interesting to me because it's such a different culture from mine. We didn't have dance halls in the Philippines or California. There is a bar you pass by to get beer and other spirits. I don't as told that locals & visitors will leisurely hang out here.
