View from hill near Emily Ann Theater
    Mark W.

The Emily Ann Theater is a really cool place to visit in Wimberley, TX. In April, they do a butterfly festival that is supposed to be really cool. There is a really good view of the hills of Wimberley from atop a hill near the theater.

    Trail of lights.

She was proactive in reaching out to see if we needed anything during our planning process and was extremely fast in answering any questions we had, regardless of the time of day. Carey was our Day of Coordinator and equally as fabulous. She was one step ahead of everything and was always ready with a refill of our drinks. All the staff the day of were great as well. They even packed the leftover catering food and any decor/items in the getting ready room in our truck. I come from a background of event planning and Kimberli and Carey and the team at OGR checked all the boxes and make planning and executing your wedding day flawless. My husband and I felt so taken care of on the day of and all of our guests were texting us the days after saying how it was such a wonderful event - all thanks to the OGR team. The venue is beautiful - our wedding was in early April and had our ceremony at the Wedding Deck and it was lush and green. The Beer Donkeys are adorable!

First of all, the parking situation for the greenhouses is awful. You have to park your car and walk a minimum of a 1/4 mile to your spot, and there's no shade. Secondly, when my wife and I arrived the unit was dirty, like nobody is to keeping these units. There was garbage, cans, and litter all over the back yard area, roaches underneath the bed, and what looked like food or something on the walls. The bathroom was just as dirty. Lastly, the shower head was clogged and didn't have any kind of pressure. Not to mention they leave you 2 towels, for you stay which might I add has to be a minimum of 2 days just to book. Would not recommend staying, unless you're looking to be disappointed. It was my wife's birthday and I could not have been more embarrassed.

They also allowed me to use the pool a little early before check-in, which was nice. When I checked in, my coffee maker and microwave weren't working. Someone came within 10 minutes to fix the breaker, which I appreciated. Then I went to heat up some water and noticed the kettle had not been cleaned out from the previous guest. Finally, when I opened up the hot tub--which runs on and off all night, just FYI--there were long black hairs matted to the side. It felt like, for paying this price, certain basic things weren't taken care of or cleaned. Just a note: the cabins are private and the trees are nicely placed for privacy, but if you have loud talkative neighbors and want to enjoy the views quietly, that's a possibility. I also expressed some of this when Expedia asked me how my check-in was and sent feedback, but no one responded.

The entire staff was phenomenal, but Lynnsey and Dana exceeded our every expectation. We knew when we met with them during our decor meetings we would enjoy working with them. We were blown away the day of the event. Everything ran smoothly, the guests had so much fun and everything was perfect. The staff does a great job of keeping you on your timeline without stressing you about it. They make sure that you are having fun and take care of your every need. The decor they offer with the "All-Inclusive" package is so worth it! I didn't worry once about what the ceremony site or reception area would look like. We stayed in the Bungalow and it is so cozy and decorated in a very cute way. There is not one negative thing I can say about this venue or the staff. I would recommenced this venue 100%!

My family (including two toddlers) and I were looking for a place that wasn't too remote where we could get away from city life and the busy-ness that comes with it. This place really hits the mark on all levels - conveniently located, but remote feeling, great accommodations (and the lovely host, Pam), a fantastic swimming hole on the Blanco, lots of great restaurants nearby, etc. There is also an impressive working farm that is always yielding plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. And, Farmer John is always interested in showing kids and sharing the bounty. Highly recommended!

McKenzie was so sweet but following orders she had to rush us to finish our duties. It's in the middle of nowhere and I do not know why they are sticklers to "their ways". There is a huge miscommunication between them two; mixed messages. No kind of accommodations are available. I did not enjoy interacting with them overall as I felt rushed and they just came off as entitled/unprofessional. They speak negatively about people instead or reaching out to them directly. They have a belief of they host "weddings", not "parties/celebrations" and are unaware of cultural differences. Pam is adamant about receiving a list for EVERY single detail such as when the bride/groom is getting ready and when everything happens when they weren't present the entire time to SUPPORT the event. That's the job of the coordinator. For the price overall of the venue/limits and the amenities and accommodations, this place is overpriced.

Tucked just behind Gennaro's Trattoria, this place blends the beauty of Tuscany with the rustic charm of Texas. And yes... living just 8 minutes away doesn't hurt either! From a photographer's point of view, it's heaven. The mature trees and winding walkways naturally follow the landscape, creating effortless photo opportunities around every turn. Hilltop views, dreamy light, and gorgeous backdrops? Check, check, and check. Every couple I've worked with here says the same thing: "There are so many beautiful spots for photos--and we didn't even have to walk far!" One of my favorite hidden gems is the underground level--yep, underground! With its dramatic wooden double doors and cozy, wine-cellar vibe, it adds a magical, unexpected twist to the wedding day flow. Couples can enjoy dinner with family upstairs, then head down below for dancing and celebration. Both levels are stunning and so well thought out. The staff? Truly some of the kindest people I've met in the industry. We always end up sharing a laugh or two--they genuinely love what they do, and it shows. Their hospitality adds that extra layer of warmth that makes everyone (vendors and guests alike) feel at home. Villa di Campagna isn't just a venue--it's an experience.
