I don't really know what other options there were near my gate, but Blue Sky Bar was good. Yes, it is in the same space as Quizno's and some other food place, but that didn't really bother me. Sitting at the bar felt like you were in a bar/lounge, I didn't care that there were people eating sandwiches in the low-tops around me... I was there aroudn 8 am on a Tuesday and there were two bartender gals working. I think the one who was helping me more was named Samantha, because that's the name that was on my receipt. She was really awesome. Just the right level of conversational and friendly. I also ordered a breakfast burrito from Quizno's at the bar and it wasn't that great. It wasn't bad, just super boring. But Quizno's isn't usually a breakfast establishment so whatever. Not that people are usually looking for like, a "scene", when they're at the airport, but I bet at night this place is fun. It just kind of has that club/lounge look and feel. read more

We had a very friendly group of ten who are all geared up for a long awaited trip to Greece. Bags checked, killing time and spending lots $$$ of money (perdomanetly drinks)! Unfortunately, customer service and friendly staff is not a requirement for the hiring staff. The waitresses, in exception for one very nice latina, we're rude, temperamental, and agitated to say the least. Really only took the time to give it a low rating (que marketing) to say if your ready to mange a great start to an epic vacation, don't come here! read more

Traveling is never fun and the employees in the port are usually completely blah! I can't believe the energy the bartender has here. Usually super fancy lounges employ high energy, positive, attentive guys like this-Mike was over, above and beyond. I wasn't sure the concoction I wanted and he even offered me samples of the local beers! On a plus side, it's part of Quiznos and you can order a sandwich while you wait. My husband & I got to the airport with time to spare & stopped into Blue Sky to check out their beer selection since we saw a number of taps from the corridor. While they had a great selection of local craft beer options along with a few staples, I was so taken aback by their lack of customer service. Not even a lack of customer service actually, as much as just a bizarrely annoyed, "I'm so over it & irritated by you" negative attitude from our very first interaction with the bartender working when we walked up to the bar. That negativity & annoyance remained throughout the entire time we were there. Seriously, why work in customer service, which requires you to interact with people on a daily basis, for your job if you're going to be a negative, angry a-hole to the people who are paying you? Newsflash gentlemen (and I use that term so very loosely): we don't HAVE to tip you. If you're going to be THAT miserable & unknowledgeable about the beer you are pouring, then maybe this isn't the job for you. The craft beer you are serving is something you should be knowledgeable about & excited about as part of your job requirement. You should know how to describe what you are serving & be prepared to answer questions. If you can't meet those 2 simple expectations, then you are in the wrong field. Period. Thankfully, their selection had a great variety of blondes, pale ales, kolsches, lagers, Heffe's, IPA's, sours, porters, etc... And because they couldn't answer a simple question or describe a lesser known, small batch, craft beer to save their lives (or just couldn't be bothered to), they huffily poured a sample for us to try, so we were able to make an informed decision. In the end we enjoyed what we drank, as well as the conversation we had with another customer at the bar, but won't be stopping back at that location if either of the 2 cranky ass bartenders who were working when we came in are there again. The beer selection was definitely worth stopping back in for. The service, however, was not. read more

I don't need an engaging bartender, but when you can't even make eye contact with me before rushing off to polish a plastic "glass", that's pretty sad. Great for a quick beer! Pricey airport prices, but they do have pappy van winkle bourbon! Seats are either empty or packed! There are several different beers on tap and they are just next to a Quizno's and across from the bathrooms, if you are in a hurry to catch your plane! read more

We were on a late flight to Los Angeles. and went in there for drinks, shortly before our flight, and the bartenders were not at all welcoming to our group. We spent well over $40 and left a respectable 20% tip with the first female bartender. Even with that they seemed to not like our presence. Didn't make much of it because it was late for them (male and female employees). Then a couple of my friends ordered two more beers from the male bartender. They both left a 20% tip and closed both tabs. They leave to begin boarding. I am still drinking the last of my beer. With a disgruntled look he picks up a receipt belonging to the group next to us and flings it over his shoulder. About the same time a customer next to me asks him, " How's your night? Ready to go home?" His response, " I get a large group and they can't leave a tip." Not sure if he thought that we didn't leave a tip, but their behavior toward us was not at all friendly even before the tip situation. It started when we arrived. We were not rude to them at all and they in turn never provided good customer service. The male bartender really made it known that he didn't like us in his establishment. read more
