We got to stop and enjoy some cool swimming areas as well as go down some deep rapids in our life jackets only freestyle if we wanted! My gf and I went rafting on the tieton river course in August last year. The actual rafting experience was great. It was the first time for both of us. Got life jackets and helmets. Safety brief. It was late in the season and the current relied on a dam releasing water so it was pretty calm. Calmer than I expected for most of it but still had moments of excitement. Our guide was great. Our raft mates, another couple, were great too. The food afterwards is decent. If you're like me, you'll be too hungry to complain. They had a third party photographer who takes pics along the route and you can buy a digital copy a the end. I drop stars because the reservations were broken by the company. We scheduled a couple weeks in advance. The day before, we got a call that they cancelled our day and time. We were given the option for a refund, a different time the same day or a different day which was the day after. It really fucked up our schedule. We were only in Seattle for 4 days and had everything planned out such as rental car and hotel in Yakima. We ended up changing a lot to make this work because it was the main reason we decided to vacation to Seattle in the first place. Price was alright. Did get the 10% off coupon applied which barely made a dent. Overall, comparable to competitors that I looked at. I had chosen this company for the courses and times offered, not based on price. I recommend a flexible schedule, hand sanitizer and wipes since there are only porta potties available, and a towel. Also, be careful for those with sensitive skin. I wouldn't even say I have sensitive skin but I developed a rash all over my stomach and lower half where I had the wetsuit on that night. It faded by morning, but freaked me out. read more

My wife, nine year old son, and I went with another family (with a 9 year old daughter), and we had the best time. The guide, Hudson, was great getting us trained up so we could go through the big rapids. It was the perfect mix of excitement without it being too much for the kids. We went floating down the Wenatchee and Icicle River using Blue Sky Outfitters and it was a lot of fun! I'm writing this review so people can know what to expect when going since I found that their website and information sent over was lacking. I would recommend that the company add more FAQs so people know what to bring etc. If you purchase the cooler through them, you need to bring your own ice. I would also recommend bringing your own Bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to music. No need to bring towels as it's so hot, you dry off immediately. I recommend buying the cooler so you can put your sandals, shorts etc in the side area. I also recommend bringing your own dry bag for your phone, money etc. Overall, we had a great time and I can't wait to go back again! read more

We did a half day trip on the Wenatchee River (Category 3 rapids) and were impressed with this company! Our guide made us comfortable and created opportunities for us to "do more" by trying to explore a cave and by teaching us how to spin into rapids. People have commented that they didn't feel as safe with this company, but as a first time rafter I was very confident in our safety and their abilities to guide our trip. They provide wet suites and booties so bring a swim suit and sunscreen and enjoy your trip! I have no reservations recommending this company to first time and experienced rafters. My friend booked a rafting trip on the White Salmon River last Saturday. I have gone rafting once every summer (mainly at Wenatchee) so I was excited to try this river. The White Salmon River was a level 4. Everyone else in the group were first timers and all 9 of us were put in a raft. Because we were all in a raft, two people could not paddle. This would not be recommended if everyone in the group wants to participate but since the majority did not care whether they were paddling or not, it worked out. The guides were easygoing and thoroughly went over paddling techniques and safety. Our guide was very patient with our group since we were all having a hard time syncing ourselves with paddling. I also loved going down the waterfall! It sounded scary but it wasn't as bad as I have imagined it to be. I recommend that you give yourselves plenty of time to find this place. Google maps was off with directions here so double check the route! Also, if it is your first time this isn't the best river to start off with. I suggest that you try a level 3 river before giving this a shot. read more

I've never written a yelp review before, but after the traumatizing experience I had with this company I found it necessary to create an account. My husband and I decided to go water tubing here at Lake Wenatchee in July for our one year wedding anniversary and we both left in tears in the back of a firefighter truck. After floating on the water in the warm sun, we ferociously tried to paddle to the exit shoreline where the course was supposed to end, but instead we got swept down by the current of the water while the employees just stared and did nothing to help us. Thankfully, a random person swam against the current to save me and pulled me to the shore, while my husband held on to wet rocks in the middle of the river while the strong current thrusted his body the other way. He was screaming for help and the employees just sat there and watched him fight for his life (he held on for about 15 mins, and thankfully he survived). By the grace of God, the same random person who saved me, swam against the current to the middle of the river and was able to get a hold of rope to finally rescue my husband. A ranger told me we were lucky because people die on this current all the time (which is the danger zone Blue Sky Outfitters decided to put their exit at). Firefighters and the ambulance were called to check up on us and assess my husbands injuries, and when they tried to talk to the company we were with, EVERY single one of them had left the scene and were nowhere to be found; the firefighters even tried calling their phone but to no surprise they didn't answer. We still had one of their tubes so as good samaritans we wanted to return them so the firefighters offered to take us to our destination. On our walk back to our car, a group of people in red shirts with Blue Sky Outfitters written on them stopped us and asked us, "did they ever get those people out??" not realizing that WE were the customers they left to drown. After we told them we got out, they said to let them know if there's anything they can do.. I wrote them an email a few days after this traumatic event and asked for a refund and even after almost 3 weeks they have ignored me. These "professionals" didn't care to rescue us, stay to see if we survived, or even at the bare minimum console us after we were brought to the shore. If a company values keeping $70 more than valuing actual human life that says a lot about how money hungry they really are. They advertise harvesting family fun but know that's the furthest thing from their true intentions. There are many red flags about this company which we realized at the end and I wish we would've called out sooner. For starters, their check-in is at a foldable table in front of a gas station and they take you to the back to load you into a school bus; they give you the safety brief AFTER you've already signed the liability form, the exit shore that you're supposed to paddle to with FRISBEES is directly in front of the danger zone, and they have absolutely no life guards/employees at the dangerous checkpoints in case of an emergency. The employees at Blue Sky Outfitters are hands down the worst I've ever interacted with. Please be careful and look into the agency you book with to ensure your fun trip doesn't end with devastation. read more

My wife and I were in Wenatchee for a conference and she decided to sign us up for a short 2 hour river rafting trip while we were in the neighborhood. As it transpired we two were the only ones scheduled for that shot run so the company offered to upgrade us to a 4 hour run including a steak BBQ at the end. We accepted. Our guide Brier was very knowledgeable and entertaining. With his expert boat piloting and the good luck of having four friendly raft mates the trip was a lot of fun for both of us. One note of caution, if you do decide to book a trip make sure you get the boat without the aluminum frame. It's a lot lighter to carry around the dam when you get there. read more

I booked for the float down the Wenatchee River. First, just want to say that booking online wasn't problematic. It was the service, and the communication. There wasn't great direction on where to go, when we did get there the individuals helping us couldn't understand what we were asking when we wanted to know how we were going to get to the float spot. Essentially where we going to be dropped off and how are we going to get there. The more senior person was quite short with us for asking a rather simple question, we had never used their service before and we needed to just know how to get to the float spot. Another thing that was frustrating was the means by which we were transported to the drop off point. It was in ancient School bus with some sharp edges on the seats, just a generally very uncomfortable ride. We also expected coolers as the other vendors provide them, but we were provided bags that were 10 bucks a pop and not very big and they actually leaked so they didn't even work. $30 plus tax for something that doesn't actually work and we weren't even doing anything crazy it was very chill river but still all of our stuff was wet. I think the proper response would be to refund it but there was really no way to talk to anybody after we arrived back as no one was there to talk to when we walked back to our vehicle. Just in general, felt very unprofessional and I would recommend anyone to go to the other vendors for this float. We have used another company and had an amazing experience and just thought we would try this one out and we're very disappointed. read more

IT WAS NOT A SAFE EXPERIENCE for my 12-year-old son and me last summer (2021). Be very wary of this company. The other poor reviews mirror my own experience. I've been waiting on writing this review for the company to return my email or my phone call. When I called, a nice young lady read the email and said the manager would contact me the very next day. Never happened. After the bus took us to our spot, we were rushed into signing a release form and were told to pick out our lifejackets and tubes. While we were doing that, the employee had completed his instructions to the other tubers. We asked him to repeat them. So, my son and I were tethered together when we got in the river and immediately came apart once we started out. I lost sight of my son for a bit because I drifted ahead of him, but the company said they would have their people all around on and off the water, so I wasn't too concerned yet. I moved to the side where the current was not strong and he finally caught up to me. He said that he had been waving to others for help but no one noticed. We didn't see any employees. He's not a strong swimmer, but he had a life jacket and the company advertises that it's for kids and even dogs! So I figured it would be perfectly safe. We were given frisbees to steer with, which didn't help much. In fact, at the end of the trip, I had blisters from hopelessly trying to steer with them. We were told to go left when the river started winding and my son and I couldn't do it. I didn't know what was ahead, but I knew we couldn't go that way. I was getting frustrated when I suddenly realized that I could just jump out of my tube and pull my son with me. I dragged him behind me against the current and then when I couldn't touch the bottom, I swam with him behind me. I became a super mom for a few minutes. Some strangers came up behind and helped me as I was banging my legs on rocks and tree logs. I didn't really care about that, I just wanted my son safe. He wasn't happy that I was getting hurt. So the strangers helped us get up on shore where we took a breath before completing the trip. (My son told me later that he waded in at that time to check his life jacket and that it didn't float!). We got back in and it was a mellow section of the river, and it ended a few minutes later. So, the whole trip probably would have taken us maybe 15 minutes if we didn't have the problems that we had. (I realize now that the current changes from day to day, so it could be a little more on other days I suppose). I made sure that we were in the left area because we were told to stop before the rapids. They waved us down to make sure we knew to stop. We got off and I told them what had happened. The people who worked there didn't say much & told us to deflate our tubes and walk them back somewhere, and then walk back to our starting point. I've been upset with myself for not checking the reviews before we went and for not ensuring that our son had more swim lessons. We haven't been able to because of COVID. My son said later that it was supposed to be the greatest day of the summer, but that it was the worst day. That pretty much sums it up. read more

Like the water? This outfit makes sure you are well fed, well-suited up and safe for the ride, and makes sure you have a BLAST! I know a few of the river guides, just techies having some weekend fun, but they have to start rafting each season in the freezing rain! They are good, well-trained, and crazy fun. You show up at 9 for the am rafting trip and get a huge BBQ of chicken, dogs, and maybe ribs, fruit/veg/salad, and beverages before you go, or reverse it, get the BBQ first and go on the 1 pm trip. Either way, it's about $60 pp each ride and the BBQ is included. The rivers are higher in spring/early summer and lower in July/August. The rapids are awesome if you go earlier, if you are new, try it a little later for a calmer ride. Be ready to paddle and do it in time with your boat mates, and don't forget, you get buckets in your boat to fill with water and try and douse the other rafts with! It's a great cool down, ready or not, when its 90-100 degrees. Bring your power bar and sunscreen, as well as sunglasses that fit snugly. If you bring a hat, don't be attached to it unless you attach it well to your head! Have fun! This place is all over, but I've been to the location on the Wenatchee river just outside of Leavenworth. I have to admit my experience didn't start out all that well with these guys. For the most part there was a total lack of direction at the arrival site. There's some 30 plus people standing around all wondering what to do. I mean its near the 11am departure time and so far not one of the 3 guides has said much of anything to anyone. Finally, one by one the 3 guides sort of introduce themselves to a few of us just standing around wondering what's what. As the information started to filter out my group of six sort of figured out we needed to fill out the liability waver and I guess stand over the by the small line that's forming by the wetsuits. From there it just gets a little annoying. No ones explaining what we are supposed to do, or what we should bring on the raft or what we shouldn't bring, where the dry bags are and what not. After about 10 minutes of trying get the wet suit on, figure out if I need the fleece or not, or if I need the extra parka and figuring out how to loosen the straps on my life preserver we were off and running. After the initial lack of direction things to a spin for the better! These guides and the people at blue sky outfitters know their stuff and are top notch! Disregard the fact that none of the guides seem to be old enough to buy alcohol let alone vote. Once you get them on the water they are as professional as can be. They instill confidence and make the trip absolutely fun! We too had Bree and she was just fabulous. The entire crew is very friendly and love to chat and get to know you. My family had so much fun we're already signing up for another run for next year! read more

My husband and I did the Tieton River trip on a recent rainy, chilly day. We'd been rafting before, but in New Zealand, where they basically consider it a good trip if you don't die, so this was quite different. After we booked they sent us a very thorough e-mail with directions, a list of what they'd supply to us and suggestions for what we should bring, which was very helpful. There were a ton of people going in our time slot, but I felt like things were organized enough that it didn't really have a negative effect on our experience. The trip itself wasn't particularly scary, so if you're nervous about that don't sweat it. And on a hot day it would actually be pretty nice since the water is not that cold thanks to being warmed up behind a dam all summer. I got very drenched since I was in front, but I was really the only one, and it was still fun. The couple times people fell/almost fell out of our boat our guide was really on top of getting them in ASAP and making sure they were OK, so safety definitely is their top concern. The only drawback to the trip is that it's loooooong. That sounds good in theory because you're getting your money's worth, right? Well, you're getting a sore ass and uncontrollable shivering if you go on a cold day like us. It's really not an exciting or fast enough river to justify the length they make it, but they give you steak at the end, so yay! read more

I went for river rafting on june 2nd through blue sky outiftters on wenatchee river. They are based in cashmere at 1:30. It was the third and the last batch they take for river rafting. On a very warm and sunny day with Chris as our guide (he is pretty good - young and funny), we went for the ride of our life. Though it puts back you by $90 if you take the 17 mile trip (they have one for $60 for 10 miles), its worth paying if you consider the fun and excitment you get out of it. They also serve you breakfast (pre trip) and luch (post trip - steak was yummy) which was pretty good. I would also suggest people to sit in the front if you want more excitment. We were in the front during the first half of the trip and in the back during the second half. The adventure and excitment in the back compared to the front is nothing. I would suggest blue sky outiftters anytime. Go for it. read more

My boyfriend and I did a full-day trip this afternoon with Blue Sky and I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. All of the guides were so helpful, friendly and educated about rafting; and the process meeting up, getting our gear and traveling from the home spot to the river was streamlined and easy. Kyra was our guide - she was so cool and knew a ton about the history of the Wenatchee, wildlife and rafting in general. Our entire float was full of first-timers and she was really patient teaching us how to paddle and work around the rapids, and kept us prepared for all the big waves so everything was fun and exciting, never scary. She had great energy and kept us all upbeat and engaged the entire day. As for the "safety" comment below, that's a fairly ignorant review that doesn't even seem legitimate. Our guides talked extensively about safety, did a lengthy training beforehand and on our break and reminded us of best practices all day. Kyra in particular emphasized guidelines all day, explaining why certain things were dangerous and the worst-case scenarios. She also specifically said Blue Sky uses helmets in several rivers, but not the Wenatchee on calm days with such high water levels. 100 percent recommend to anyone looking for professional, fun and safe company and an unforgettable rafting experience. I'll definitely be doing another trip next time I'm in the Pacific Northwest! read more

We have rafted with many other companies on many other rivers. (The Colorado, the Snake, the Yellowstone) We've also rafted with a different company on the Wenatchee. This trip down the Wenatchee was WAY better. Our guide was great. She gave great direction to ensure that we would catch the rapids in the safest yet most exciting way and maintained calm when my hubby unintentionally exited the boat in the middle of a huge, icy cold rapid. He was back in the boat in no time and off we went, to find the next set of white water. This trip didn't include a meal but they pointed out a really great BBQ place which we tried afterward. I have been on 2 trips with Blue Sky Outfitters. The first trip was an office teambuilding event on the Wenatchee, and the second was a personal trip on the Tieton. Pros: All-inclusive, very friendly way to explore the whitewater in Washington. If you are new to rafting, you really can't go wrong with Blue Sky. From reservation-making to post-trip, they really go the extra mile to ensure that your questions are answered. Things to consider: The water WILL be cold, especially on the Tieton. They give you wetsuits, but you will need more, like a jacket or a fleece. The email says to bring a fleece. Believe it, because you will want something to keep you warm. The problem with the Tieton is that the shuttle ride is at the end, so you will be cold and wet while you go back to camp. The ride is about 20 minutes, and it's the worst 20 minutes of the trip. My recommendation to anyone taking the Tieton trip is to wear a warm fleece or river jacket over your wetsuit while you are in the raft, and to remove your neoprene booties while in the shuttle going back to the camp. This means you will need something on your feet... Crocs or flip flops will work so your feet aren't soaking in water the whole time like mine were... Cons: Expensive, and the lifejackets kind of smell bad. If you have your own you might want to bring that instead. read more

On 7/25/14 Casey led our boat down the White Salmon with a degree of professionalism I have not experienced with other companies (without mentioning names, I have rafted with three other businesses in the area). He was extremely accommodating and considerate of another rafter's physical ailments without sacrificing the thrill factor for the rest of us. His knowledge, stewardship, and personality far exceeded any other guide I have rafted with. He alone could be credited for the next two trips we are already planning with this company on the Tieton and hopefully Wenatchee rivers. Additionally, the website was easy to navigate and book with, Kira (if I am remembering correctly- sorry!) and other staff at the pickup where all smiles, and the photographer who had been stalking us (White Salmon Photo .com) also shared some great anecdotal stories. This review is for the Tieton River on the 12th of September. Like the other reviewers say getting to the meeting point is an adventure in itself. Even the people of Blue Sky have a difficult time explaining directions, but I found that once you ask a local, they will steer you to the right way. Our trip was the early time (9:00 am) and it was a large group of rafters all getting their wet suits and booties along with signing waivers. Although it was a bit chaotic Blue Sky workers had everything under control and got everyone suited up and ready to put in the river by 10:15. I have done other rafting trips with other companies so I pretty much know the safety drill and proper use of the equipment. I was concerned that our guide did not check our life jackets (proper fit) and tell us where the emergency rope (throw bag) was in the boat (which proved to be an important). And being that we were the designated last boat, I found him to be awfully young and inexperienced to be put in that position. This came into factor when we hit an area called "high noon" and lost him and another person into the water. High Noon is a boulder that lies flat and is hidden well, and if you don't hit it dead on your boat can flip or can have people tossed in the water. That's what happened to us. We ended up almost flipping, had our guide and fellow rafter thrown in the river and our raft going backwards! While my friend and another rafter tried to fish out the 2, I tried to locate the throw bag but could no find it. (it was buried under the safety bag). Eventually we were able to grab the two by using the oars and yanking them back on the boat. We were able to laugh about it afterwards, but during that brief 30-40 seconds it was down right scary! This is a long trip, so be prepared to be in the river for close to 4hrs. By the time we reached the end everyone was tired. What they advertised as a fantastic sirloin steak BBQ lunch was just so-so and definitely not worth the extra $30. The set up was disorganized, the location was poor - no where to sit (no picnic tables, chairs etc.) and the food was just ok. Would I recommend Blue Sky?... Yes and no. Yes because they have up to date equipment, boats, and vans, And no, because I found their price a bit high and an inexperienced guide. read more

We used this company to go on the Wenatchee in July of 2017. It was going to be a surprise birthday party event for a friend of ours and while they said we would need to talk to our guides the day of the excursion, they already had us grouped onto the same raft when we arrived (even though there were 3 sets of us who booked at different times). Kyle was our guide and helped us have an outstanding experience. He was friendly and informative and a great singer (with everything from opera as we glided through the smooth parts to The Beatles and TV show soundtracks). We booked the all day excursion and had a wonderful time. The birthday girl had never been rafting before and after this, she said she can't wait to go again. Thanks for a great time! read more

Spent $330 on rafting trip and wine tour for 2. Spent 2 hours on river and went to 3 small wineries, 2 of which charged a $5 per person fee for tastings. Not worth the price in the slightest. If the price was closer to $200 for 2, I would probably give this company a 3.5 star. This is for the leavenworth/cashmere location. I cannot speak for the other river locations. read more

My friend who has gone rafting once before, and myself who had never gone rafting previously, went for the half day Wenatchee River Express trip. Overall, the experience was very positive although not as intense as I had expected. The process from start to finish was extremely simple and enjoyable. We submitted an inquiry form online and were called back within minutes with information about our trip. When we arrived, we were greeted be friendly guides who got us signed in, got us our river boots, life jacket and paddles. It was really hot that day, so they didn't offer us wet suits as the water was very refreshing. They took us on a 10 minute bus ride over to the entry location where they gave us a quick safety overview and got us situated in our boats. The water level was lower and slower than usual, which meant the Rapids weren't as intense as we were expecting. Afterwards there was a cookout where the guides made us steak and corn, and we got to interact more with the people in our boats. Our tour guide John was one of a kind. Extremely friendly and personable. He told us all about the history of the river and the Rapids. Although the the Rapids weren't as fun as we'd hoped, John made up for it. He had us going for a while that one of the houses on the river was that of Charlie Sheen, and told us after that he had us all going. Overall an amazing tour guide who was extremely friendly and made the trip worth the price. I would recommend this trip to anybody who wants to go rafting for the first time as it was less intense but gave you a really good idea of what to expect on higher class Rapids. This review is for the Tieton River Rafting Trip. Me and my dad tried for this trip in Sept. of 07 and drove from Kent and COULDN'T FIND IT! Man we were ticked. This year, Sept 08, we had better luck. The place was still difficult to find using the directions on the Blue Sky Outfitters website. We did find it, but left our hotel with plenty of time to get lost. They really need to put more signs out to guide people to their put out point. When we did get there, the guides and staff were friendly and cool. There is a light snack beforehand. The raft trip is about 4 hours with lots of excitement and laughs. Our guide, Ray, is crazy! While many of the other guides were steering clear of certain parts of the river, Ray was taking us into near misses with boulders and wild rapids. FUN. They provided a meal after the trip, and it was just right. Ours consisted of a chargrilled steak and macaroni or potato salad. I had never rafted before this trip and I had a great time. Keep your eye out for the Chief (rock formation) lying on his back in the sun! LOL read more

Blue Sky Outfitters trip down the White Salmon exceeded our expectations. A co-worker actually recommeneded this trip to me, saying it was one of the best things she had done. When I had friends coming into town celebrating a big birthday I wanted to plan something special. This was perfect. Our guide John was skilled, confident and extremely patient with three inexperienced paddlers. His knowledge of the area's natural history, flora and fauna was superb. The ride was gorgeous and at times thrilling. I had not planned to do the class five waterfall, but our guide's confidence assured me and it was amazing. Best time ever! First time my boyfriend and I have been rafting and we had an excellent time with Casey (guide) leading the way. We were given all necessary info via email, we came dressed as suggested, given wetsuits if we wanted (no thanks), booties and instructions before we started. We got lucky and ended up with 6 other people that had rafted before. We took every rapid aggressively and even though we did end up losing 7 out of 9 after riding a rapid it was the best day ever. A fun time for the adventurous of all skill levels, this group provided excellent guidance on a white water river ride. We really enjoyed our guide (Cyrus) who worked to keep the fun in paddling a raft down a river. These guys are great. Well organized and the guides are all pros. I took my boys ages 9 and 10 and they said it was the best event of the summer. My 9yo was apprehensive to go and a bit timid but Seth our guide made him feel secure and confident. He ended up at the head of the boat facing the rapids head on by the end of the trip. This was the second time my girlfriend and I used Blue Sky outfitters to go river tubing. This time we selected to go twice in one day. They are super nice and helpful and even gave us a discount for going on the ride twice in a day. Their store front lady is awesome and super friendly. Let me start by saying the people that work here are great. From the rafting guides to the reservation staff. My only issue was during the booking process. I was bringing a huge group some were uncommitted so I didn't really have a solid number to report to them. They told me It was possible for each family to call and pay under my reservation. I later did call with a solid number of 25. I guess it got confusing for them because of the amount of money recieved vs the number of people. I wish that they were able to keep track of how many reservations were being made. So on the day of our rafting the guides were told 20 reservations. When actually 25 showed up and supposedly paid. The guides were saying that we all cannot all go. But they were accommodating and took all of us anyway. I was told that I needed to straighten this out with the main office or I would have to pay the difference. So I called and went over the credit cards used and the number of people. We were able to verify that everyone paid and the mistake was made on their side. I was thankful that we avoided a major issue. In the end we all had a great time. read more

What a great time out on the Tieton River last sunday! A little tricky to find their base camp, and so we arrived about 15 minutes late, but that wasnt a problem at all. Our guide was great! His name is Skylar, so if you decide to go out there rafting, ya better ask for his boat! You wont be disappointed. We had a blast with him, we laughed, we joked, he taught us a lot about navigating the river and getting around the rocks and down trees and such, he pointed out other stuff going on around us that we may not have ever even noticed, like the rock climbers up above. He made it fun, relaxed, exciting and educational, lol. The entire system was pretty efficient as well. Sign in (your life away), grab a wetsuit, booties, a helmet, a water jacket and a life jacket. The crew will help you adjust anything that needs it. They give a thorough inservice about what to expect and what to do when the unexpected happens out on the river. They keep it light and often comical to keep your attention. The rapids were fun, really good! Then afterwards they cook everyone up a steak lunch on the BBQ! With corn on the cob, potato salads, mac salads, bread, lemonade. Well done! Dont know when, but we'll be back. And did I mention that our guide Skylar ROCKED!? read more

Whitewater rafting on the Wenatchee was a great experience. I would recommend it for beginners of all ages. Our boat managed to stay afloat with 2 men and a boat full of women, (yes!) so it isn't physically difficult either. Bree was our guide and did a top notch job. The ride itself is 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but you are so entertained throughout it really seems like 20 minutes. Sign up for the full day ! That's what i am doing next time. read more

This was our first time white water rafting. We chose the Tieton River, which has a 3-4 rating. Our guide, Hal, was phenominal! Had a blast!

We took the Wenatchee river and had a blast. Our raft flipped over and we all fell out. Totally scary but our guide Nicholas and Dave (another guide with Blue Sky Outfitters) immediately went into "emergency mode" and pulled us out super quick. Completely impressed with how everything was handled. If we are ever in the area again would use them in a heartbeat. read more

We did a class 3 rafting with them last Saturday. The day was supposed to be sunny and warm, but it was completely raining and cold. However we had fun the water. I liked the way they accommodated us at the last moment, I reserved the day before. We liked the company and all their guides. Especially the one who gave us the safety speech and instructions was hilarious. The class 3 was not as exciting as I would have expected it be, probably it was the day. It was the first time for my wife and she liked it. We would like to go to class 4 or 5 next time. But for class 3 I liked this company. read more

Unfortunately I never got to go on the trip we booked to see the Eagles on the Skagit River. In my attempts to book the trip I left multiple messages on multiple days spanning a week with no return calls; the only way I reached someone was to continue to call until someone answered. This happened several times as we had to reschedule our trip. This was two months before the trip. The Saturday before the Sunday trip one of my party got sick and was unable to go. We called and left multiple messages and sent emails, but as usual got no response. We decided we wanted to go as a group, so none of us showed up for the Eagle Tour. When we tried calling on Monday, again because nobody returned our calls we were told they left the office at 1p on Saturday (we called prior to that) and we needed to have 24 hours notice of cancellation. (we would have had 22 hours notice had someone answered the phone or checked an email). They refused to let us reschedule our trip. Mind you, I can understand needing 24 hours notice, but it seems to me 22 hours would suffice in most cases, and if they had better customer service skills would have known about and responded to our voice mail. They indicated their guides live in Seattle, and drive all the way out to the Skagit river on the day of the tour, so they couldn't give us credit for our trip and if we wanted to rebook would have to pay full price. (I guess they don't check voice mails either). I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I have used many rafting companies, and these guys are by far THE VERY WORST! I had wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday. I tried to be on the river by 1:30 for a 5 hr trip, followed by dinner cooked "riverside"(actually in parking lot 100 yards away!) Jamie told me he would send confirmation email...which he forgot-so when I called the morning of....begging for guidance-(from my bathroom/trying to keep secret)-I amended our reservations for 4 adults/2kids to 3+3 due to illness, they o.k.'d..when we finally found the spot I called for directions...and they were vague"you can't miss it" (is this a kegger?-or a biz?) Never once were we asked to look at website.or told to not wear cotton, 10 yr old in tears after asked to undress~for the 3 hr trip/no meal ~9 of us were stuffed into the second raft-(kids sitting in center, where the "safety chat "said NOT TO! This left the third raft for 3 guides to take right beside us for a joy ride...LAME! attempts for repayment of overcharges met with, "go ahead and complain-I DON'T CARE!" this from Brad the owner.
