My sampled my daughter's fries and they were pretty crispy and well seasoned. I had to go with what I had last time: the Bee Sting pizza. Love the feta with spicy sausage and honey drizzle. She got me fresh creamer and sweetner packets so I didn't have to use the communal packets. I appreciate how understanding she was about my requests and my want to protect my new kidney. The menu has a lot of options which was great! Everything sounded tasty since we were so hungry! My husband grabbed the 2 biscuits and gravy meal with 2 eggs. I got the Tomlet with some spinach added without the hashbrowns and toast. Our food came out fast and hot! It all looked so good. My omelet had hamburger, olives, onions, cheese, jalapenos and fresh spinach. It was just what I wanted! I added sour cream and salsa to that baby, it was so good! My husband's biscuits and gravy were massive! The best homemade biscuits and gravy we ever had came from a gas station in Athens, Ga. These biscuits and gravy were busy as good! They are the best we have had in town! The biscuits were fluffy and airy, not too dense. The gravy was savory and rich. I don't know what kind of sausage they used but it was really good! Sausage gravy is a 50/50 for us but this gravy was killer! Everything was so fantastic! We ate every bite of our food and didn't regret it one bit! I appreciate the small, hometown feel of this restaurant. Servers knowing their guests by their first names. The prices were reasonable. The coffee was hot and my cup was always filled. The waffles were nice and fluffy, and the hash browns were crisp just how I like them. I came with my neighbors, and they were just as happy with their meals. We also tried the mimosa flights with different juices, and they were so delightful! They have two different options, so I tried one and my neighbor tried the other. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. The girl did not seem to have any difficulty taking our order and was interactive asking me how I liked my eggs and agreed to make the bacon crispy. Our order cost $24. We paid and sat down after filling our drinks. They had real silverware. The food that was delivered to our table was not what we ordered. Hubs got a breakfast sandwich instead of his chicken bacon ranch Sammy. I got the breakfast plate with over easy eggs instead of scrambled. We asked for the correct sandwich but I ate what I was given. My breakfast plate was cold. The cool eggs would not cut apart with the side of my metal fork. The bacon was cool and chewy. The waffle was rubbery and room temp. Even the avocado was not as fresh as it should have been. The only upside was that the salt and peppered egg's flavor was nice. I had to ask for syrup for the waffle and I was told by the cook that they do not have butter. Hubs was completely over it and asked for a refund for his sandwich so we could leave.
