Sadly, though, they are quite overpriced and I think it's fair to point that out as customers come in to purchase items that are seemingly marked down for clearance by up to 70%. On a recent visit, we were attracted to a single cup coffee maker that was marked down by 35% from $285 to $185 - I curious as to how this price matched up with online prices and quickly discovered that the same coffee maker retails for $85! An upscale, all-stainless version of this same coffee maker retails for $185 but that's not the version being sold at the Village Gourmet. So - buyer beware that that the mark-downs they are offering are not at all what they seem.

The women that run the place are very knowledge, extremely helpful, and kind. I bought a bunch of kitchen pots and a hanging rack this week and they even helped me bring everything to my car! 5-star service and literally a one-stop shop if you need something for a friend's birthday, the holidays, a house warming party, graduation celebration, or even decor to host an event of your own. It's my favorite place in Evergreen. Love the ladies & love this shop - it's a must visit!

The service was absolutely top-notch and the food was delicious. We kicked things off with the Matcha Dumplings and Dragon Filet Pot Stickers (so good!). For the mains, the Ravioli and Filet were next-level greatness. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were spot on. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the mountains! #EvergreenCO #Evoke1923 #ColoradoEats #DateNight #MountainDining

The tables are thoughtfully spaced around the restaurant, and while quiet when we arrived, slowly filled in (but didn't feel crowded). We decided to start with the two appetizer specials - the arinchini, and the ravioli, both of which were good (of the two, the ravioli was more of a standout dish, with more flavors in it). For a main course, I had the duck. I'm not sure I would order it again. The first piece I cut into, I had a hard time cutting, thinking there may be a bone, I realized it was just overcooked/tough. The bites that I had that were cooked properly, were very tasty. The yellow dollops of sauce on the plate were saffron flavored, and added an interesting dynamic/flavor to the duck. The winter vegetables were good, and it notes a cauliflower purée on the menu, but tasted a bit more like parsnip purée (either way, good depth of flavor, very tasty). The duck itself was also a bit on the salty side. The overall presentation of the dish was thoughtful, and looked beautiful. Others at the table ordered the scallops (great dish, served in a fun bowl), and the elk loin, which looked like it was cooked perfectly (medium rare/nice red center). We also had dirty martinis, with blue cheese olives, that were delicious. Overall, good meal, but the duck was a bit disappointing. I would for sure order something else.
