An upscale, all-stainless version of this same coffee maker retails for $185 but that's not the version being sold at the Village Gourmet. So - buyer beware that that the mark-downs they are offering are not at all what they seem.

We decided to start with the two appetizer specials - the arinchini, and the ravioli, both of which were good (of the two, the ravioli was more of a standout dish, with more flavors in it). For a main course, I had the duck. I'm not sure I would order it again. The first piece I cut into, I had a hard time cutting, thinking there may be a bone, I realized it was just overcooked/tough. The bites that I had that were cooked properly, were very tasty. The yellow dollops of sauce on the plate were saffron flavored, and added an interesting dynamic/flavor to the duck. The winter vegetables were good, and it notes a cauliflower purée on the menu, but tasted a bit more like parsnip purée (either way, good depth of flavor, very tasty). The duck itself was also a bit on the salty side. The overall presentation of the dish was thoughtful, and looked beautiful. Others at the table ordered the scallops (great dish, served in a fun bowl), and the elk loin, which looked like it was cooked perfectly (medium rare/nice red center).
