We have been buying our lattes here for the past couple months. It you are hoping to buy a coffee larger than 12ounces, you better not stop here. Disappointed this location only offers 8oz and 12oz sizes. The coffee is above average with a great flavor and smooth finish. The eating area needs some additional ambience, it feels cold and not inviting as others. There is a nice retail area but very little branded retail items. Don't think sitting outside is the answer, with a huge parking area and NO asphalt or dust spray added, makes it just too dusty to enjoy your morning coffee or visit with friends. Fantastic service from everyone up front. Everyone is doing their job it appears. The restrooms are very clean. They lost one star because of the parking lot and latte sizes. read more

Blue Star Coffee is one of the best regional roasters and their new store/roastery is a beautiful place to enjoy their products. The modern building is spacious and is part retail, part roastery, The baristas here are top notch, and I enjoyed my cortado and americanos here last week. Would love to try their aeropress coffee next time though. Plenty of seating inside as well as a few tables outdoors under shade. Definitely worth a stop while in the Methow Valley! read more

Wandering through fruit stands in eastern WA found this coffee and tried it. Have been drinking for two pots, it is the Hwy 20 blend. Smooth, with a good flavor profile, I just ordered more online. It seems to be low in acid, i drink it all day. Much better than Starbucks normal choices... try it, you'll like it. read more

The atmosphere is calming, and the building is modern and sleek. The service was great too. My only beef is that I can only get a 12 oz latte. I'm a purist so I understand that the 12 oz. is the only way to serve a cappuccino; and that coffee tastes best when the ratio is in a 12 oz cup for a latte too. But sometimes on a long drive, I'd love to be able to order 16 oz. The location is easy and I do love the brand new feel to it. Modern, spacious, and fun coffee roastery. Good coffee for a fair price. They also have a great selection of pastries. I got a double 12oz vanilla latte and a strawberry scone. The latte was good but not fantastic (way too foamy and the espresso didn't seem as strong) but was impressed with the scone! Service was pretty standard and quick. Bathrooms could use some more attention. Some stalls were pretty dirty! Plenty of parking and nice outdoor seating. Stop by if you're in the area! read more

After reading other reviews I was hesitant to come here. I'm usually one for small quaint shops. This shop has modern structure but characterized with staff and decor. Adored the aero press option in addition to their attention to sourcing quality coffee beans. You can really taste the smooth, robust and medicinal flavors of organic care and harvest. Prices didn't seem out of the norm. With compostable cups and a supply of tampons in the bathroom, that's a hell yeah from me! read more

STAY AWAY! Unless you want to wait for 30+ minutes for your take out coffee and the coffee is mediocre & overpriced, too! We waited a total of 50 min. to get our lattes. 3 people were ahead of us to order - we waited about 5 min. to place our order, but then it took FOREVER to get our lattes. One person, one coffee machine and she does not even bother to work any faster. Why would someone expect to get a flower or other ornament on a take out latte if there is a lid on the cup anyway??? A total waste of time to create an art on the latte, when it is covered with a lid later anyway. The latte was not enjoyable either (too bitter - ok that's Starbucks, too), but not sweet enough either (ok you can add sweetener yourself later). Overpriced in my opinion, too. Place looks spacious but not cosey or inviting either. If you want to be disappointed - go there!! We were very disappointed and will NOT go there again!! Fantastic coffee! We spend a week in Twisp every summer and look forward to our daily runs to BSR! I'm docking a star just because 12 oz is their biggest size for cold or hot drinks and they don't offer baked good, it would be great if they sold some items from the local bakery to go with their delicious coffee. No frills, delicious coffee with great customer service. I was also extremely impressed last summer with their Covid protocols! They still aren't open inside but they said they are moving to a new location soon. Can't wait to see where they move! Try the iced honey bear for something sweet! Delicious! read more

I drove 9.8 miles to get a coffee this morning from this place... and it was worth it!! This place has a great vibe. The two baristas were absolute dolls! They were both vibrant, kind, happy, and made awesome drinks. We got two triple shot iced caramel lattes with oat milk and they were fire. A great shot of espresso and brew. We also snagged home made pop tarts which I am so excited to try. The place was pretty busy with minimal inside seating (which speaks to the great coffee and baristas). They offer only two To go sizes 8 or 16 oz. and they have hay straws, which was a first for me but they work great. read more

Awesome find!! We had just finished up a long morning hike nearby and this was exactly the coffee spot we needed. Their COVID practices are top-notch - there are signs posted outside letting you know not to come inside the cafe and rather give you the phone number to call inside and order from the safety of your car (or an app you can download to order online). Mike took my order and was super friendly. We ordered two americanos and they were delivered to the pick-up table outside within only a couple minutes. AND the coffee was delicious. Made it here with my homies from Omak while we were on our way to a late season Farmer's Market in Twisp. So yeah, I'm not a huge coffee person, but we were all in need of a pick me up (atleast I was). This little shop is just off the North Cascades Highway (beautiful), and is in a little tin-walled building. I like that this place roasts their own beans (my friends picked up a bag...yes, they're coffee addicts--just like the all-of-ya's!). I also had a drip coffee and it was good. Drove the Cascade Loop for our anniversary staying in Leavenworth and Winthrop. On the way home, a suggestion from a friend led us to Blue Star Coffee Roasters in Twisp. My wife bought some decaf and I, in my constant search for the perfect espresso roast, purchased the espresso blend. I am Italian and have tried many espresso roasts. This is absolutely the best I've had. You still have to grind it correctly as with any espresso bean but the results have been consistently outstanding. I am hooked. I will be buying Blue Star's espresso blend online forever!! read more

Friendly service, fair prices, and nicely decorated interior with ample parking. This is not a place to hangout and use their wifi, this is a get your coffee and go place. Walked 2 miles from town to get coffee and now there closed at 1:00 pm ?? What coffee shop have you ever been to in your life that is only open for 6 hours .. To add insult to injury I actually came back the next day and it took them 35 minutes to make my single cup of small mocha then when I got it it was a double and when I complained the person at the machine copped a bad attitude as if this was all my fault and re made it FINALLY . Thekids at the counter were great but the lady with the crew cut was just nasty. Way to much trouble and drama to get a simple cup of coffee. P.S. I would say get away from the bankers hours but heck my bank is open twice as long and they give me my money without the attitude. read more

On a very hot, smoky day, having driven for hours without air conditioning in our old car, we stopped at Blue Star Roasters in Twisp on the North Cascades Highway in WA for iced lattes. We were hot, sweaty, tired and thirsty. The lattes we ordered were big ones. And they were absolutely delicious! The place was already full of locals escaping the heat and chatting with one another. Blue Star was an unexpected gem in the Methow. The roasted coffee is delicious, I pick up a bag or two of the Highway 20 blend when I'm passing through. They sell these great coffee canteens too, Kleen Kanteen with their logo on it. The coffee shop itself is not a big deal, but the coffee and mocha's are stellar. read more
