If you are in Twisp, this is a solid choice. It's a nice little bakery, but I do agree with comments in some of the other reviews. We went around the 11 am hour on the weekend, and they were out of several things. The service was perfunctory, not overly friendly. The items we got didn't rock me. We tried the cinnamon twisp, but it wasn't very cinnamony, and it was kind of dry. The same with the fruit danish. Not much filling and kind of dry. They have a cute photo op outside. They have several tables indoors for seating, and it was a busy place. I think they have quality products, and it is up to personal preference on what you take away here. read more

We used to love this place but it has taken a serious nosedive after changing ownership a couple years ago. The egg-le sandwiches used to be so good but now ingredients are lacking or missing entirely. There is a strange vibe inside now - the bakery case is rarely full, the staff seem unhappy, and the artwork from local photographers has disappeared from the walls. Their hours are unpredictable and they randomly close due to "staffing issues", which suggests that the owner isn't paying staff enough to retain them. This place is constantly running out of this or that. Showing up in the morning is no guarantee there will be a bagel available or something else you're hoping to have. Staff is cordial at best. Baked goods taste so good in the North Cascades! There are a number of good bakeries, using local ingredients, and Cinnamon Twisp delivers. Loved the namesake Cinnamon Twisp - so much so we had it two mornings in a row! With the high demand, you will get a freshly baked warm one and it's sweet, gooey and flavorful. We also had one of their sandwiches - Hart's Pass Ham and Swiss: Swiss cheese, smoked ham, red onion, sprouts, cucumbers, garlic aioli, sea salt and pepper. Great combination and also the bread was so good (Italian farm loaf). We also had this two days in a row :). Definitely stop by here when in the area! read more

Cute little shop in a cute little town with the most amazing namesake pastries - cinnamon twisps. When a bakery has a pastry called it's name you know you know it's going to be their best and these certainly delivered! A delicious twisted dough with spicy cinnamon, sticky honey, and hazelnut crumble - what's not to love. We will certainly be stopping here anytime we're in the area from now on just to get a cinnamon twist. I think the cinnamon twisps were worth the hype. Got mine heated and it was cinnamony, chewy, and not too sweet. My ham and cheese quiche was just so so and a little too expensive for the portion size imo. Tasted like it needed more seasoning. Not bad though! Heard the coffee was good. You get a discount if you bring your own mug. Got pretty busy around 8:45am on a Thursday. I think this is a must try place in Twisp. read more

9/23/25 We traveled through TWISP just to visit this bakery. We have dine quite a bit of business with this place for last 8 to 10 years. Our arrival time was 2:10 pm, well before the posted 3:00pm closing time. We did find it closed and locked up with no notice posted! We are aware of the new owner condition and believe that some slack is due however, our frustration has got the better of us. Wow...fast forward 5 years and I have returned to Cinnamon Twisp Bakery! You may be asking why someone like myself from South Florida has ventured back to this tiny coffee/bagel shop in the Pacific Northwest? Well...this past summer I decided to redo North Cascades National Park as my first visit during the month of April 5 years ago was virtually unnavigable with snow everywhere! This time around I returned in the month of August. Lets just say the conditions at North Cascades were quite different, lol. But...onto why I wasn't so thrilled coming back here to Cinnamon Twisp for this second time... Granted...during this Pandemic of 2020 and so on...they still allowed for dine-in seating so you can relax and have your breakfast with a portion of the tables being off-limits. And...it's still good that they open early at 7am for folks like myself who appreciate getting started at sunrise. This spot remains a viable option to grab comfort breakfast items. I guess, just, my biggest issue with Cinnamon Twisp and a downgrade of 2 stars from my prior visit was just the prices. Ugh...for 5 years later my same bagel with cream cheese and large hot chocolate cost like $8 with tax...and then with the tip jar staring me right at me...I just bumped the total to $10. Really? A bagel and hot chocolate for $10? I don't know. Maybe back when prices were cheaper it didn't even occur to me or I didn't even second guess anything...but now it was so noticeably different. I mean, seriously...when I looked up at the menu board and viewed the prices...I did a double take, lol. I can imagine lots of people seeing the prices and reacting like...OMG! Prices for breakfast sandwiches ranged ranged between $6.50 - $7. Imagine if Cinnamon Twisp knew when I was younger I could eating 2 breakfast sandwiches in one sitting. Combine that with a drink and tip and back in the day it probably would have cost me $20 alone for breakfast. In my opinion...how much more, how much further can you raise prices? Anyhow I was on vacation and I never let prices stand in the way of something I desire. But honestly...I'm sure If I stopped at a gas station and grabbed a hot drink and breakfast sandwich I could get it for $5 - $6...half as much. But...overall it felt nice during this pandemic to sit down at a table...take in the quiet morning ambiance here and feel normal for a little bit. For this tiny town of Twisp, Washington...there's really not much elsewhere to go for a decent breakfast...especially for the "early bird" people. You're on the outskirts of the remote North Cascades...options are extremely limited. Would I ever return to Cinnamon Twisp for a 3rd time? Probably not. But in the moment and after fond memories from my first visit...my expectations were high to return here. It would have been quite awkward and disappointing to look up at the menu board and then just walk out of the store. I was spending the night in Winthrop and awakened early. Too early, to be honest. But I knew I wasn't getting back to sleep, so I hit the road by 6am just hoping someplace was open for coffee earrrrlllyyyy on a Sunday morning. I was delighted when Yelp led me to the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery just a few miles down the road. Entering the bakery was one of those delightful experiences for the senses - especially the smell of fresh-baked goodness wafting from the back. In front, the glass cases were full of all sorts of muffins and deliciousness. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, and a toasted bagel with herbed cream cheese. Soon my to-go order was ready, and I headed to my car to hit the road. The latte was tasty and perked me right up. I wasn't overly impressed with the bagel - the flavor was good but one of my Bagel Pet Peeves is when they "toast" it but it's not really toasted? The schmeer of cream cheese was a little paltry as well. Oh well, it hit the spot until I stopped for brunch a few hours later. Stopped by after visiting the Twisp farmers market and was so delighted by this bakery. They have tons of food options ranging from sandwiches, pastries, and cookies etc. the cinnamon Twisp was a favorite. Great little shop in Twisp! Stopped by on the way from Winthrop to Lake Chelan; had a coffee and a cinnamon twist, husband had a lemon blueberry roll, and my son had a bagel sandwich. My cinnamon twist was delicious...so good. I did pop it in the nearby microwave to warm it up some. The husband's blueberry roll was a little dryer; he did not warm his up (probably should have), but my son enjoyed his breakfast sandwich without complaints. Drip coffee is self-serve from containers on the side, which I never find keep coffee warm enough, but other specialty drinks are made on the spot. Bread selections are available as well; we got a sourdough for our lake visit, but to be honest, the bread was a little dry and the bottom was very dark/black and overcooked. Overall, this place is a solid four stars and worth a pit stop if you need a morning coffee or an afternoon pick-me-up. read more

My wife and I were driving through last this weekend, our friend told us to stop by there and have a coffee and one of their cinnamon twists. Service was great unfortunately they did not have any left. They were sold out by 10. We went for a walk with the dog and we parked out front, as we get back to the car the young lady that served us comes out and says we found one here you go. Hours need to be updated. We were staying in Winthrop and got up early to head back home to Chelan. Instead of going to the bakery in Winthrop we decided to head to the Twisp Bakery but they weren't open. It was 7:30 on a Sunday and everything online and on their door said they should be open. But I really have to shout out to the amazing kindness of the staff that found my purse, which I left behind before heading home to Oregon, and mailed it back to me the same day!! Had the most delicious cinnamon twist and London fog. As soon as I walked in the aroma of fresh baked goods wafted through the air. It was welcoming and inviting and the staff were nice. Super disappointed that the cookies and Italian Bread loaf we purchased were clearly day old. It's not possible that they were made fresh that morning, given we purchased them Saturday morning 10 minutes after they opened. Clue should have been that the bread was sealed in a platic bag..maybe? Most bakeries, when fresh, have them in paper to start for the first part of the day. My husband got introduced to the magic of cinnamon Twisps a few years ago when a friend brought us one and he has been obsessed ever since with going to the bakery and getting his own cinnamon Twisp. I called in advance and ordered 20 of these little beauties (yes, he is eating all of them). We picked them up the next morning and also tried their ham and cheese quiche, a blueberry scone, and a chocolate crinkle cookie. Everything we ate was great but the cinnamon Twisp is the hands down favorite. They have a wide variety of items on the menu to try. I've had their granola before also and it's really good too. You should definitely visit Cinnamon Twisp if you happen to be in Twisp and make sure you get the namesake pastry because it is delicious! read more

We stopped by here on the way home from our trip to Mazama. I only wish I lived closer so I could come back more often! Their baked goods are delicious. Especially the Zucchini bread. I have always loved this place, but I just ordered a veggie sandwich on Gluten Free bread for $10. It was so small I thought it was a half sandwich before opening it. Maybe 5-6 bites total. No chips, nothing. It was like a finger sandwich haha. What a joke. It tasted great, but for $10 that's a total scam. Make your GF bread bigger or at least tell people it is minuscule. Total disappointment. Had a much better (and cheaper) sandwich with chips down at the Pateros Bakery another hour down the road yesterday. Highly recommend that unassuming place. If you're in Twisp and you don't make it by the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery you've done yourself a disservice. I'm in town for a couple of days and have visited the last two mornings. Day one I had a latte, egg sandwich, and muffin. Day two I got a latte, turkey club sandwich, and splurged on the cinnamon Twisp pastry. The coffee is wonderful, the pastries are decadent, and the sandwiches are very tasty. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. The prices are maybe a bit high, but reasonable considering this is a town that caters to travelers. If you're in town, I'd highly recommend that you treat yourself to a stop at the Cinnamon Twisp. read more

I did not believe the twisp hype... but it's legit. It's no more expensive than any other national park gateway town... I live in one. But, it isn't cheap. However, the employees were busting it and had great attitudes- so if the money goes to them and the cost to get goods ordered and delivered in the middle of nowhere... then it makes sense. read more
