For those Starfleet personnel who have yet to experience an IGA, let me explain that in general, an IGA is a functional but unexceptional retail environment in which humans acquire routine foodstuffs. And certainly, that is possible here. But this IGA improves on the usual model by offering a solid selection of locally produced goods. That includes a shelf full of soaps, coffees and other local delicacies. It also includes a produce section that clearly flags seasonal items from local farms. For those of us here on research missions, that is a huge time-saver. The Evergreen IGA is an excellent place for Starfleet personnel to satisfy their nutritional requirements. It is also a surprisingly useful place to satisfy their curiosity about the products of the Methow Valley.

I'm not trying to shame anyone at all but a lot of the clothes the workers wear are pretty dirty looking and don't even look like they want to be there at all. There was a worker saying he didn't even want to be there, which is silly to say so loudly in front of customers. Maybe they don't, but maybe customer service isn't for them then, and maybe the managing should be doing a better job at managing.

This was months ago now, but I'll never forget how it took 30 minutes for one of their behind the bar workers to pour me and my husband a bowl of soup. We couldnt have been less cared for as we were clearly tourists in the town and the 2 workers really only seemed to care about conversation with each other and people they knew also sitting at the bar. Please do not contact me about how you can improve your business either, owner/manager. All I have to say is improve your customer service. The cashier however was delightful and friendly and the soup was good which is why there are 2 more than just the one star. read more

You order and pay first inside at the counter, snag a number and a staff member delivers your food to the table. My partner and I both ordered different protein bowls and a salad and had a hard kombucha. My protein bowl was delicious with the steelhead as my protein of choice with rice, beans, jalapenos, greens, pickled red onions, avocado and a cilantro dressing. It was very filling, nourishing and delicious! The salad was also very good, with fresh greens in a light dressing. Everything was healthy and wholesome and left us satisfied. I highly recommend visiting Jupiter if you're in the Winthrop area for a meal. They have fresh, whole foods that are packed with protein and everything you need after a day of hiking.
