    JINYA Tonkotsu Black*
    Brian Q.

Me and few friends needed a hangover lunch and JINYA hit the spot! JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen looked like their classic specialty so most of us ordered that and it did not disappoint! The noodles were delightfully chewy and the broth had a rich and full flavor without being overly fatty; I finished every drop of the garlicky goodness. The pork chashu was tender and the egg had a jammy orange yolk. The Birria ramen sounded interesting but a bit gimmicky. They also have chicken ramen for those who cannot appreciate the deliciousness that pork offers. The interior was cozy and upscale for a ramen spot and they have an outdoor patio which is nearly as large as the inside. The service was respectable but not noteworthy. Cons: A little pricey but I guess that's par for the course in Preston Hollow. $23 for my bowl of ramen after tax & tip. Moriya Shokuda is still my current favorite ramen spot but JINYA is very solid! 4.5 stars!

Ordered the premium red tonkatsu, I would say the broth was decent but nothing to rave about; I ordered spice level 5 and the spice level was perfect for me, but could have been a little more flavorful as a whole. The egg was cooked perfectly and the best part of the dish. The noodles had a good consistency but again because the broth was missing some flavors, the noodles were a little lackluster. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was fine, but music was a little loud.

Came here on a beautiful day and sat on the patio. Our server was great, very nice and attentive. I ordered an iced green tea, which was good and something you can't always find so it was nice to have! I got the spicy creamy v ramen and it was delicious! They served the ramen with different salt and sauces on the side, but the ramen didn't need any of that, the flavor was so great!

Overall it was pretty good. The ramen was very tasty and even better with the sauce added from the table. The bowls were presented well and eye-catching. Gyoza was good, but nothing special. We sat outside and the cilantro flew off our mini tacos before we got them. I thought it odd that they didn't just bring more cilantro, but still very tasty. We did sit outside, but I thought the service was still VERY slow considering it wasn't crowded. Our server was kind, knowledgeable and polite, but honestly didn't deserve the tip I left. There were several times we were looking around for her. I understand if other tables sat after us get their meals first, but a large party sat after us was already done eating before we got our meals and there were 3 of us. It took over 45 minutes for our food and I don't think it was the kitchen judging by other tables. When we were done eating, it was over 15 minutes before she came by. Our server went to a nearby table but didn't say she would be right back or check in with us or anything. I left cash with a generous tip because I didn't want to continue waiting for her to come back with change when we finally got the bill. Not at all her fault that the weather turned cold, but honestly for the food prices, I expected better service. I definitely didn't expect to be there well over 2 hours. That just put a damper on the experience for me.

Very delicious Ramen. The broth and toppings are great. Also your add on toppings might come on the side and not pre mixed in They also have seasonal/rotating bowl flavors. I had the birria ramen, the flavor was on point and I appreciated that it did not come with cheese. Service was good but all the staff holla something in Japanese when any customer enters or exists. It's a small space so this was loud and interrupted my table conversation several times, very annoying. My server was very attentive. Ambiance is good minus all the staff yelling things out.

Came here with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. It's a cute establishment in a very walkable area.To our surprise it was happy hour! However, there was not much on the happy hour. I opted for the shrimp wonton ramen. It came with a heavy fish smell but was pretty good! I added a dollop of the spicy sauce on the table and that really added depth to the flavor. We ordered the crunchy rice with spicy tuna and I enjoyed it, my husband said it wasn't spicy. We also got the pork gyoza with we thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the JINYA bun which we both really like also. The drinks weren't great. You may be better off ordering something simple like a jack and coke, the do have a full bar. Our server Melinda(or Madison) I can't remember her name, but she was new and she did an amazing job! We would definitely be back!

I'm always on the hunt for a good bowl of Ramen. Jinya did not disappoint. The service was so awesome, environment was a vibe, and to food Is top notch. We ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken, Pork Gyoza and the Black Tonkotsu. The Crispy Fried Chicken was out of this world delicious. It came with a dipping sauce. The Pork Gyoza were so flavorful and juicy with a hint of lemongrass and ginger. The Black Tonkotsu had perfect seasoning. Rich, with a broth that has body to it, almost light a thin sauce. It was outstanding. The energy from the staff and the environment itself, makes this the perfect place to hang out and catchup with friends over a bowl of delicious Ramen and appetizers. Well done Jinya, you have a new customer.

First time here. Birra bowl had good flavor. The Chicken Chashu was tasty but not my jam. We also tried the fried chicken appetizer. Not my fave. Just nice large chicken nuggets. Service was average, but not a show stopper.

Service was stellar! The drinks are delicious and the noodles in the ramen had an incredible texture! If you love mood lighting and loud music, this is the place for you! Many of the dishes came out cooler than room temperature (the dishes that were supposed to hot). Some of the raw fish did not have much flavor including the spicy tuna. The restaurant does have happy hour, so I might return to check that out and have a warm bowl of ramen!

This location is very convenient and nice, and the service was excellent. For the food, I am always impressed with Jinya, in this location did not disappoint. The environment is also relaxing, not too loud or too quiet!

Food was great! I'm usually not a ramen person as crazy as this may sound, but it was flavorful and delicious. Drinks were good, and appetizers were amazing. Their happy hour has good prices. I was killing those salmon tacos, it's so crispy, light, and refreshing. Service was superb waitress took care of us. It's a nice pretty little place the area and surroundings has shopping centers and different restaurants nearby walking distance. I liked it!

I love it so much ! The food presentation was amazing and the food was delectable, very warm, calming and welcoming environment! Definitely recommend for all ages

Solid ramen spot! Nice airy interior in a cute Plaza. The thick noodles were so good. We tried the tonkotsu black, the tonkotsu red, and the tonkotsu original. All were hearty and delicious. I'm so partial to thicker noodles so those were my favorites. Very kind staff! Free parking garage across the street

Honestly, if you told me, I'd find Tokyo train station energy in the middle of Dallas, I'd assume you mixed up your flight connections. First the service. Crazy good. Fast, friendly, shockingly, competent, and basically everything you don't mentally prepare for when someone says, let's get Ramen in Texas. It's more attentive than what I'm used to standing Ramen, to be honest basically they are self serve. So if the service is bad at your own fault. Finding the place, however? A quest. Google, yelp, Apple maps all tried their best and still acted like I was searching for the lost city of Atlantis. Even now, I'm not convinced I can find it again without divine intervention. A treasure hunt for Ramen at the end of the rainbow is only cardio I'm signing up for. Confession, I'm not even a Ramen fan. Like at all. And yet. OMG. I ordered the weekly special, the Rose cream Ramen, which is basically Korean tteobokki rose sauce but instead of chewy rice cakes, you get chewy Ramen noodles living their best life. It's creamy, spicy, comforting, and absolutely worth popping a Lactaid for. Lactose intolerant folks, unite and suffer intolerance together and noodle induced bliss. I have to admit this bowl was spot on amazing. Honestly, better than the instant Ramen I tossed into my Rose tteobokki at home, and I don't say that lightly because that combo has carried me through some dark times. Parking? Well let's just say walking from far away was a blessing. After inhaling that bowl, I needed to trek a walk of the incoming food coma, that was swallowing me whole. Impossible to find. Impossible not to love. And absolutely impossible to believe it's in Dallas, Texas.

I asked if they had mimosas in which the server replied they did not. However, she came back shortly after and said they could make an exception! I appreciated that and thought it was a nice gesture. Overall, service was really great and attentive. At no point did our water glasses go empty, and we placed our orders super quick. For lunch, I had the Spicy Creamy V Ramen. My friend had Tonkotsu Black. We also split an order of the French fries. Overall, the ramen was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, but I appreciate that JINYA includes sauces on the table to add to your ramen. The toppings (onions, tofu, etc.) were delicious and fresh. I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would definitely be back for a quick, affordable lunch.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.
