    Rigatoni alla vodka

Had a great meal at Centrale Italia. We ordered the rigatoni alla vodka, arugula salad with added salmon, and calamari fritti, everything was delicious! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was creamy. Service was friendly and attentive. We sat outside and the patio was nice. They're dog friendly on the patio btw

Okay, I hate to do this;however, it is really important to vet your wait staff! In a short amount of time they can ruin what could have been an amazing experience. Let's start with the food. We ordered an appetizer, Carta Musica. The description was the draw.. let's break bread. A simple oil, garlic and basil dipping sauce with a light bread to start. "Chucky" as he referred to himself, took it upon himself to drop off this beautiful starter, and without asking he said here is something I like to do, and he poured cheese into the dipping sauce without asking! Now I am all about a good suggestion however etiquette would be to ask. This restaurant projects a higher end feel. Really? What if I hate cheese or was allergic? Continue forward when our meal, which looked amazing, was delivered. The boy who dropped asked if we wanted cheese, both of us replied, No. Chucky comes flopping over and again without asking, grates cheese over my tortellini. I'm still trying to salvage the experience. The food while delicious did not go down smoothly. He comes over and says, how are my girls doing? At this point, I would not expect less from Chucky. I personally, do not like be addresses as someone's girl, by a man I do not know. The final straw for this experience was when he dropped out check. His final goodbye- make sure you go online and I quote, "Chucky, did you right!" I have no words for the awful and degrading taste this left in my mouth. If you do go make sure you ask not to sit in Chucky's section.

Had such a wonderful evening here! Service is great, from checking in to leaving the restaurant. The ambiance is very gorgeous and modern. Parking is easy, as well as making a reservation. The hosts and servers are all very friendly and helpful. We were seated at a half booth, half chair table. We started with the fried burrata and whipped ricotta on crostini with hot honey appetizers. Both were very good, especially the whipped ricotta. For my entree, I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka and it was actually ridiculously good. Probably the best one I've had, and it's my go-to dish! I loved the calabrian chili, adding pops of spice and tanginess. I also tried the Tartufo pizza, and it was pretty good! Crispy and flavorful without a burnt crust. My only complaint is the restaurant is pretty cramped. I had to shuffle through chairs and tables to get to the bathroom. I would still return, especially for that pasta!

A nice place. Excited to see how they grow. They have limited hours as of November '25. The manager said they are expanding to lunch and potentially being open 7 days a week. Also they might get a happy hour soon which I think it's a must in Preston Hallow. The drinks were good but pricey. We will be back as the menu looked really nice and I have to try the pizza. There is a truffle pizza with shaved truffle on it according to the menu. The bar tender said it was no joke and seemed really confident it would knock your socks off. We will see!

They've been open for 1 week and at present are only open for dinner. I came in to check it out. Good service, I sat at the bar. Very chic interior, wood fired oven. Had a couple drinks and cake to go $48. They do not yet have happy hour and within a couple weeks will be opening for lunch dinner. I look forward to coming back and trying more food

Went there for lunch! I had the Parmesan crusted cod and it was delicious. Didn't taste fishy at all. Torrie was our waitress and she was very attentive with a great personality. Will definitely go back!

The newly opened Centrale Italia offers a beautifully designed atmosphere with warm, welcoming service--starting with the bartender at the full bar lounge. The pasta and pizza are delicious, crafted by a Brooklyn-born chef with Italian heritage. Our server, Cameron, was excellent and very informative. We will definitely be returning for dinner again soon.

I was welcomed immediately as I walked in by Rose. She was so patient and helpful when it came to deciding on what to try as a first timer. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was amazing. All of the staff were so kind. Amazing service.

Made a reservation on OpenTable. There was a ton of seating- bar, booths and elevated booths. We were sat in an elevated booth. Nice view of interview like we're queens of the mountain. Decor had modern with unique touches- glass baubles light fixtures, barrels of wine portrait hung in just the way it appeared 3D, and playful fellow art pieces. Staff appeared a well oiled machine. Server-Gio -ask for him. He ensured that we had a top notch, educating, heart fulfilling experience. Now, I know that the tiramisu was created near Venice in Treviso! Music ranged from country (it is Texas!) to Teddy Swims. A gentle departure from your standard Sinatra. They feature a wood fire oven here. We ordered the Espresso martini, garlic bread (accompanied by olive oil), tomato and avocado burrata salad, lasagna, Brooklyn pizza, a custom pasta dish (company wanted angel hair), tiramisu and cannoli. Straightforward presentation. Food was delicious with the tiramisu being a stand out. Absolutely scrumptious. Yes, there were leftovers! There's an outdoor lot parking by the Trader Joe's and a covered lot. Buon appetito!

We had mussels, bolognese & Fettuccine Limone. The noodles seemed to be freshly pulled and the sauces were very good. The bartender, Rose, made a great old fashion and an off menu mocktail that was delicious.

Our server, Stephen, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. We started with the bruschetta board and it was delicious. My favorites were definitely the salmon & pesto and the goat cheese with sweet pepper jam--so flavorful and balanced perfectly. We both ordered the Select Two combo. I got a nine inch panini on focaccia bread paired with the soup of the moment: potato, leek, and artichoke soup, which was surprisingly so good and comforting. My friend ordered the same combo but paired hers with the Brussels sprout salad and had her panini on focaccia bread with tuna. She was also offered three wine tastings, which we thought was such a nice touch! To end everything, we tried the hot donut dots and they were amazing. They didn't taste oily at all, were light and fluffy, not overly sweet, and cooked perfectly. Definitely a spot we'd come back to again!

We have a very nice meal here on Wednesday! I saw this place had opened, and several months ago,…read moreEric R. and I popped in to look at the menu. The host led us from the quiet entry bar/waiting room down a narrow hallway to the back, where a "secret" sushi bar awaited. We made a mental note to return when we could, so I made reservations for right after I flew into DFW. Our seats at the barre were designated for Lisa R. with a lit-up sign, so that was cool. There are purse hooks under the bar at each seat!!! I started with the pandan oolong tea (oolong with coconut and pandan syrup), and Eric R. got the Okinawa green tea. We reviewed the menu options. Omakase is available for reservations only, so we could choose from those options, a handroll omakase/dinner set, or a la carte. There were also special fish and cold plates for the day. We ultimately agreed to do the classic omakase set, which came with plenty of food. Each of us could pick two starters. Eric R. chose seaweed salad and miso soup; I chose shishitos and edamame. They were individually served with dramatic white serveware which were from Italy or France. Then we had our hot tasting: black cod filled with scallop mousse in black truffe cream sauce. It was definitely rich and unctuous! Next we got our nigiri from Chef Manuel. All of the fish is aged from 3 to 25 days, which makes this quite unique from the ultra fresh raw fish at most omakase and sushi restaurants. Nigiri course: Akami (lean tuna) with shiitake mushroom pate Madai (sea bream) with chive Shima Aji (striped jack) with grated raw garlic Kanpachi (amberjack) with Japanese tea flower Hamachi (yellowtail) with shaved bottarga King salmon topped with kizami wasabi Chu-toro with pickled cherry tomato Uni in open mini temaki Then a different chef took over for us for handrolls. He made them to order and kept serving Eric R. first, so Eric R. asked him to serve me first for the third one. Temaki course: King salmon Spicy akami tuna Fried eel with avocado Finally, we were served a dessert course of miso citrus ice cream, matcha meringue, yuzu cured, kiwi, and two kinds of oranges. It was very refreshing! The service was fantastic throughout and I was impressed that each chef has to know how long each fish is aged and where it is from. Most fish came from Japan except the king salmon from New Zealand. We were not told where the uni was from, but it likely was listed on the special menu. Overall, the ambiance is great, we never felt rushed, there was plenty of food, the staff is fantastic, and the quality was excellent. I enjoyed the flavors and the fish was already seasoned and sauced to the chef's preferences, so no extra soy sauce was needed. I think it would be fun to return and try out the a la carte menu in the future. Itadakimasu!

Waters Edge is a winery and a bistro - so you can come for drinks or a meal or both. We were told that they make all of the wines on their menu, of which there are dozens of wines on their menu. I've been to a few urban wineries before, and it's an interesting concept. Waters Edge buys grape must (crushed grapes) from around the world and then craft and bottle wines made from that must at their locations (this Dallas location is one of 15 across the country). Wanting to try a few of their wines, the four of us shared two flights of five wines each. We tried the Tour of Armenia and Alec's Flight (a rotating selection of wines by their winemaker). Did I like every wine? No. But I thought most of them were pretty good. Personally, I'm not sure they need to make this many wines; I'll always prefer a business that does ten things well than fifty things fine (the Cheesecake Factory rule). But most of the wines were pretty nice (of the 10 I tried, I wouldn't drink 3 or 4 but wouldn't mind drinking the rest again). I appreciated that many of their wines are Armenian style, because I haven't had much opportunity to try Armenian wines. We also ordered a few snacks - they have a full food menu. We shared their Deviled Egg of the Month (2 eggs - 4 halves) and their Cheese is Life Board (two cheeses, hot honey, giardiniera, and crispy flatbread), which were both good snacks. They've been open just under a year, but the place doesn't feel quite lived in yet. The dining room has a large room divider in it, set up like a bookshelf. It has books and card/trivia games about wine and more. But many of these items were still wrapped in plastic, making it feel a little impersonal. The service was good, and it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours! The food we had was pretty good. The wines in my opinion are just okay - probably not the spot to take a wine snob on a date. But they have a large variety of wines, so you're likely to find one or many that you like. Not a bad place to spend some time if you're in the neighborhood!
