I went for lunch with a girlfriend the other day, the food and service was great! We had the whipped ricotta which was warm and filling! The bread it was served on was amazing! We got the sweet & spicy pepperoni pizza, wagyu meatball sub, and the tortellini. Everything was great, we were really impressed with it all. We also tried two of their craft cocktails. I had the margarita with cilantro and Serrano syrup it was refreshing with a little spice. She had the limoncello martini which she loved. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

Upon entering, we were greeted warmly. The decor and interior are gorgeous. The vibe is warm and inviting. It's a large restaurant but it feels cozy. The ambience is one where you want to be there. 5/5 on ambience. Our server, Matthew, was one of the best we have ever had. He was warm, friendly, and helpful. He engaged with the kid and made her feel welcome. He steered me to choices that turned out great. 5/5 on service. We started with the caprese salad and it was excellent. The portion was small for the money, but the quality and flavor were outstanding. Matthew steered me to the lasagna and it was excellent. It was so rich that I could only eat half. I would have liked a bit more sauce, but overall it was very tasty and had lots of meat. I would get it again, maybe split it with the wife who also liked it. The wife had the Bolognese and it was good but not great. It. is supposed to be a pasta and meat dish but there was almost discernible meat. She found one small piece of meat. It was not bad, just not as good as she had hoped, or that we had experienced at Zeppole. She would not get it again. Instead, she stole my lasagna! For dessert, the wife had the olive oil cake. It was good but a bit dry, it should be moister. The kid had the lava cake and although she loves chocolate, she said there was too much. I guess it was cloying sweet. I had chocolate gelato and had no complaints. I cannot leave the review without mentioning the Silicon margarita. Wow, they (plural) were outstanding. I could drink those all night and live to regret it the next day. It is a perfectly balanced blend of flavors with Don Julio tequila, my favorite. Be sure to sip it through the salt. That is one dangerous margarita. I loved it. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. The bolognese and dry olive oil cake prevent a 5 star review, but it certainly was a very good restaurant. If you plugged a prompt into Chat GPT that said "Give me a business plan for a standard Americanized Italian restaurant in a wealthy part of Dallas," it would have spit out Centrale Italia. We came here the other night with one set of parents for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, so we were initially put outside where the worst possible seating could be and were being bowled over by the wind. We finally made it inside, where they had terrible acoustics, so you needed to shout to be heard. Biggest indication of amateur design. The food actually isn't bad, it's just your run-of-the-mill greatest hits stuff that you've seen before. We started with the brussels sprouts and calamari, both hot and crispy and well-seasoned, no complaints. One of us got the beet salad as her main course, and while there was way too much dressing, it was still very good. The other one got the chicken piccata and that was probably our favorite dish of the night since the sauce was perfectly salty with the capers, the chicken was crispy, and we appreciated the side of greens. Our daughter had a lasagna that was decent, and we did like the spicy rigatoni one of the parents got. The alfredo was the worst dish of the night. For dessert, there's your average tiramisu and gelato. Service was a solid B-. Overall, again, nothing was "bad"...it just felt like you were in IRL AI restaurant slop. Came here for a Sunday lunch and it couldn't have worked out better. There was a parking garage nearby that was easy to navigate. I was also able to get seated immediately on the patio, which was clutch because I was starving. The outdoor seating was a great vibe! Service was excellent right from the start. I ordered the calamari and the rigatoni alla vodka. Love that you can choose your protein (shrimp or chicken, or upgrade to sausage for a few extra bucks). Had such a wonderful evening here! Service is great, from checking in to leaving the restaurant. The ambiance is very gorgeous and modern. Parking is easy, as well as making a reservation. The hosts and servers are all very friendly and helpful. We were seated at a half booth, half chair table. We started with the fried burrata and whipped ricotta on crostini with hot honey appetizers. Both were very good, especially the whipped ricotta. For my entree, I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka and it was actually ridiculously good. Probably the best one I've had, and it's my go-to dish! I loved the calabrian chili, adding pops of spice and tanginess. I also tried the Tartufo pizza, and it was pretty good! Crispy and flavorful without a burnt crust. A nice place. Excited to see how they grow. They have limited hours as of November '25. The manager said they are expanding to lunch and potentially being open 7 days a week. Also they might get a happy hour soon which I think it's a must in Preston Hallow. The drinks were good but pricey. We will be back as the menu looked really nice and I have to try the pizza. There is a truffle pizza with shaved truffle on it according to the menu. The bar tender said it was no joke and seemed really confident it would knock your socks off. We will see! read more

As always my reviews are a function of value/quality for price. Simple, but nice ambience, not noisy like so many places even though it was full. Excellent service with the minor flairs that add a little to the experience - fresh parmesan and cracked pepper at the table. Dishes: salads - caprese avocado and misto, both excellent and good sized portions. Mains - scampi pasta and salmon - both good flavors, well cooked and nice size, but not huge, portions. Dessert a peach pastry with ice cream, served hot with the ice cream melting, delicious. Didn't try the pizzas, but we watched several come out and the looked great and are certainly more than what one person could eat. For 2 with drinks, just over $100 plus tax and tip. For the quality of the place we consider that good value. read more

Okay, I hate to do this;however, it is really important to vet your wait staff! In a short amount of time they can ruin what could have been an amazing experience. Let's start with the food. We ordered an appetizer, Carta Musica. The description was the draw.. let's break bread. A simple oil, garlic and basil dipping sauce with a light bread to start. "Chucky" as he referred to himself, took it upon himself to drop off this beautiful starter, and without asking he said here is something I like to do, and he poured cheese into the dipping sauce without asking! Now I am all about a good suggestion however etiquette would be to ask. This restaurant projects a higher end feel. Really? What if I hate cheese or was allergic? Continue forward when our meal, which looked amazing, was delivered. The boy who dropped asked if we wanted cheese, both of us replied, No. Chucky comes flopping over and again without asking, grates cheese over my tortellini. I'm still trying to salvage the experience. The food while delicious did not go down smoothly. He comes over and says, how are my girls doing? At this point, I would not expect less from Chucky. I personally, do not like be addresses as someone's girl, by a man I do not know. The final straw for this experience was when he dropped out check. His final goodbye- make sure you go online and I quote, "Chucky, did you right!" I have no words for the awful and degrading taste this left in my mouth. I asked if we could just get everything else in it and he said "no"? We ordered the wild mushroom instead and while I didn't taste the thyme or pesto, it was still really good. Arugula salad: I think it's $14 or close, so I expected a decent size. It wasn't, and it had one piece of fennel. One. Disappointing. Flavor was good, lemony and fresh. Service: Ordered a cocktail when we sat down. It didn't come for a while. We asked about it, kind of had to remind the server, and it finally arrived with our appetizer, mussels, but I wouldn't have paired the cocktail with mussels so kinda meh. The mussels, however, were really good. They'd get a 5. So overall the food was good, and I'd be curious to try some other things, but it's all a part of the experience and that overall was so-so. read more

We've got another good one here in PH! Finally had a chance to stop in for dinner at Centrale Italia, and it did not disappoint. Why I really like this place... they make a lot of their bread and pasta in house and it's delicious. Our waiter and the servers on staff were on point, like a fine dining restaurant but more relaxed. That's why Centrale really shines, the dishes are recognizably traditional Italian, but done with a little flare and also executed very well. We ordered the Espresso martini, garlic bread (accompanied by olive oil), tomato and avocado burrata salad, lasagna, Brooklyn pizza, a custom pasta dish (company wanted angel hair), tiramisu and cannoli. I only wish they offered a happy hour so I could have tried more than one! My husband and our friends ordered martinis and all agreed they were very well made. I just want to rave about the incredible service we received here. They made our daughter's 16th birthday celebration so special. They were able accommodate our request to sit her and her friends at a separate table from us to give them grown up girl time. The manager sat us at the bar which was directly across from the girls so we could keep an eye on them. Love that! Their waiter was so sweet and treated them like royalties. As for the parents' experience, the three bartenders working were on their game. Service was fast. Drinks and entrees were excellent. We chatted with a couple next to us and they were singing praises about the food too. By the end of dinner, we were surprised to see a tray of desserts being brought out to our daughter's table. We thought it was a display tray for them to pick which dessert they wanted. No!! The restaurant gave the girls a giant tray of different desserts! I almost cried. That made all of our night. The girls loved their special dinner. The manager and staff were so kind and thought of all the details even with a packed house. They treated the shy teenage girls like VIPs.
